This is cute - just not for me. I'm generally a size 6 or 8, and based on the reviews I ordered a M for length. This barely covered my butt, and even with a slip on it looked pretty scandalous on me. The other complaint I have is that it's so light and airy that the under-slip was showing through the arm holes on the top, the straps on the back, etc. There was just no hiding that. Unfortunately this had to go back.

Super cute dress but very short; the sides are your saving grace. Probably better worn with leggings or as a top Bought the Free people slip to go under it and was constantly tugging at it to make sure my goodies weren't showing. I'm 5'5'' and bought the large (just had baby #2) and it was very roomy a medium probably would be fit slightly better, but I couldn't afford to lose any length at that point. I'll definitely wear it as a top this summer, just not as a dress again.

Beautiful little slip. Comfortable, soft fabric. I knocked off a star because I find it pricey for what could be questionable quality (it seems VERY frail - could snag and rip easily). I'm 5'8"/119lbs and got XS. It's very short, so I wear little booty shorts underneath. The lace panels (even in the darker colours (I got the navy blue)) make it see see-through around the bum area, so a slip/shorts would be needed in order to wear this as a "dress". The longer side hem is actually quite flattering. Overall, happy. :)

I was hesitant to pay this much for this slip but it's so crazy comfortable and easy to wear that I had to keep it. It's lightweight and great for hot weather. It's incredibly versatile -- you can wear it over shorts, leggings, jeans, a longer skirt / slip. I'm 5'4 and it's too short for me to wear as a dress without something underneath. You can also layer over it, so it's super easy to wear. I have a 38 inch chest (36 C bra) and 29 / 30 inch waist, and I got white in size SM. I tried on the XS in a store and I liked how it fit better in the body but it was too tight across the chest. The body of this slip is wide and flowy from the chest down and there's quite a bit of extra material on the sides of the body. I would prefer it to be cut a little more narrow but it's so freaking comfortable that I can live with it. The flowy-ness of it is fun -- makes you want to twirl around. It is pretty sheer but that doesn't bother me. I wear a white tank top style bra with it and it works great. Will likely buy another especially if it goes on sale.

cute but too see through, unless you plan to use as a bathing suit coverup. the lace parts are completely see though so people can see your tush and undies.

I thought this was pretty oddly shaped and unflattering. It's a baby doll dress with a lot of fabric, which is not a good look on most people. I'm petite, so maybe it would be better on someone tall or more full figured. It is also way too short to be a dress for most people, without layering over another dress or leggings.I was much happier with the other Free People dress I ordered. I returned this one.

At first, I loved this dress but as time went on, and after more washes, the dress seemed to be not worth the money. I only hand wash it, and there are already small rips around the lace parts (after only like 4-5 washes). The fabric is gorgeous but very thin, and looks like it is made of better quality in the pictures than it is in real life.

I should have listened to some of the reviews. I returned the shirt. The material was so thin I'd be afraid to wash it. Not the quality of the trapeze slip shirt I have bought from Free People in the past.

This was so disappointing. First, the dress is not lined. The model is wearing something underneath. Also, if you want to wear it as a dress, I'm not even sure what kind of slip you could wear since it's so short. Second, the medium was tight on my chest. I'm a 34D. The rest of the dress is super cute. I was thinking of trying it as a cover up. But the material is not absorbent so I don't think that would work. I returned it. Really disappointing...

I am 5'7", size 6. This looked like a wide lampshade on me. Very weird fit that wasn't not flattering at all.

It was shear and too short. I'm 5'7" and if I didn't have shorts on you'd see everything. I returned it because it was an awkward length between a shirt and a dress.

I can see that this could be a great dress if you're very thin, but I agree with the reviewer who ordered a large -- it's just not flattering for someone with curves. It looks like a maternity dress and is shapeless, at least at that size.

I love the idea of this cute shirt, but it's just too wide to be complimentary. It looks cute in the picture -- very funky and hippie-ish, but it's wide enough for 2 people.

The dress ran large. Two reasons for the return. 1. The fabric is see through so you have to wear something under it. 2. From the side makes you look like your pregnant.
