True to the advertisement, these shoes really do help the bigger runners who run longer distances. Great cushioning in heel led to no pains in knees and definite reduction of shin pain post 6 mile run straight out of the box. Would recommend. For reference - I am 6'4 and 210 lbs.

I suffer from bilateral neuropathy and the comfort that these shoes give to me are fabulous. I have tried many other brands but they pale by comparison. Can't wait to order another pair!

Simply put, fantastic shoes. They are extremely comfortable and offer great support. I am not a runner, I walk a lot though (I am a diabetic and walk to keep my blood sugar under better control)and I have a bunch of shoes for this purpose (Brooks Trance 11, Saucony Progrid Guide 5, Asics Gel Fortitude 5) and these NB1080v2 are the best of the lot. I am thinking of buying another pair to replace my Asics that are close to being worn out.

One of the most comfortable Running shoes I have owned. Very lightweight, a lot of breathing room through the mesh. Best part is they are still made in the USA.

This is the best shoe I have ever owned. I was looking for a neutral shoe in a B width which would also accommodate orthotics. I have run some 80 miles so far and have been delighted in all ways.

Nothing beats Asics in comfort and style! These were for my 12 year old daughter. Now I'm not saying they made her the 2nd fastest in the mile sprint...but she wore them right out of the box for it and never got a single blister! Plus the colors match her all star cheer team...so what could be better!

OK shoe, not one of NB best efforts. I have had NB at a less cost that performed better.

Great cushioning, very lightweight. I upgraded from the M1080. What a great shoe. Run about 25-35 miles weekly. Great fit.

I've been wearing these 1080's for 3 years I love 'em. I weigh about 250 so I need shoes that have good cushion these do and there sturdy I walk 2 miles everyday and then I wear them all day I'll keep buying them, also Zappos service is probably the best in the business always a pleasure.

These shoes are great! Perfect fit, cushioned insole and pretty well ventilated. Like walking on air. Look really sharp also. I only buy New Balance. My feet are 4E and New Balance has a great collection for those of us with duck feet!

Recently bought a pair of these NB 1080s. They are terrific. I have a very wide (4E) foot, the toe box is quite wide enough. General fit is excellent, and the padding is top notch. I've put about 100 miles on them, and they are comfortable and wearing very well. Terrific shoe, highly recommended.

The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the illusive picture. Not just on Zappos, all over the net this model looks a bit thinner and sharper than traditional NB shoe style. In reality is looks bulky, and the color isn't that attractive (I took the grey style). But as a running shoe I love it, more than Brooks Glycerin 10 (more shock absorption). It's a good value for money, my only disappointment is its looks.

These are maybe the worst shoes I have ever run in. After running about a mile and a half I have the worst shin splints. It seems like no matter how much I try to set my foot down it slaps on the pavement. I went back to my old worn out Asics and my feet and shins feel better already.

These shoes were comfortable but they ran narrow on my foot. I ordered D widths on 4 different pairs of shoes and this was the only one where my pinky and big toe pads were hanging out. Besides the design running a little narrow, the shoe felt comfortable and was stylish.

Good sneaker. Lots of room in the right places. I use them primarily for walking and workouts but have run in them too. Definitely one of the better sneakers I've owned.

I bought these for my 14 year old son who wears trainers pretty much constantly. He loves these and they have worn extremely well for running, working out, some indoor lacrosse and daily school wear. Zappos has amazing service.

Most comfortable running shoe I've ever owned. Shoe is light but support and cushioning are solid. Exactly what I expected from a New Balance running shoe made in the US!

This is my fourth pair of these shoes. I'm diabetic and have plantar problems. These have taken care of that and are very comfortable. Also with Zappos 10 star service, how can you go wrong?

I tried so many.. Mizunos CreationEnigma, Brooks Glycerin 9 & 10, Saucony Triumph 9. These are the best. They aren't mushy like the GlycerinTriumph, but also not horribly stiff like the Mizunos. Actually, I was a loyal NB customer for long and wanted to try other brands - ended up with NB again. This V2 edition is a real progress, very cushioned and shock absorbent. Works very well with orthotics. The only downside, is that on the internet pictures they look sharp and narrow (a bit like Brooks' style). On realty, the colors are less attractive and they look a bit bulky. Anyway it's not a fashion show, I just say don't expect them to looks as good as in the pictures.

They're pricey, but the top notch quality and comfort justify it. Visited a store and tried 5 other brands in this high-end range and the NB won out. Great fit to my foot( regular and normal strike) and very cushy. Used them one month now and no issues....except soles are slippery on wet asphalt so watch that

Finally a shoe that does not hurt my legs and feet to run in. I went to a nearby NB store and had my feet accurately measured, but bought them here because I could not find a better price. Bottom line get your feet measured before buying performance shoes. There are many types of shoes and just as many different types of people. We are not all built the same. Best shoes I have ever owned, trust me I have done my experimenting.

Great product. New Balance never really fails to impress and meet my expectations. My only gripe is that there isn't quite as much support as its predecessor, the M1080. Other than that, great shoe, lightweight, and still offers a fair amount of stability.

I had been an Asics Nimbus loyalist for the past five years but went with these to save money. These shoes are okay but my next pair will once again be the Asics Nimbus.
