Thanks Ruth! Because of her feedback, I ordered a 39 instead of a 38 and fit perfectly! I've been looking for a boot just like this one with a higher heel. But decided to keep these as they are the first pair (out of 4 tries) that are mid calf which means I can zip to the top. They are beautiful boots, good color, and style... will probably order them in another color as well. If you're new to Zappos, you've come to the right place… the BEST customer service I've received in 20+ years!

I ordered the black suede and am very happy with my purchase. Please do order 1 size up. I ordered the 39 (size 9) and I wear a 7.5 to 8 normally. The 39 (9) fit perfectly. The boot height is about 3 inches below knee level (I'm 5'7") and has a perfect slouch to it. Very comfortable too! Thanks Zappos because I got these ones on sale!

These boots are beautiful! I got them in Black 3 (suede) and love the elegant almond-shaped toe. Yes, they run small, but thanks to the previous reviews, I ordered a 40 instead of my usual 39 and they fit perfectly! I love the fact that they have a zipper for easy-on/easy-off and the top even fits around my calves with some room to spare. There were a few small rough patches on the suede when I got them, but they weren't bad enough to warrant an exchange. In fact, once I sprayed them with Ugg protectant and used a suede brush, they were less noticeable. I love Zappos and recommend the website to all of my friends for shoe/accessory shopping!

I'm so glad I saw your reviews on the size. You're right that they run a bit small. I am normally a size US 9, and if things run small I get a 9.5, but since these didn't come in half sizes I gambled on the size 10, and they fit perfectly. I love the dark brown color of these boots, and functionally this boot is perfect: The full zipper on the inside makes it very easy to put on an off (and ensures that there's a nice fit around the ankle and no cankle affect! lol). They look great and once I tried them on I could tell they matched my expectations from all the great pictures and video Zappos provided. I recommend this boot!

The perfect boot...if it only fit! Often find a medium width too wide for my foot. Wear a 9.5 and the 10 in this style was a real pincher with very thin socks. This is the largest size in this boot.

Great boots! Runs true to size, but I don't think I could wear them with thick socks (however, they're very warm, so this shouldn't be a problem.) They're super comfortable, unless you're walking very, very long distances.

A beautiful boot. I really like it but it runs small. Unfortunately I have to return it and order my size from Aldo. I would suggest ordering 1 size up from your true size.

I love the shape, height, and quality of these boots. I have a hard time finding boots that fit me because boots are often too tight in the ankle/calf area. That said, these boots are snug--if the boot is pulled all the way up, they are very tight around my calves. However, these boots have some leeway and fit over skinny jeans if I slouch the boot down a bit. I'm hoping they stretch out because everything else about them is perfect. They fit true to size. I usually wear a 6.5-7 and I ordered the size 7. I have narrow feet and they fit very well around the toe and heel.

The boots are very cute and look great with jeans and skirts. To find a right size is tricky, I had to purchase a larger size and put an insole and it works fine. That is why I gave it a 4 stars but I love the boots!

The toebox was much too narrow for my feet even in a 10. I usually wear 8½-9. I loved the style, I just wish they would fit.

These boots are a nice texture and a good deep brown. They stop a couple inches below the knee on me. I was looking for boots that would fit snugly on my average sized calves and these fit the bill. Not skin tight, but reasonably fitted -- probably couldn't wear them over jeans. I have narrow feet and normally wear an 8 but sometimes a 7.5. I went with the 8. They are definitely snug (particularly in the toe box) but I think a larger size would be too big. I have worn them 1 day so far and find them to be very comfortable, despite the close fit around the toes.

This boot is as cute as it looks, and the brown is perfect! However, it runs small. Zappos doesn't carry any bigger, and the lack of support and the thin leather doesn't make me want to look for the right size for the money.

I have been looking for a suede boot that was dressy enough to wear with skirts but able to stand in all day, and not a high heel. These are them. I ordered a 6 and they fit perfect, my shoe size is usually a 5.5/6 so they are perfect.

I had trouble finding a slouched boot in leather (instead of suede), so this one was welcome. They are very comfortable; I just spent New Year's Eve on my feet (dancing, mostly) for 4 hours and wasn't at all sore.

Love this boot! My fiance bought me these for Christmas. I normally wear a US 9, but we ordered size 40 (US 10) based on previous reviews - and its a perfect fit! The quality is very good. There is just enough cushioning in the footbed, I wore these for several hours on New Years Eve without any discomfort. I have the black suede and couldn't be happier! The sole is made of a good-quality rubber material, thick enough to provide long wear but still very flexible. The shaft provides a perfect fit over skinny jeans, not uncomfortably tight but not loose either (and I'm an average-sized girl, 5'7, 135 lbs., size 6-7 jeans). These would fit fine and a larger-calved girl. Based on other styles I've looked at, the price I paid was very competitive for an all-leather boot. Thank you, Zappos!

I love these boots! Very comfortable and a good mid-calf height. Very soft with a little bit of scrunch to adjust up or down on the calf. I am an average sized woman but sometimes regular boots are too tight in the calf, but wide calf boots are way too wide. These are perfect. These have some give and even zip over the top of jeggings. I wear a US size 7 and European 38 is more like 7.5, lots of room but not way too large. These are perfect!!

I typically wear a 7.5 but always order a 38 in Aldo shoes. The fit was exactly what I expected. The boots have a slight taper to the rounded toe, the upper portion is soft with the perfect slouch, and the dark brown color is simply gorgeous. These are definitely my new favorite boots.

I really liked the style and look of these shoes. I ordered them in a size 40 (10) which is what I usually wear. Once I received them though, the toe area was too tight. Sadly, I have to return them. I am not sure if Aldo doesn't make these in a 41, or they are just sold out as I am unable to find them in that size. I would recommend ordering a half to a whole size up from what you usually wear.

I loved how the shoe looked online and I was in need of some new boots for the fall. Unfortunately, Aldo usually starts their sizing at a 36 (I wear a 35), however, from previous experience I know their shoes are cut small. Anyways, I bought the smallest size available and hoped for the best. I got the shoes and loved how they looked. They did not fit the best because I just am small made (pretty loose around my thighs). The shoe felt like a 36 because it didn't fit me as well as I would have liked. Overall, cute style, love the knee high style and the detail of it. Buy it if they have your size, you won’t be disappointed.

Cute boot, except for it's too small. The lining is soft and the foot bed seems like it would be comfortable. Unfortunately, I had to send it back because of sizing.

I got these in a dark brown and the shaft was shorter than I expected. It fell well below the knee (2-3 inches); it also was a REALLY narrow fit and ran small. I wear a 7 and have an average foot and they were definitely tight. If you are planning on wearing with tights or thick knee high socks, be warned. Also, the upper leather did not feel, look like, or smell like leather. Sending them back.

I love these boots. I bought them to replace a pair that were made of velvety fabric that had worn through. At first, it was hard to adjust to the stiffer, warmer feel of these boots. I wish they were vegan, but I love them anyway. They look great with dresses, leggings, or jeans. They are great for causal settings, but they work for my job too (business causal). Great buy!
