These are a replacement for a similar pair which have worn out. A classy look, and a comfortable fit. Great shoes.

Excellent comfort and looks. I have this shoe in both black and brown. I like the black best. Hope they keep making it in this black leather.

I received these shoes today. Thanks Zappos for you excellent service! These boat shoes are the lightest I have ever felt, the construction is high quality all the way to the shine of the leather, and the extreme comfort, of the way this boat shoe, just molded itself, right to my foot, right out of the box. I think, I will get a 2nd pair in a different color.

I have owned about 20 different pairs of boat shoes and these are by far the best. Sperry Gold Cup is truly the "gold" standard in boat shoes. The leather is soft but looks terrific, even after months of use. The support is great, not only for a boat shoe but for any shoe. For the mileage you will get out of these, they are well worth the price. I would highly recommend these Sperry Gold Cups.

I was very hesitant to buy this pair because of the price, but this pair of Sperrys definitely surprised me. Good for casual and semi-formal outfits.

I could not be more happy with my first experience with Zappos! I shopped fro days looking for just the right shoe, and the multiple views of each enormously assisted me in choosing exactly what I wanted! So when I received the shoes I purchased, my expectations were met with exactly what was described on the Zappos Website!! I love the shoes as they are comfortable, well constructed, and just the conservative look I was looking for! I will be back at Zappos for any future shoe purchase and perhaps other items when I get a chance to shop around the site!

Great product. Expensive but worth every penny. Insole is incredibly soft. Already owned a brown pair. Sperry makes quality products. Sperry do tend to run about a 1/2 size larger. Zappos is the best. Ordered around 930pm and got it the next afternoon. No way can you beat that type of service.

I have been wearing gold cup Sherry's for 40+ years and love the overall quality and glove like fit. The only issue I have had is the inability to get replacement liners. It limits the life of the shoe to the life of the liner which is about one year for me with heavy use. Sperry used to sell replacement soles and insoles. I understand they just want to sell new shoes but it is annoying.

It's February and I live in Upstate New York, so these shoes have not touch the ground yet. Out of the box they feel amazing. The lamb skin and insole are very soft and comfortable. I was going to break them in by wearing around the house but it's not necessary so they are back in the box until Spring. Only thing stopping me from rating 5 Stars is they are slightly large for a 11.5 D and I'm concerned they will continue to stretch after regular wear. These are only my 2nd pair of boat shoes ever so I ordered the same size I wear in sneakers and boots. I also have not seen a review that talks about how they hold up if they get wet.

This shoe will keep its shape and last longer then the typical boat shoe. We were very confused when it came with open laces since every picture looked like it was more like a slip on. I called the company and they linked me to a video but that is not what helped me. I found a video that should how to know and then tuck the lace inside the shoe pocket. They also sent me a needle. I am not going to cut the laces yet because they will stretch. The shoes fit perfectly now but we are sure they will stretch.

This is a nice shoe, but only if you have a medium width foot. I have slightly wider than medium and these shoes were too tight. Also the scree guard around the edges rode up on my ankle and would probably have caused a blister on the bottom of my ankle if I had kept them. On the positive side, the deer skin lining is wonderful and I wish these were available in wide sizes.

These ride higher on the ankle than the Sperry Gold Cup A/O (Authentic Original) 2-eye, which are my all-time favorites. On me, these w/ASV shoes ride high enough that my ankle bones hurt after walking 1/2 mile in them. I thought I'd get used to them, but not to be. I'm going back to the Gold Cup A/O 2-eye. Too bad they no longer have them in Black/Amaretto.

Great shoe other than the chunk of metal in the sole. Makes no sense for a a boat shoe.

First, let me say that I have worn Topsiders for over 40 years. I am a licensed Captain and spend a lot of time on and around boats and the water. I have always trusted their quality and have worn Topsiders sailing the Great Lakes, Caribbean, South Pacific and the North Atlantic. They have always been the shoe I packed whenever I did a sail passage. About a year ago I got a pair of Sperry Gold Cup shoes. I was attracted by the padded tongue and the leather lining. They looked like a high quality shoe. While they are very comfortable, the construction leaves a lot to be desired. After wearing them for six months the soles began to separate from the uppers. That was because the soles aren't sewn, but glued on. No problem, I repaired them with a polyurethane adhesive. Today, I had to spend several hours working out in the sun on an asphalt parking lot. After an hour or so I noticed my shoes felt strange, and looking down saw that the outer soles were falling off the shoes, the heat had softened the adhesive that held the outer soles to the shoe. By the time the afternoon was over, the shoes had fallen completely apart. This is the kind of cheap construction I expect from "athletic shoes" made in China, but not from an old respected brand like Sperry. To think that these are supposed to be a premium product line. Sad.

I have had 3 pair of these shoes. Right out of the box they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. The uppers shed water so morning dew on the grass doesn't leave you with a stained, dark toe all day at the office. The soft, leather lining makes them a dream both with and without socks. Dress them up or dress them down - perfect. Unfortunately, all 3 pair developed the same problem. The sole separates from the rest of the shoe at the back part of the heel. This happened with my first pair in about a month. I returned them for a replacement but when those reached about the 1/3 to 1/2 life used up stage, same thing happened. Normally that would be a last straw for me but they are so darned comfortable (and I have a huge problem finding comfortable shoes that work for my feet) I bought a 3rd pair. 6 months in and same thing. Reluctlantly moving on to something that in all liklihood will not be as kind to my feet. ps - tried having a local shoe repair reglue the soles but they must be made of shoe glue kryptonite becasue even the shoe repair guy gave up. Every other part of the show is absolute top quality. If you ever figure out the sole thing I'll buy 6 pair at once!

The first pair of gold cup 2-eye boat shoes were one of the most comfortable shoes from day 1 that i've ever had. After wearing out, I've just rece;ived the second pair of the exact same shoe and they are probably the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever had. The leather is extremely stiff and the sides of the shoes dig into my ankles and hurt enough to make it difficult to walk in them. Will not be buying a third pair

The shoe is beautiful, but the insole is garbage, the red foam starts to crumble on the first wear and they compress so much the interior of the shoe feels way too big. Unfortunately I wore them outside.

The quality of these shoes compared to my previous shoes is terrible, Glue spots under the insoles, insoles paper thin with cheap leather on top. infidelity not worth the cost.

I have worn this shoe for years and always loved the comfort and feel. Then I bought this pair. What a disappointment. The leather is stiff and rough and I can hardly get them on without either unlacing the shoe or using a shoe horn. Who ever had to use a shoe horn on a pair of boat shoes? The inserts come out completely every time I taken the shoes off whether I'm barefooted or wearing socks. I've never had a pair do this and it is very frustrating. I checked my old Gold Boat shoes and they were made in Indonesia. This latest pair is made in Vietnam. I don't know what they have done but this is NOT the shoe I have known and worn for years. This will be my last pair from Sperry and I will be changing brands.
