I needed a new shoe for Jazzercise which is a high impact cardio exercise program. Based on the reviews, I decided to give the Women's Devotion Trainer a try. It has excellent traction, good fit, and looks sharp. However, in my opinion, it is not supportive enough for the frequent side to side movement that is done in Jazzercise. Rather than a trainer, it is more like a high intensity walking shoe. In fact, the side of the box states it is a walking shoe. Perhaps, this is a good shoe for someone who keeps Jazzercise low-impact or has better ankles than me.

I have had 5 pairs of Ryka Devotion shoes. They are the absolute best in comfort and great style. I have narrow heels, high arches and feet that started hurting a couple years ago out of the blue in winter so bad that I was hobbling the minute I got out of bed (most of the joints in my body do this and we have no idea why) These shoes are a godsend, especially when I stand all day at work.
However, my complaint is that the bottoms of the shoes come off. I have had both black and grey colors and both do this. After wearing them a few months, the individual bottom pieces start to come unglued. I get out the gorilla glue or crazy glue and glue them back down, then a few weeks later repeat the process. After about 6-8 months, I just rip them off. I kept one pair for work (only carpet) and one for daily wear but that didn't matter so I now rotate them.
They have all worn down so much that it's time for new shoes. I'm reluctant to buy them again, but multiple trips to many shoe stores have resulted in nothing that fits or is comfortable. I used to be an Asics fan but they have gone downhill. I've got some other 5 star recommendations in my cart, but others by their company just don't feel good at the store. Hopefully, Ryka has cleaned up their QA?

I have very narrow heels and a wider toe area, so these shoes are a perfect fit. Finally a pair of shoes that doesn't scrunch my toes and that's tight enough in the heel and arch area to hold my foot in place so my feet around sliding around in the shoes. They are very comfortable to walk in and leave me with none of my usual aches and pains. One big drawback though, is that I've only had them for about a week and have been walking around 3-4 miles a day, and the soles are already wearing down quite a lot. The lack of sturdiness in this area is quite a shame considering the comfort and rare to find fit of the shoe.

These are not a neutral shoe. I wish Ryka would make that known in the description. I'm an overpronator and these exaggerate that, rolling my feet inward even more. At first I just thought it was the lack of arch support so I added in my supports but it didn't help. The heel is also a little low for the added support. Other than that....they had the level of padding and bounce I was hoping for.

this is the first pair of rykas in 20 years that I do not like. What happened to plain old devotion?

These are super cute and when you first put them on you say "ahhhh," but just like lying on a really soft bed, that only lasts for so long and eventually you realize you need more support. For me, they were just too squishy and they also tended to slip in the heel. They were the right size so a half size down wouldn't have made sense, perhaps it's the materials. For the price and the limited use of these ones (indoor dance/aerobic/zumba), it wasn't worth it and so I returned these.

I do a lot of fitness walking and did a lot of research regarding wide width walking shoes; this shoe was on the list of those highly rated. I really liked the look of this shoe; I ordered it in the Frost Grey/Metalic. I ordered a 1/2 size up in my wide width. Unfortunately, they still didn't fit quite right-a bit small and tight. I ended up with New Balance instead and they seem to work out better for me. I'm glad that these shoes work for others, because they really are cute and I think the cushioning and support seem very good.

While they may be the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned, they are also the least durable. I bought these shoes just 3 months ago and the soles are absolutely crumbling. I admit I'm hard on shoes, I work a physically demanding job on my feet (teaching preschool) but these had no tolerance for any kind of stress. I'm still a fan of Ryka, but if you plan of wearing these more than only occasionally I would recommend looking at another style or be ready to replace them in a couple of months.

I love the look of the shoes and when I first put them on they felt OK but after walking in them for a short while my feet started to hurt. I took out the insole and place my foot on it outside of the shoe and realize that the arch support began way past the arch of my foot. I had to take the insert out in order to wear these shoes comfortably. I wish that I could return them but I already have worn them so according to policy I can't return them for another pair.

My first pair of Ryka shoes was not all that I'd hoped. My usual favs are Asics and New Balance but I really liked the colors of these so I gave them a try. I walk three brisk miles daily. The first time I wore these there was a noticeable tendency to pronate inward at the ankle. I've never had this problem with any other brand of shoe. So disappointing because they are really cute.

I bought this shoe 6+ months ago to wear for Body&Soul fitness classes which involve part high impact aerobics & part resistance training (though I usually remove my shoes for the resistance training - I hate hot feet & I'm formerly trained in ballet so I like to challenge my feet by going bare when not engaging in high impact activity). I have moderate pronation issues and wear custom orthotics. So I need something with cushioning and flexibility in the forefoot & rear-foot, but support in the mid-foot - which is turning out to rather difficult to find outside of running shoes - and a runner I am not. I wish Ryka would combine the strong midfoot stability of their n-gage design with the forefoot and rearfoot cushioning of this shoe in a slightly narrower toe box with good lateral support & breath-able mesh in the upper. These shoes are definitely super-cushiony and comfortable - but almost to a fault. Even with my orthotics, my mid-foot is all over the place in just walking activities let alone high impact aerobics. There is also no lateral support for side to side movements - when I do lateral jumps my feet slide off the soles. These shoes may be great for someone with little to no pronation issues or a supinator, but they did not provide what I needed. I will not be buying these again for me. I usually wear a 6.5 with average width in workout/walking/hiking shoes. These fit fine length wise but I found them to be too wide in the forefoot.

I wanted a shoe that was comfortable for aerobics on a carpet and gave my feet good support while exercising. This shoe has good support, it feels springy and well cushioned. I kept the shoes even though the heel slips a little. I tried a larger size first, sent for a smaller size, same issue. I can't go to an even smaller size because of the instep and short laces. I'm satisfied with the performance, but I wouldn't choose this shoe the next time because of the strange fit.

New brand for me - I purchased these based on reviews. They definitely put a bounce in my step. I use them mostly for gym treadmill and walking. I ordered 1/2 size larger to accommodate foot width. These shoes do nothing to mitigate pronation - perhaps too flexible in construction for my needs. I think they'll ventilate well in hot weather.

I wanted to love this shoe like I've loved most of my Rykas - they fit great, awesome cushioning under the ball of the foot, and they're super lightweight. However, in my opinion there's next to no lateral support - the mesh on the sides of the shoe is very flexible which causes my foot to slide around inside the shoes when doing workouts with a lot of side to side movements. I'll keep them for just walking around or for cycling, but for serious workouts I'm going back to my Intent XT's.

I have only been using these shoes for working out. The seam on the sole is already tearing off, and I have only had them for a couple of months. I would not recommend these for someone looking for quality workmanship.

I love this shoe. It is super comfy. I did order a half size larger (suggested by a user)and they fit my foot perfectly. I like the cushion of the foot bed. Only thing that I was disappointed in was the sole of the shoe fell apart. The triangles were coming off the bottom of the shoe (after only 2 months of wear) and I shoe goo'd them back on. Maybe Ryka should have used shoe goo originally to build the sole. Can I get an exchange? Don't know yet.

I wear Ryka and have worn them for years. But, I can't wear these because they are too spongy. I love a shoe that is cushioned but firm. These are soft and spongy to the point where my balance is compromised when I wear them. So unfortunately, I can't wear them.

I measured my feet being careful to order the right size and tried wearing them a few times before I gave up. My measurements showed I needed a medium width, but it felt too tight and the length showed to be 9.5 but my toes touched the ends of the shoe. I tried loosening the laces, using a different insole and they are just not at all comfortable. They feel harder than the Revolution 4 pair I purchased in a store over a year ago and are nowhere near what I thought they would be. I've tried wearing them several times walking and I have given up. Unfortunately I wasted my money because since they are worn, I cannot return them. I will never order shoes online again.

The construction of the shoe is not up to the standards I expected. There is a gap on one side that makes it uncomfortable to wear .

I've been enjoying Rykas shoes for a couple of years now. Absolutely love that they have wide options available and in so many pretty colors for their shoes! This one just isn't it though. This shoe is very small. I had to keep checking to make sure they actually are wides because it's so cramped in the toe box. There are is a sort of bump in the bottom of the shoe in the midfoot area from the cushioning. I think it's supposed to support better or something but it is more agitating than anything.
This is only time I've ever had to return a pair for not being wide enough so if you need wide like me don't despair and just check out other options.

My proper size, one shoe too short. There seems to be inconsistency in sizing for this company in general, fix this and I will buy more.

They look great, but, did not give enough arch support for me. Also, my foot kept sliding forward, even though I tightened the laces, which caused my toes to become pinched. I'm disappointed
