I HAVE BEEN WEARING ANOTHER BRAND OF BOAT SHOES FOR MANY YEARS. IT APPEARS THAT THE QUALITY CONTROLS AT THAT COMPANY HAVE DECLINED SO I THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE THESE A TRY. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY AND THE COMFORT OF THESE SHOES. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE WHO WANTS A TOP QUALITY BOAT SHOE. IN ADDITION, MY WIFE THINKS I LOOK GREAT IN THESE SHOES.

I've been working in and around boats for the past 40 years and without a doubt, the Gold Cup ASV 2-Eye Boat Shoe, is the most comfortable boat shoe I've ever worn. It provides great support and traction. It provides great confidence when you have to perform challenging on-board tasks in rough seas when the decks are awash. Sperry earns a BRAVO ZULU on this shoe.

This is my second pair. They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I still wear the first pair as casual wear. The new ones are for dressier wear.

This shoe is as great of a shoe as it looks. It is very stylish, the leather is soft, broken in, and ready for use out of the box. The Deer skin lining is incerdibly comfortable, all I can say is wow. The gold plated aesthetics is also a nice addition. I see no problems with the manufacturing of this shoe, i own a fishing boat service in Florida, which the weather can go from very sunny to windy and rainy out on the water, so far the shoes have endured the Florida weather and life on the boat without any issue. I highly recommend this shoe to anyone, regardless of the purpose, you can't beat the comfort and stylish look of this shoe.

My husband was turned on to Sperry Topsiders 40 years ago by fellow sailors on Chesapeake Bay Log Sailing Canoes, which race competitively here on Maryland's Eastern Shore. He learned that other boat shoes did not come close to the comfort and sure-footing of Sperry's. With the introduction of the Gold Cup Series, his allegiance to this shoe was cemented for life. He wear these shoes for work (farming), for relaxing, and even for church!

Very well designed, very well manufactured pair of shoes. Excellent packaging. Extremely comfortable immediately out of the box. I would highly recommend these shoes.

Not only is this shoe great looking, but it is extremely comfortable to ware. It didn't even need to be broken in. It fit just fine true to size. This is the best boat shoe I have worn.

As a live aboard sailor who is very active in the Texas Gulf Coast boating community, I've found the perfect mix of comfort, functionality, and style with my Gold Cups. This was the first pair of shoes I've owned that didn't need the dreaded 'break in' period. The Memory Foam insoles feel amazing. I've never been complimented on my shoes at the club, until these!

The Gold Cup boat shoe is the best on the market. Unsurpassed quality of leather and construction, and best support and comfort! It is my husband and teenage son's favorite shoe! Highly recommend!

Shoes were well described on line and comfortable on first wearing. I have a wide foot and unlike many other shoes, the wide fit was correct and actually a wide width. Overall quality excellent.

Very comfortable and fits well. At first concerned about the price. The shoe fits very well. Is very well made. Black leather is holding up well during the short period I have owned the shoes. No scratches or blemishes noted. One of the best shoes I have ever bought. For a boat shoe that is comfortable and well made as a much more expensive dress shoe; I highly recommend.

This is my 2nd Gold Cup Boat Shoe, but different color. I am still wearing my first pair after 5 yrs. Only problem was laces had to be replaced. The new ones have the ASV sole and are even more comfortable. I wear Sperrys almost exclusively, and have just bought the Gold Cup dress loafer with the ASV sole.

I purchased these shoes for my husband for Christmas. He had a very old pair of Topsiders and tried to replace them several times - never finding the old Topsider comfort and quality. His friend told him that the Gold Cup style is the only true old fashioned Topsider style left. He loves the shoes. They are high quiality and comfortable. Please do not discontinue this style.

The right shoe is not fitting as well as the left shoe and it appears that he's shoe is stitched in a way that allows the inside to open to a slight degree from the foot

if these are the same gold 2 eyelet with the comfy insoles than these are the third pair. I tried to go back the the original and could not do it. They we not comfortable at all. I am too old to "break-in" a new pair of shoes and these are good out of the box.

The insole on this shoe is different from my other Gold Cup boat shoes. It curls up easily and I have to reshape it each time I take the shoes off. Otherwise, great shoes.

I bought these for my son and he saids they run a little narrow and tight.

I own 4 pair. Please, please bring back the cognac color.

Of all of the varieties of Sperry Topsiders I have worn over the years, these are by leaps and bounds the most comfortable! The soft, smooth interior leather lining is unbeatable. As with most Sperrys, the size is slightly tight -- I always order a half size larger than my other shoes; of course, I also add a padded liner under the leather footbed. The one caveat I have -- with all Sperrys with the metal lace eyelets -- the leather laces eventually snap from rubbing thin on the metal eyelets ... and relacing them is a pain in the rear, even with the relacing kit. I have started relacing them with braided cloth boot laces.

The laces are having trouble staying tied. They may be too thick. Other than that I love the shoes!
