These shoes are very comfortable! Right out of the box. I too was offended by the smell of them so I wrote to the company. Here is their response: Dear Donna, Thank you for your email. Please refer to the Ahnu Warranty: The Ahnu warranty applies to footwear less than one year old from date of purchase. I wanted to love these, but after wearing them in the house for a time, found that the strap dug into the top of my foot too much - but only on the right. Could have just been this shoe? Still. Otherwise they were fabulous.

Very cute shoe. However, the leather of the shoe cut into my foot on the outside. I think it would be best to try this shoe on - it may just be my feet that didn't agree with the design.

Nice covered toe style. Not great for standing/working all day on concrete floors. My feet ache a bit with these. But they are nice for around town. I got them because at work I cannot wear backless or open toe shoes, but can't really wear them to work if on my feet.

I am so disappointed that I had to return these sandals. They were so comfortable and had great arch support, but unfortunately, they were way too wide. If you have narrow feet, you may want to take this into consideration when buying. If they were cheaper, I would have likely kept them, but not at this price.

These are very cute, and go with skirts & pants. I got the brown; very nice shade that will go with everything. The arch support isn't as great as I hoped, but I'll wear them anyway. The cross straps hits my arch on one foot, which was a bit uncomfortable at first, then went away.

I got these shoes on sale and had a gift certificate, so I only paid a little for them - a great steal! I really like them - they are comfortable and pair well with pants and skirts for my casual office. They would be great shoes for traveling - lightweight, stylish, and good for walking.

These shoes are SO comfortable, but I ordered in two different sizes and am keeping the smaller size.

Great shoe. As I get older its harder and harder to find comfortable shoes. AND I have a big foot. I wear a size 11. These shoes are cute and comfortable. I liked them so much I bought them in 4 different colors. It would have been nice if they had been a little cheaper. I would recommend them.

Really flattering on the foot, and nice and comfortable. A good amount of room in the toe box, which I am a fan of! I will probably get another pair in a different color!

These shoes feel so nice and light on my feet. I ordered a 1/2 size smaller as suggested in these reviews but they are too short so I'm returning them. Hopefully they have a larger size for me!

Really comfortable cute shoe. The arch support is the best I've found in a ballet flat without going to an orthopedic shoe. I wish they made the insole to match the black shoe. It would make it a bit dressier and give me more options to wear them.

I feel like I am wearing moccasins with a spring in my step when wearing these shoes. The straps compensate for any size issue -- width or length. Little break-in time. I have received several compliments on the design. I like them very much. These are my first Ahnu, and I would be willing to try others.

The other reviews aren't kidding; I take a size 9B normally. The 9 in this case is at LEAST half a size too big, possibly a full size, and very wide. Looking forward to seeing if the 8.5 is any better. Quality-wise, they look well made, and the color (lead) is darling. Hoping to find a size that actually fits!

Cute shoes! Can be dressy for the courtroom or casual for the picnic. They did rub a small blister on my pinky toe - my only complaint.

Love these shoes! They are cute enough to wear with skirts and dresses but comfy enough to walk all around the city in.

I love the look of these shoes but they pinch my little toe where the strap is. I'm trying to stretch them to be more comfortable!

I have flat feet and when it comes to shoes that are comfortable to walk in, i totally struggle. My Chaco's have a huge arch support and make the back of my knees hurt after walking in them for a bit. I have another pair of Anhu's and I love them but they are too warm for the summer. I'm pretty loyal to wearing my Reef flip flops all summer in every terrain. SO! I am so ecstatic over these shoes. They don't make my feet look wide and the foot bed is wide enough to cover the whole bottom of my foot. I wear a size 6 on the average and that's the size I ordered. They are so comfortable but I definitely have some room in the shoe so I considered exchanging for a 5 1/2. However, based upon other reviews of the hard toes, I realize that if I go a 1/2 size smaller that my toes may get pushed up into that hard tip of the toe. Hope this helps!

Finally! I have crazy hard-to-fit feet, but these are nearly perfect. I had the Karma in my favorite list for awhile, but didn't buy them until I saw someone wearing them at a street fair. Another reviewer mentioned the shoes were great for her duck feet (wide forefoot and narrow heel) and since I have the same situation, I figured I would give them a shot. I'm so glad I did. Except for a bit of rubbing on one of my little toes, the shoes are nearly perfect. They are lightweight, but incredibly supportive. Yet somehow I can still feel the ground beneath my feet. Also, I got caught in a downpour and feared the shoes would be ruined. But I simply let them dry stuffed with cloth diapers and they bounced back good as new. My only wish is for richer color choices.

Ordered size 8 (normal shoe size varies 8-8.5) based on reviews. The size was good except that my toes hit the end of the shoe. A larger size would be too big. So disappointed! These shoes were so cute in the gray color! They have good arch support and comfy foot bed. Have to send back...boo hoo! Thanks Zappos for the quick shipments and easy returns!

These are adorable and the silver sage color would go with anything. I ordered these based on the rave reviews but sadly discovered that my wide feet (with slight bunions and flat arches) hit the straps in a painful way on the instep. I wasn't sure if they'd break in enough to allow lots of walking, so I am returning these. Would definitely recommend for anyone with less temperamental feet, as they are cute and seem very well made.

Very cute shoes in a ballet slipper pink. Comfortable to wear with some support. A little white from sole protrudes in front, which I don't think adds anything, otherwise I'd have given it a 5 for style.

These are nice summer shoes for people who don't like showing their toes These are the only closed-toe shoes that I can wear without socks. I usually wear a 7.5 or 8. I went with an 8 in these shoes because, as far as I can tell, they aren't meant to fit tightly. My toes have room to wiggle and my feet can breathe, and the style of the shoe means that they have never slipped off. It took off a star because the light tan color scuffs easily and the gathering in the back is pretty obvious. Still, I think they are cute and plan on buying a pair in lead soon.

I like them, but I bought them for a walking shoe and when it was hot and I walked for a few hours at the zoo the bottom of my feet burned. I will enjoy them but not for long periods of time. Thanks.

I bought these looking for a cute summer shoe that is comfortable and light. When I first tried them on, I was sure they were heading back on the next UPS truck. They felt very loose and with little arch support. However, I decided to give them a try (cuteness factor played a big part in this) and after walking around the house for an hour in them, they seemed to mold quite nicely to my foot. I have a lot of trouble finding shoes that actually work with my poor feet...between the bunions and my hammer toe...well the search has been difficult and expensive. However, these are going to work. They are lightweight, the side openings give it the air of a sandal and, again, they are really cute. You should note that the MOOD INDIGO NAPA is a solid navy blue. I like it much better that the one with the orange trim.
