Great boot! Incredibly comfortable - could wear all day, which I plan to. I was looking for an everyday boot that wouldn't be a problem when running after a little one, and this is it. It's got some attitude which I like and goes with anything. Not a huge fan the "brushed" toe, but the style and comfort overrule. I've never had such a comfortable boot. Definite keeper. True to size too.

Ordered the Carson lug...which I loved but they were tight around my calf...so I returned them for this boot. Yippee, they fit perfect. The shaft is low enough and roomy. Zappos is amazing with their customer service. I would rather buy here with no tax or shipping charges, than drive to a mall wasting gas and paying taxes. Zappos rocks it!

These are wonderful boots - true to size, well made, comfortable, and gorgeous. I really never thought I'd wear cowboy boots, but I haven't worn anything else since I got these. My style is pretty bohemian so they go surprisingly well with almost everything in my closet. I love them. The fit is very spot-on - I'm a 10.5 and I ordered the 11. They are just a tiny bit loose in the heel but I certainly couldn't go down a full size. A 10.5 would fit perfectly, if they had one! They seem to be sold out everywhere, but if you can find them, buy whatever size you normally wear. The leather was very crackly and dry when they arrived (due to the treatment they give them to make them look worn) but I softened them up with some conditioner and waterproofing. That also made the leather a little darker but they are the perfect color for me now. They're very soft and, while they were a little tight in the toe to start, they've stretched very comfortably in just a couple days. The sole is slick when they are new, but after walking on pavement for a bit, they're much better. Their heel has great traction. I don't even slip on ice. I wouldn't walk through snow drifts, but I've worn them in some sloppy, slushy new England weather and they do just fine. I looked long and hard for new boots and I'm very, very happy with these. I highly recommend them, if you can find them.

Quality! Quality leather, construction and great style, and comfortable. Good heel height to all day wear. Will only get better with age.

Right out of the box beauty & comfort, Frye boots never fail. After reading a few other reviews I feel compelled to share advice to anyone who needs to "stretch" to fit slightly larger...wet them & wear them! They will dry conforming to the wearer. Worked for Frye in the '70s, this is how boots are "customized!"

LOVE love love these boots. I looked at them online for a week. I ordered them and only wore them in the house for a few days...hoping I would hate them and could send them back. Nope. Love them! Like slippers. I have wide feet and they are super comfy.

Wow, what a beautiful boot. I'm 57 years old and have some crazy over the top Old Gringo cowboy boots for when I feel a bit colorful. Well, I wanted a nice calm brown boot to wear with denim dresses and skinny jeans and even leggings. These boots ticked every box!1 From right out of the box, they are so elegant. I wanted a little style, not something completely non descriptor, so I opted for this style. I felt the top[ of the boot was more flattering rather than a straight across top like some of the other Frye boots. Also wanted mid calf so I felt I could wear them year round rather than having half a leg in boot, and the other half in jeans or whatever. I also wanted a nice solid durable leather sole and boot that makes that rich sound walking on a hard surface. Sounds like quality!! I vacillated between the black and brown, as I'm picky about wearing black boots year round. Well, I chose the dark brown. It's super dark, to where I wouldn't have any problem wearing it with black outfits. Still, though, a rich dark brown for denim of every shade. I can't stress enough how these boots are the perfect pull on and go with ANYTHING you want to wear. As with all Frye, they will only get better with age and forming to my foot. The best part about these boots is I was able to get them on and off relatively easily. Not always the case with most pull on boots. I'm starting out with some really thin nylon socks ( like men's dress socks) and I'm sure I will move to a little thicker sock as I wear them more. My Paige Trapunto short boots are an 8. I went with an 8 1/2 for these, just to make sure they will be more user friendly getting them on and off. Oh, and I've had extensive foot surgery (plates in my arch) and these boots don't bother that area at all. Amazing for a pull on style. Considered getting a boot with a back zipper but took a chance on these as I prefer the cleaner style, with out a zipper changing the boot lines. This style is the perfect blend of the slightest cowboy touch in the shape of the top of the boot and harness and a riding boot in the non-cowboy flat heel. There versatility of this boot makes it hard to buy more boots. Except maybe a Melissa button shortie.

Love these boots! I wore them all day right out of the box with no discomfort at all. I wear a size 7 pump, and bought the 7 1/2. Perfect with thin to medium weight wool socks or tights. These boots look great with everything! Worth the investment.

I am surprised that these boots have so few reviews, as they are a great addition to my Frye collection. I have them in both black and dark brown, and they go with everything. They fit true to size. The shaft height is perfect for wearing over both leggings and straight jeans with no bunching of the pant leg. They are so easy to put on and take off. The heel is a perfect 1" for all-day running around. They are very slimming on the leg, and what I most the very like is the sleek and elegant toe. If I could change anything, I would give it a lug sole so that I could run around in them forever without having to get them resoled. The fit is true to size for my 8.5 M foot in medium socks. Minimal heel slippage.

Love these boots! I own 2 pairs. Cant go wrong with Frye! This style runs true to size. I wear an 8 and they fit perfect.

Best boots ever! Fryers are so awesome. Fit is so comfortable. Love the distressed leather. Very stylish. Every time I wear these whether work or fun I get lots of compliments.

I love my boots and Zappos' service. The boots are beautiful, fit great and look nice with a skirt or leggings. Zappos' service is top-notch. I waited until the boots were on sale and saved $98.00. This was right around Christmas so I expected a delay in arrival but I had my boots within two days of my order, which was on a Sunday! Thanks Frye and Zappos!

These boots are gorgeous! Hard to believe that I waited so long to buy another pair of Frye boots. The quality and craftsmanship cannot be matched. They are a bit loose in the heel with thin socks but ok with thicker ones. I'm ready to order my next pair!

I got these boots for Christmas (I asked for them) and I absolutely love them. I have a tough history with boots. I have bought about seven pairs of designer brand boots in my life and they never quite do it and have been returned, sold or gather dust in the back of my closet. These will get years and years of constant use. I wore them for six hours the first day I got them. Typically I have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable enough for me to wear all day and rarely can they be described as stylish and cute. I know they will continue to break in the longer I have them. These are a great style, gorgeous leather and you know you are getting the quality craftsmanship from Frye. Cute, sexy, stylish and fun. The Sand Distressed ones are definitely for those who like a rustic look. I have already spilled something on them a couple of times and it just blends in with the look. Highly highly recommend. And if you can get them on this sale making them even better. As for sizing. I have one foot that is a 7½ and another that is an 8 and a bit wider, so I was nervous about sizing. I ended up with a 7½ and it fits perfectly, on both feet. So if you are in between sizes, I say order half a size down. If you are a perfect size, I think it probably depends on a few factors such as the particular boots you get, if you have wide feet, the shape of your arch, etc.

After going back and forth between which color to order I choose the light grey and couldn't be happier!! This is a distressed brown/grey which is beautiful and goes with everything! I absolutely LOVE these boots!! No breaking in period, comfortable right out of the box. I was worried about the fit but ordered my normal shoe size of 7 and the 7 Wyatt Harness was perfect. The quality of Frye boots is outstanding...you will not be disappointing, worth every penny! Besides...I have a Basset Hound named Wyatt and just HAD to get these! And Zappos services is the best!!=

Love, love, love! They arrived today as the shipping was super fast. I immediately put them on and they will need very little breaking in. I am thrilled with the height on my calf as I have several pairs of high boots. I needed something lower to wear with skirts and leggings. The distressed look is perfect and I do not feel like I have to "baby" them. I wear an 8 1/2 in Frye Oxfords as they tend to run large. These boots are true to size.

I absolutely love these boots. They are so comfortable. I am keeping them. The circumference is plenty wide even for muscular calfs.

These are the only Frye boots that fit my larger, muscular calves and leave enough room to make them look like they should. I love these boots! There is not a ton of support in the boot but because of the great genuine leather, these boots will definitely form in all the right places. The style is definitely a general "cowboy" boot look but it can be worn with various styles. It's the perfect height between a tall and a short boot. The cognac color is beautiful and the leather is perfect. Great boot overall!

I am very happy with the style and fit of this boot (a true 8.5). The color of the "light gray distressed" is a beautiful brown-gray. My heel does not slip the way it does in other Frye boots, and I can walk comfortably in these without the heavy "stomp" feel of some western boots. They are "just western enough" for this New Englander. I plan to order in another color as well.

I wear a size 6 and have a 15 inch calf that is long and low from aerobics and running for years. I worry when I try to buy boots. Small foot wide calf. While these are not tall in the shaft (so there is less worry about calf circumference) I am still a skeptic when I am trying to find a boot that fits. I bought these in the dark brown. Frye did not disappoint. I absolutely love them. I put them on a few days after purchase with the intention of wearing them for a few hours of walking during pumpkin picking with the kids. I took another pair of shoes just in case they hurt while we were out. NOPE. They were comfortable like a pair you've been wearing for years. First wear was for about 6 hours and they were wonderful. I absolutely without a doubt LOVE them and I am going to wear them as often as I can. Sadly I bought another pair of Frye right after these and couldn't get the right boot on. It was as if I got two different boots one was a 6 the other maybe a 5? So those have to go back and I am back searching for more beautiful Frye boots. I love Frye. They are (to me) the most gorgeous boots ever. Now I am hoping Zappos return policy is as awesome as they and all the customers claim....but for these Wyatt Harness. I am keeping them! I wish I had them in every color... and you never know, I just might :) I would also like to add that if you ever need to call the customer service number let me tell you without a doubt these folks are all about the customer service. An actual person will answer the phone and help you in all possible ways. They are kind and polite and just amazing. Very hard to find this kind of customer service today. I own a small business and give this kind of customer service daily but I don't find it elsewhere....until I called Zappos! Way to go Zappos! 5 stars to the people who answer the phones! If more business' would treat their customers this way they would be on top of their game. Being treated like this will keep me shopping here for years!

I am going into my third winter with these boots (I live in Arizona, so I only wear boots in the winter) and these bots are, hands down, my favorite boots ever! They are so comfortable and fun and go with so many things in my closet. I wear them with skinny jeans, leggings, shorts, skirts and even a few dresses. The only thing can't wear them with is boot leg cut jeans as they are too wide around the calves. They are amazing quality as well and so easy to get on and off. I debated spending so much for boots, but knew that Frye was a great brand... and I was not let down. As a result, I now own three pairs of Frye boots all of which will likely last me forever... but these cuties are the best!

Beautiful boot but just not exactly what I was looking for. The shaft is very wide and soft, so that it doesn't stand straight up...is bunching and will continue to get worse I'm sure due to the soft leather.

I love the look of these boots, but am still trying to decide if I will keep them. I am trying to break them in at home but they are just not comfortable. My heel slips with every step and with thicker socks it is just too tight around the foot area. I have just worn them short periods at a time and have to take them off.

Great boots but I am having a hard time finding the right size. I am a solid 9. I ordered the 9 and they were huge. I ordered the 8.5 and I can't tell if they are too tight or not. Still working on it. Otherwise, I am thrilled. The low heel is nice. The boot shaft does stand up just fine and I don't expect that it will get slouchy like a my Vera Slouches do. The leather is rough and perfectly worn looking. All in all, another great boot from Frye.
