Sigh. Not sure what to do here. The first pair ordered were a size 36. Loved them. Loved the unique pattern on the black shagreen. Loved the comfort. But they may have been oh so slightly too small. So I ordered the 37. The pattern was completely different - more blue than green and smaller, less iridescent dots. Not quite as comfortable (stiffer) and slightly too large. Just call me Goldilocks. May exchange both for two additional pair in same sizes and see what I get. If two pair of the same shoes can be that different, maybe I'll hit the right ones with another round of orders.

I ended up having to size up from my usual 41 to a 42 in this shoe. The 41 just fit my right foot. My big toe would go over the edge a bit, and I hate that. The left foot was okay. 42s fit better, although I had tighten the first straps to the last hole. They are amazngly comfortable and look so great on! I want them in every color. I purchased the ocean, which is a lovely medium blue shade. I ordered the sand dollar from another store because zappos is out of 42s. Frankly I would also love the black and orange colors! I live in Dansko clogs all winter, and now I can enjoy the same unsurpassed comfort all summer, too! Highly recommend.

I have a love affair with taupe -- particularly the cool shade of taupe shown in the sand dollar color, so I had to have these shoes. I wear a 41 in Dansko clogs, and a 39 in my Birkenstock sandals. Since my normal size for an open-toed shoe is a 9, I split the difference and ordered a size 40 in this gorgeous shoe. It just barely fit, and did feel like heaven on my foot, but when I walked my big toe went over the edge, just like everybody else said. Obviously, I should have heeded their warnings! I am returning it for my usual Dansko size of 41 and hope it fits. I did notice that when I tightened the buckles, my big toe stopped slipping forward, but the buckles felt a bit tight and that won't be good in the summer heat. Other notes: the leather is very soft and smooth, they feel light and not clunky, and are just plain cute. I do think they are not only a little small, but a tad narrow in the toe area. I hope the 41s fit as Zappos is out of the sand dollar in the 42!

I wear an 8.5 wide but this shoe was too small. Even with the adjustable strap it was too narrow and a bit short.

These are extremely comfortable and pretty cute. Great for walking. Orthopedic feel without the bulky look.

Super comfortable & I love the wide straps and the somewhat raised heel. The arch support is excellent. After trying different shoes of yours I think Dansko is the best bet for fit and comfort though the Ecco sandals I bought were also great.

I have many pairs of Dansko shoes and sandals and these sandals are possibly my favorite of them all. The leather is not hard or scratchy like some sandals, and the buckles allow for a custom fit on my narrow feet. I'm thinking of buying another pair in either the blue or green!

These are great, which is what I expect from Dansko. They are cute and comfortable. I love them!

These are the most comfortable shoes ever! I usually am in pain from any shoes but these fit like they were made for me. I got mine at Nordstroms cheaper than they are offered here (but they were on sale).

I think the shagreen leather finish is the most beautiful and interesting leather texture I've ever seen. I bought the Dansko Sophie in a 41, though, and it just doesn't look good on my size 10 feet (looked great on my sister's size 7s, though). I'm going to return these and try the Dansko Sandie in shagreen.

Fell in love with the looks of these sandals. Dansko shoes are generally comfortable. I usually wear the clogs in size 42 (around size 11 US) so i took that size and applied it to this purchase. They fit great! Upon placing my feet in them i couldn’t believe how comfy they were. And the buckles are adjustable too so you can tighten a bit to make your feet feel more secure. I must say I enjoyed walking in these for 4 hours but there is only 1 disappointing downfall after taking them off for a half hour... my baby toes eventually felt pain! I was confused because wearing them caused no pain any where. It wasn’t until i was walking in flat shoes that the pain came on. I looked at my left baby toe and it was all pink and inflamed. Initially i thought it was a reaction to the buckle material so I checked my right baby toe and that was pink too. As the hours went by the pain became worse. I went to take a look at it and bam! A blister developed. This saddens me because these sandals were shoes i took a chance on especially with a fused ankle. For overall /comfort I rated a 4 because of the blisters but a 5 in style because these are so different from Dansko. Hope this review helps.

This shoe should be avoided if you have wide feet. Even though the straps are adjustable and can easily fit wide feet, the footbed is very narrow. What a shame, since Dansko is the only shoe I have ever found to have an arch support high enough for my foot. Dansko, you are missing a wide market by not having wide widths!

Way cute shoe! Comfy, and having the two buckles allows for a totally custom fit! Moderate arch support, nicely cushioned footbed that's soft & doesn't make your feet sweat. Simple, but classy. Great for work or more casual events. Note: the "Black Shagreen" variation is very pretty, but it is not as dark as it appears in the photo. It actually almost looks polka-dotted. I like it but it isn't quite as conservative as I expected.

I was excited to get this new sandals - they are cute (per me) and comfortable. Unfortunately, they definitely run at least 1/2 size smaller than what I normally wear. For wide feet, the straps are adjustable but the foot bed seems to be average (ie not wide). Will have to return these but still a huge fan of Dansko.

These are wonderful sandals for someone with narrow to medium feet. The shoe itself isn't wide enough for me. Excellent arch support.

I received these sandals in two days: they were a very nice shade of green, but the leather had a dark mark on the top of the leather,so I ordered a second pair hoping to remedy the situation. The second pair was worse than the first appearing to have a spot that seemed to be touched up. I have had at least 10 pairs of Dansko shoes and have had no problems. Also had to order another color that Zappos was sold out; that one had brown blotches on them. This is also the first pair of ten pairs that was too tight on upper strap, so fortunately could be adjusted but makes straps look differently on side.

These are the best sandals!!!! Why are you discontinuing them???

Best shoe I've bought in a very, very, long time. Quality, fit, and comfort!!! I have been ordering many shoes lately and find myself having to return them because they were all very cheap, heavy, and uncomfortable. These are my first Dansko and I'm impressed with the quality, fit and comfort, they also look great!!! I really hope they continue to make quality shoes because they are a rarity these days. I will be ordering extras!!!

Everything is perfect for me. I have recently been diagnosed with achilles tendonitis and my PT suggested I wear shoes with about a 2 inch heel. These did the trick and although I will be going to therapy for a while, I can tolerate the discomfort when I am wearing these shoes.

I was looking for the one pair for supportive comfortable shoes to wear 80% of the time. I suffer from plantar fasciitis, so I wanted really comfortable support. I also work from home 80% of the time so I don't need lots of fancy shoes. I have a pair of Clarks clogs that I wear all winter, and I wanted the summer counterpart. When I tried these Dansko sandals, I knew they were it. But my first thought was that my pair was damaged because the blue sued had these black stains. i returned the pair and order another one. Turns out the new ones also had these black stains. So, I came to the conclusion that the stains were on purpose, part of the design. They are weird, they make the blue sued look dirty. But they are soo, soo comfortable, that I decided to keep them. After all, wearing them 80% of the time, they are going to get dirty anyway. Now it will just be part of the design.

The shoes feel like a glove. I wear a size 7/5-8 and the EU 38 was perfect. They come with the 3rd notch/hole inserted into the buckle. I moved all 4 buckles to the 2nd hole and it's PERFECT (making it a little less tight. They are super cute, comfortable and I love the little lift they give my 5' 4" frame. Couldn't be happier!

These are SO cute and fun and fabulous! Just waiting for the weather to warm up again to wear them! Totally comfortable and should “break in” very easily. `

I love the Sophie sandal! I own it in many different colors. I have very difficult feet to fit that also have no fat pads on them. Therefore, I need a narrow shoe with a lot of padding underneath. This sandal meets all of those requirements! The adjustable strap is great and I’ve even poked more holes if I need to. The wedge sole has a lot of cushioning and is very stable under my feet. PLEASE BRING THEM BACK IN RED!

Beautiful shoes! They fit just right. So nice you can adjust the straps. I plan to wear them for casual as well as work as I am on my feet all day. Thank you Zappos!

I love these sandal- clogs! Super- cushy insoles, great arch support--i have high arches and high instep. I walk alot and stand for hours somedays and these are very supportive and comfortable. The straps are adjustable, not just decorative, so you can custom fit them to your feet. The "leather" is very soft and supple like suede. These and my Fit Flops will be my go- to sandals for the summer.
