I am pear-shaped, this style is my favorite, and I have most of the colors. Yes, they are kind of a mom style, but I am 63 so who am I kidding? I prefer the denim fabrics with some polyester - they are soft and stretchy and not too heavy. Some of the novelty colors (I have some purple ones from last year) are 98 percent cotton and a bit too heavy for me. I also wear 529s and like those except that the low cut in front tends to create a muffin top. The 512s do not do that. All colors fit about the same as far as I can see.

Very flattering fit. However, the size varies depending on the color - black and bluebell run a full size smaller. Luckily Zappos has free shipping in case you need to try a different size!

I am sorry to write a negative review of Levi's 512 jeans. I've worn this style for years and I've been disappointed in recent months. I've always worn a 4PS and have ordered pants online with no problem until a few months ago. Now the jeans are very tight. Right, you probably think that I've gained weight, but that is not the case. My guess is that Levi has switched who manufactures the petite jeans and the sizing is now way off. I also have noticed that the material puckers at the crotch/hips after a few washings. This is very disappointing. I actually paid full price at Macy's because I thought that I might be getting a different product at a discount online. I am now buying a regular size 4 and having the jeans altered. The jeans still pucker after a few washing. Being that Levi is a top brand name in the United States, I am sad that I must write a negative evaluation of one of their current products.

Slimming fit. Waist is high enough to avoid the "muffin top" but not a mom-jean. I'm glad I found these.

I wanted a second pair of these jeans, but couldn't find my size at my local spots, and thought of Zappos. Service was incredible, and delivered right to my mailbox. Jeans are comfy and slimming!

I usually get these jeans in boot cut and a longer length. I can never find capris that fit my curvy figure, so I thought I'd give these a try and roll them. It worked! They look wonderful and are so, so soft. Ordering another pair immediately-

One of the best pair of jeans I have ever owned. They are not trendy, but great for every day wear. I am so tired of low rise jeans, and these are a perfect alternative. They have a slimming effect around the tummy. I read other reviews that state one has to buy an extra size larger, which is true - but who will ever know?

I love these jeans. They have a high rise waist with just enough stretch to control tummy jiggle, the fabric is thick but soft and comfortable, and holds its shape without stretching out. I tried several other styles (Jag jeans, NYDJ, Levis 529 perfect waist), and found these to have the most flattering cut without looking like "mom jeans". My only wish is that the leg tapered to the ankle a bit more, but the leg length is good and they fit over cowgirl boots without looking awkward. I am 5'5", 115lbs with 36" hips and the 4 fits perfectly.

These fit great! Slim cut, but not TOO slim, and the medium length is surprisingly long enough. These are my go-to jeans now. And my order was shipped and delivered instantly. Knocked my socks off!

These are great jeans! Fit great in the waist. A bit higher so no "muffin top." Price point is awesome. Great value.

I love these jeans! They fit perfectly, don't bind and no waist gap. I am a short 5'3" tall with a 29" inseam. The length was perfect which, when you are short, is very hard to find. I now own five pairs and counting. Now if only they came in black.

Just got my first pair, tried them on and ordered another. They fit so well, nice jeans for a hourglass figure. Flattering without looking like mom jeans.

Great looking jeans. They're definitely vanity-sized...I ordered down by 2 sizes and they fit great. Legs are a bit long but easy enough to hem.

These jeans are a good lean alternative to sausage-skin-skinny-jeans, and they have useful pockets, and modesty where leggings won't do. The higher waistline is very comfortable, looks long-legged, not frumpy. I do wish they offered an inch or two more length. (For me, "cropped" is another word for high-waters, and that is frumpy.)

These are great jeans. It's so nice to wear comfortable and higher waisted jeans after all these years unattractive low waists. They don't even look good on most of the young people! The pants are a bit higher than I expected they come just a skidge below my belly button - right at the waist. The fit and fabric are nice and they are slimming!

Zappos delivered the product very promptly. However, the jeans shrunk one full size after washing which made them too tight. Also the cut of the legs was not 'straight' but slightly baggy. I've used Zappos before and find their service excellent. However, this product was not up to par.

I love these jeans. They fit me just perfectly, and really compliment my figure. I have had many compliments when wearing them. I bought 2 pairs, and am definitely going to buy a third pair.

I really like these jeans; actually, I love these jeans! I bought the Morning Light color & love the fabric content. They DO NOT stretch out after wearing, ever, no matter how long they're worn or sat in. Be sure to check the fabric content in the information section for the different colors as they are all different. Only negative is the front pockets are very small. I can live with that as the jeans are super comfortable. I now have 5 pair..gotta buy them when you find a pair that works! Sizing for me is true to size & no gaping at the back waist.

I tried these out last year and they are a less-expensive version of NYDJ. I like their straight leg, but the bootcut not so much. These are great for everyday wear and long on comfort, and they do hold you in, too. Order your regular size.

These fit perfectly and were long enough (I usually take a 32 inch inseam and was worried that these would not be long enough at 31). I tried these jeans because I had previously purchased the Levi 512 Perfectly Slimming Crop pants and was amazed and thrilled at how well the slimming panel worked on holding in the tummy without feeling as if you are being squeezed in half! Love these pants (and the crops)!

I order these jeans every few months. The fit is perfect for me. The price is right and they wear well, what more could you ask for? You can obviously pay a lot more for designer jeans but when you find one that fits I say stay with it!

These jeans are perfect for a curvy figure. There is no gap in the back. They have just enough stretch bend easily with. I have the boot cut, too. The straight leg runs a size smaller than the boot cut, however.

These are a great fit for me. I am 5'7", about 145lbs, usually a size 10. In the white, I found the 12 to be the more comfort fit,(fitted, but not baggy/loose) the 10 I also kept but it is a bit more snug. (I hope in a good way though!) I love the feel and stretch of the fabric. I have a fairly long rise, so for me the waistband is just below/at the navel -- which I also really like (finally able to find this again!) holds things well, and also if your waist is slightly smaller, they don't slip lower. I found in the dark blue pair the size 10 fit more like the 12 in the white...I ordered 4 pair in all, white and denim I liked these so much...good price point also. Very pleased.
