I got one of these for the kitchen...It made a lot of sense to me so I wouldn't have to touch anything when I'm baking and my hands are covered in egg or flour or chicken slime or whatever...I filled it with homemade liquid soap (recipe from Pinterest) to save money there (I know...spending all this money on a soap dispenser the saving money on hand soap seems moot but whatever). Unfortunately the recipe for the hand soap is a little inconsistent so this batch came out with a few lumps which causes a very small amount to dispense. Whenever this happens, it's easy to take the top off the well for the soap and give it a quick stir, and everything works fine. That's the only problem I have to report, but obviously some of that is user error. The pump LOOKS great. I love that the spout extends far over the sink...we have hard water and granite counter tops in our apartment, so previously the water dripping off hands would start to form a gross hard water stain that was hard to keep up with. This eliminates that issue. Easy to refill. Easy to set up. I also like that you can adjust the amount of soap that comes out. I have ours set at about medium... it's easy and quick enough to put my hand under it a second time to get a little bit more if my hands are particularly dirty...and it's easy to change at any time. I have NEVER had an issue with the sensor yet, and I think I've had it about 6 months or more. I'm actually on here right now ordering one for each of our bathrooms. We loved it so much we couldn't wait to buy new ones for all the other sinks in the apartment, but it was just expensive enough that we put it off until now.

This is the first one of this model that we purchased and love it. We have 3 other Simplehuman soap dispensers and they all look and work great.

Sensor failed within the first 3 months. And I've spent the last 6 months trying to fix it! It sure does look nice though. It sits right next to my $1.54 Softsoap brand hand soap.

I bought one and liked it so much I bought two more! This pump runs on 4 AA batteries. On the bottom of the pump are plus and minus buttons. These control how much soap flows out of the pump. To prime the pump, you press continuously on the plus button. Nothing comes out at first, but once I let it set for a bit of time, and then came back - it worked! You'll need a Phillips screwdriver to insert the batteries. So much cleaner than having everyone's dirty hands touch the pump! (I consider this kind of a health investment.) I like this particular model because the spout hangs over the sink, although nothing has ever spilled. Love filling it. It's also nice to easily see how much soap is left. I used Aloe/Vera Softsoap refills and it worked just fine. I have allergic reactions to some soap products so it is important to me that it allows me to put my own soap into it.

Stop! Do not buy this pump. I should have listened to all the online reviews but didn't heed the warnings. After 48, the pump stopped working. Tried cleaning it per the directions, but to no avail.Simple Human, which prides itself on customer service, has yet to supply me with a new, update model. Their service is is painfully slow and either dumb or curt. Maybe I'm just spoiled b/c of Zappos best in class service in every respect.

Works great; won't leak soap if setting is on low for very little soap to be dispensed.

I love this dispenser. It is well designed, the spout hangs into sink, and it is easy to refill. They come with simple, easy instructions. Using this reduces the amount of water that accumulates on the counter on the back of the sink.
