At 52 I have decided to give running a try and I wanted to start off with a good pair of shoes so as not to get discouraged from aching feet right off the bat. I'm about a month into it and so far I can't say enough good about these shoes. They offer good support and traction and are very lightweight. There have been training days so far when I have felt close to stroke, heart attack and catastrophic organ failure, but I have to say my feet always feel great! I would highly recommend these.

After wearing these shoes every day for 2 weeks, I still find them to be very comfy and amazingly lightweight. They also have very good traction, even on wet surfaces. They do run slightly longer and wider than other shoes. I only wish they came in more colors/designs.

Wow! Not what I expected, and totally over delivering! This Brooks shoe is so light, yet unbelievably comfortable. Hoping more colors come out, but for now, very excited about my new Brooks!

My feet are very flat and I have very little feeling in them due to illness. I used a cane for balance until I got these shoes (in 3 colors) and now I can walk well enough without the assistance of my cane (I'm 67). The shoe is very light, airy and comfortable. My 23 year old son thought they were so "cool" he got a pair of Black and green ones too!

Excellent shoe. Fits my narrow feet very well. Provides soft cushioning and great arch support.

I normally like a lot of cushion, which they provide. The rear of the shoe is rounded, so that takes that jolt away from the initial impact. They are also lighter than most shoes that provide the same support.

I have this show in Purple, the green is one size larger, even though I got the same size 9.5 in purple and green, the green ones are too big, I had to send them back.

Was running on Kinvara's for shorter distance runs. Needed a shoe for longer runs. PureCadence is the perfect shoe for 10+ miles.

Comfortable shoe that is good for overall wear. I needed something with a bit more support on the outside to keep from rolling but very comfortable overall. The size runs slightly larger than other Brooks I have worn. Last pair of Brooks I purchased were a 13, these are are a 12.5 and I could probably use 12.

I run a ton. I have done Ironmans and marathons. I have run in Asics for years. I have tried many different styles trying to get the right feel. While I liked Asics, non felt as good as these.
Flat out the most comfortable running shoe I have ever owned.

I ran 500 miles this summer and used two pair of shoes. The Asics Gel DS and Brooks PureCadence. Both are lightweight and supportive, but the Brooks simply feel better on my feet. They feel nice and speedy during intervals and are super forgiving when you take them on a long run. The low profile and flatter heel to toe drop take about an hour to get used to. After that hour, I wondered why all shoes aren't constructed the same way. I've found the construction to be free of defects and very good. Although not recommended, I've even washed the shoes in a machine washer and they are still feel great.

I am very pleased after one week. I got these to replace Asics GT-2160, and I am very satisfied so far.

Best running shoes I've ever had. Light with a minimal feel and just the right amount of support for longer runs.

This is my second pair of PureCadence. The latest pair seemed cheaply made. the plastic that supports the laces cut into my foot.

Cheap China-quality shoe. Black outsole traction plugs do not stay attached to bottom of shoe and will cause tripping. Not worth the price.

I love these shoes! What is not mentioned about them is that they are a combination between minimalist shoes and stability shoes. So, you get the light weight and the support if you are a mild-over pronator. I use them for race days/ speed day runs and if it was not for the low millage, I would run in them everyday. I also prefer them to the Pure Cadence 2, the different being in the lacing which I just do not prefer.

Probably one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn! Because I work 2 jobs, I am on my feet for about 17 hours a day and these shoes didn't bother me at all in any way shape or form!

Quite simply the best shoe I've owned. Delivers on its promises of providing great support in a lightweight minimalist shoe.

Very lightweight and responsive shoe. Has a 'glove-like' fit. This shoe 'breathes' which is great in hot climate. I liked the men's color choices better, so ended up getting men's size 8, when I usually wear women's size 81/2. No problem with the fit.

After running my first marathon last year and experiencing a great deal of residual pain in my lower body, I thought that I would begin transitioning to a midfoot strike instead of my heel strike. I bought these and could not be happier. They are extremely lightweight but offer, I feel, excellent support and enough cushioning if you use proper technique. This was the first pair of Brooks shoes I ever bought and I have to say they might have a lifelong customer here.

Feels like I'm running on pillows. Wish it had a tongue loop to keep the tongue in place, but really not an issue.

Great shoe. Very lightweight. The only odd thing is the lace lock, it can bunch up and create a pressure spot. Not noticeable unless the shoe is tied very tight.

The most comfortable and breathable pair of running shoes I've ever owned, and like always they arrived on time via Zappos!
I tried on the size 9 in the store and it was a little tight (they didn't have the 9.5) so I ordered the 9.5 from Zappos and initially it felt a little big, but now I am happy with my decision to keep it!

Works great for me, both with socks and without. My first shoe to transition from heel striking to a more natural (shorter) mid-stride strike - these shoes help immensely. I'm using my calf muscles more and experiencing less hip & knee joint pain than ever before. The lightweight upper feels great, the laces are comfortable, and the shoe is overall light on my feet. My only question will be durability - the sole is built of a different type of rubber/polymer composite than I am used to - but time will tell.

I have only been running in them for a weeks, but initial reaction is that they they are a nice, lightweight trainer with Sufficient cushioning and support. I'm a heel striker and I like how they have helped lessen the impact/correct this aspect of my form.
