I have 2 pair of Alegria Brand shoes I wear almost exclusively. A Mary Jane style and their “Karmen” Slide. (Black) My search for a solid brown sandal brought me here. I was hesitant about buying a non-Alegria shoe. I started wearing them when knee pain became a real issue. (I also have crazy wide bunions.) These were a delightful surprise. I feel they give me very good arch support for my high arches. Oddly enough, they fit right out of the box- and that IS saying something. I also wore them for most of that day and only had one hot spot by night. They had a noticeable squeak, which I suspect has something to do real leather. A good rubbing with leather conditioner helped that (and they are buttery soft now, as well.) Normally, I am a size US 8 / EU 38, but ordered a 39. Sound advice from other reviewers. Fit my wonky feet needs and comfortable out of the box. A classic style sandal- that my feet and I love right now!

Fit perfectly! Have had some heel pain issues from hiking boots and yet was able to walk quite a bit right out of the box with no pain! The styles are great- love the adjustable width on Sophie, as I have small and narrow feet- Love Danskos- and now will never wear any other brand of shoe!

I have a narrow foot, usually 2AA. The straps are adjustable. Since the actual recommended length runs a bit short, I ordered a 38. Only problem is that I could use an extra hole in the strap, but the holes are too close together to make that extra hole where I'd need it. Upshot, when choosing the tighter fit, the underneath strap below the buckle rubs the little toe. If I then loosen the toe strap, my foot slides forward too much, pushing my toes too close to the edge, as if I had purchased the 37. Have to find a solution. Otherwise, the sandals are wonderfully comfortable and nice to look at.

I am a solid 38 in Birkenstock’s and dansko but after reading the reviews I ordered the 39 and they are perfect. I wear an 8 in most shoes so I would definitely recommend sizing up on these.

This is my stand by for dress shoes. I have very narrow and problematic feet. Thank god for dansko! I would be in serious old age shoes without them. These will go nice with summer dresses. I wish they would bring back the shoe like this with lower heel for shorts etc. excellent support!

I have this shoe in multiple colors and have been wearing them since I had plantar fasciitis about 5 years ago. I need shoes with good support and these are adequate for my needs. I wear them all summer long and can walk and stand for hours. Love them!

I have plantar fascitis and was so surprised that I could just put these shoes on and head out the door without any pain or blisters on the first day.

I LOVE this shoe! I always wore Dansko when working (nurse) but, I stay at home with our children now. I still wanted the same comfort and support when running errands with the kids, I found it with this cute shoe!

These Dansko Sophie sandals are great looking, very comfortable and actually fit true to size! What more could one want? Well, I'm sorry Zappos, but I just don't like how the straps look on my feet. They are wide and my foot is small and rather dainty. I'd like them better if the straps were less wide by about 1/2 in. Going to return them, but I do highly recommend them to others.

I’m normally a 38 but due to other reviews I went up a size. Good thing I did because 39 fits perfectly. Great shoe!

I love these Dansko clogs/sandals!! They are so comfortable, I can wear them for hours! I need sandals with good arch support that are comfortable to wear all day, and these are just that, as well as being stylish! They are an excellent addition to my summer wardrobe! I will definitely be buying more.

LOVE these sandals! This is my second pair of "Sophie"s. They are so comfortable and fit so perfectly. I have a high instep and the adjustable straps easily accommodate this. The footbed is supportive and so cushiony that it keeps my feet happy all day. The leather straps don't rub me too badly although I remember at first with my first pair I had some hot spots under the toe strap after walking around all day doing a campus tour when my son was looking at colleges. Since then, I haven't had that problem and have walked all day in them with no issues. I take an 8.5-9 in shoes and the 39 fits perfectly. I have slightly wider feet than normal with bunions on both toes, and the normal width of this shoe accommodates nicely.

Great fit and great shoe for walking. Very comfortable!

My 4th purchase of this Sophie. I can always just put them on and wear them. They last forever and the only shoe that works w my tendinitis! Thank you dansko!

I've been buying Dansko clogs for years but they are getting harder to find in local stores, so I bought these online. I know my size and I've bought this style before so there was no surprise about how they look and feel.

These were cute but, like most Danskos, were heavy. A little too clunky for me.

Love these glamorous but very comfy heels for a little height without the fear. try them -- they're very well-balanced and make you feel at ease walking around two inches higher up. they're so comfortable and adjustable, you wouldn't know how comfy they are by looking at them.

This is the 4th pair of Sophie sandals I have bought over the years. My others were wearing out. They are comfortable, stylish and great for walking in them all day long.

Purchased this pair to replace a very well worn pair that have traveled far and wide with me.

I am recovering from toe surgery and my orthopedic surgeon highly recommended me wearing dansko sandals because they have a hard sole. I like these because i can adjust the width size and they are quite comfortable.

Very comfortable shoes. Love them. I had to go a size larger than I normally do in Dansko.

Consistently kind to my feet! Love that I can adjust with upper & lower buckles individually for each foot. Each one of different for me due to Morton’s neuroma, high arches, & plantar fasciitis.
