These were great, that is until the insert developed this odd propensity to bunch itself up and, with every roll of my foot through its stride, force itself out the back of the shoe. I would be walking along and eventually it would appear at my heel like a green tongue, wagging. Eventually I let them give up the ghost. PS. I meant two stars, but I couldn't apparently change it once I designated.

This shoe looks nice and is light. The innersole is a weird bumpy thing. I'm guess folks will get used to it and maybe it massages the foot etc. But that, combined with a tendency to have my heel slip out of the back of the shoe made it a no go for me. Not horrible, but not worth the cost.

Nice casual shoe, summer/good weather only. Canvas upper so no support. My shoe did not come with any 'sockless' liner that other reviewers mentioned. Sole has no cushion and zero arch support. Good to wear for a few hours at a time but that's it. They do look good though.

Bought these for a boat trip in BVI. Liked the way they looked (two of the grommets) (sp?) fell off before I left). They didn't wear well at all. They performed like they were supposed to but after a week of light wear, they look like they are old and ready for the trash. They are floppy and loose canvas so when they are off your feet they are as flat as the sole. Other people on the ship had a popular name boat shoe and I think I will get a pair of them because they looked a little sturdier and you can slide your foot in and out. Also, they fit fine but they look smaller on and seemed to be more effeminate then I would like (yes I knew they had red laces. :-)

The canvas is little scratchy for sensitive skin. I can't wear these without bandaids. The sole is comfortable.

Horribly uncomfortable -- the sole is like walking on plastic or hard rubber. No side support, and very painful.

These shoes look and feel great, but have already started to fall apart after only about 14 days of moderate use. Very disappointed.

Warning: These are not "boat shoes", in fact, when stepping around on a Catalina, they slide on the dry surface, and are actually dangerous to wear on board. I was better off bare foot. I bought these shoes under the impression they were real boat shoes. The bottom of the soles look right, but they are NOT rubber, they are some form of plastic, and thus don't grip the surface of the boat. I kept them though because they are nice on land. Comfortable and light. But if you want a boat shoe, this is not the shoe to get.

I bought these thinking that they would be good shoes to wear as causal shoes to work. First off, they were not comfortable. I had to purchase insoles to add on, just to help them be comfortable. I have had them for about three months, and they have already worn out. I enjoyed these shoes, but they have not lasted. I only would wear them a couple times a week, and they are already shot.

These shoes look great but are, possibly, the worst quality shoe I have ever owned. I have two pairs (one blue, one red) purchased last spring. Both fell apart within a couple of months. The main issue is that the sole separates from the rest of the shoe. Do not purchase if you would like to wear these without wet feet for more than 8 weeks.

These shoes have a sloppy fit and have no support what so ever. In fact my ankles rolled inward that after walking in them for only 20 minutes made my knees hurt. I tried to insert arch supports, but the fabric is too flimsy and heel to large to offer any support.
