I've worn New Balance 4E width in many styles for many years. In this shoe it feels like a D width. Way too narrow. I can barely get my foot into them. It may be a fine shoe but not for wide feet.

This is no CT1004 which I bought over and over and loved. I'm very disappointed and hope New Balance will revert to old design. No webbing to attach tongue. Lower heel causes foot to step out of shoe. Expanded fabric use in toe box causes shoe to distort.

First, Zappos has been great as always in their free return policy. I had to order four different times and tried on a dozen pairs of tennis shoes before finally finding the right fit. Second, I have wide (4EEE width) and the only brand that works for me is New Balance. The MC-1005 are the only pair (and I tried them all) of tennis shoes that had enough room in he toe box area to feel comfortable. Overall these shoes have a nice fit and are very light weight due to the mesh covering. Those who like more support may want to go with more leather uppers. The only negative is that there is not much cushioning around the ball of the foot area, but I plan to replace the insoles so this should help.

I wore this shoe about 1 week and a small section of the sole on this shoe began to become unglued. I think that it can be re-glued but it is a bit of a drag. I think that the shoe is reasonably comfortable but not great. I like that the sneaker is waterproof.

Very disappointed. The width which I require is excellent but I should have tried another 1/2 size smaller than the last pair of New Balances I had. They felt fine but once I had them on the court I found my foot sliding completely out of the shoe. It could not be tied tight enough to keep my heel in place. I will try some heel pads since they can't be returned after playing in them once but will probably end putting them in the back of the closet instead.

I am so disappointed with New Balance. They were once my go to manufacturer for shoes, especially court shoes. Now that they use a narrower last and plastic instead of leather, this shoe no longer fits and is unstretchable. I don't know where I'll find my next pair of tennis shoes. :(

I learned what plantar fasciitis is from this shoe. It damaged my left foot for a year and I couldn't run without having to perform physical therapy on my foot for that year. I may have just received a bad shoe, but I've played many sports and have had many shoes and this never happened before. I'm guessing very poor arch support.
