Very nice design! Beautiful looking shoe, designed for outdoor versatility. I was looking for a rugged, outdoor sandal/shoe. Of all the athletic designed sandal/shoes on Zappos at the time, the Adidas Outdoor Hydroterra Shandal appeared to have the most promise. I ordered ten various manufacturer sandals/shoes altogether, including Hydroterra in most available colors. Hydroterras looked as good in person as they did online. I ordered sizes 9.5 and 10 hoping to find a fit. Unfortunately, as with most Adidas medium width shoes, these were far too narrow. After wearing both 9.5 and 10 around the house for 15 minutes, my feet started feeling numb. I wish shoe companies (especially European) would learn, shoes that are too wide get laced tighter; shoes are are too narrow get returned. I really wanted the Hydroterra Shandal to work out.

These are true to fit. That is tough for water shoes. I used these shoes for a kayaking trip in the Matlacha area. On a previous trip the oyster bars had really sliced up my other water shoes so I was looking to try something a bit more durable. These soles are tough enough to withstand the sharp edges, rigid enough that I cannot feel any pain when stepping on a sharp point, and provide good toe protection. I also hiked several miles around the trails and beaches of Cayo Costa wearing thin Smartwool socks with these shoes and found the shoes very comfortable with good arch support. After three days of living in these shoes they cleaned up easily and still look new.

Great looking shoe...I would have kept them except for the fact that were way too narrow, and I don't have a wider than average foot. It felt like the sides of my foot were overflowing off the inner sole.

Bought these as a Christmas gift for husband who needs aquatic shoes that he could hike in. He is very pleased. Would definitely recommend them. Good grip and dry fast.

I got these for aquatic aerobics and I really like them. They dry quickly and are very light weight. The heel is a little weird, but it works to help put on the shoes without loosening the laces. My only quibble is that there are no drain holes in the soles like my previous pair of Adidas water shoes. I'm not sure what a shandal is, but on the whole these work just fine. Run true to size.

Awesome shoes! These shandals have the look of a shoe and the features needed to be completely soaked, muddied, whatever and then cleaned, dried, and ready to go again. These are great for both everyday use and for the wet conditions.

I really wanted to like this shoe. I loved the look of it. Unfortunately, the straps around the heel flap chafed against my shins, and I don't think it would have been comfortable over the long-haul. I ended up opting instead for the far less attractive, but much more comfortable, Keen H2 for my amphibious shoe need.

Lacing system broke after one year of use and, due to the design, the lace cord cannot be replaced. In the garbage can. But I liked them so, I will buy another pair.

Decent wet/dry sneaker. The tread is pretty aggressive and the show itself is pretty stiff. I think it will break in with use. The top of the shoe is mesh with a soft plastic skeleton, so it's very light and very airy. The heel is attached by elastic, so you shouldn't need to mess with the laces, but it does make slipping in and out a little complicated. Certainly look sharp, they have a lot of arch support, but I wouldn't expect to wear them daily - they'll be perfect for water and mud-sports.

Pros: excellent grip in wet or dry. Despite it's lightweight open mesh design, provides excellent protection from the elements. Look awesome. Cons: despite the description, you better wear socks with these, at least until you've broke them in for a month. Lots of rough edges on the inside mean lots of calluses and blisters. As stated before, the decision not to include water drainage holes is baffling; I ended up having to drill a few myself with a 1/16 inch drill bit. The heel is very uncomfortable in "sandal" mode. Gets the job done but feels like just a little more attention to detail would have made a huge difference. Definitely not worth paying almost a hundred dollars for after tax and shipping.

This shoe has one fatal flaw: Far too narrow in the middle of the shoe. I have regular width feet and they bulged out and pressed down tightly against the mesh sides at the middle of the shoe. Unwearable and returned. Love the style of the shoe and disappointed that Adidas couldn't figure out the width.

After two months of use the lacing system broke, and the way these shoes are built, they can't be replaced. Shoes are garbage now. Hundred dollars for 2 months of an uncomfortable shoe. Won't be buying adidas ever again.
