Great looking boot but too floppy at the calf area even with the buckles tightened (and I have a big calf). Otherwise, true to size and well made like other Madden boots.

I got these in brown. The leather is very soft and is great quality. These boots have a very relaxed loose look. They look much more expensive than they are. Great purchase.

Great boots that have been worn from seven degrees to 80 degrees with that same comfort.

They are cool looking boots, very different from what you see on everyone else at the moment. However, I have had to alter the top strap to keep the top and tongue from flapping about wildly. I added a few extra punches to tighten it further and it has worked out fine.

These boots are beautiful. They are funky and sexy. I was not even going to buy them at first because I had already spent so much money on winter boots. I am so glad that I did. They are warm, cozy, great on the snow and not too bad on ice. I absolutely love them.

These are very cute, nice soft leather, neat/clean workmanship. I had to make extra holes in them otherwise they are too loose. They are insanely uncomfortable and stiff though, especially in the back of the heel. It hurts to walk in them. I find that all Steve Madden shoes are very uncomfortable so I usually avoid them. These were just so cute that I got them anyway. For so much they should be able to make something that does not require extra holes and feels comfortable. A more flexible sole would help. I hope they break in decently after a while. I do like the look.

I had read the reviews -- mostly positive -- before buying these boots, and I was not disappointed. I did not find that these were "loose fitting" as some reviewers stated, nor stretched out after wearing them around awhile. Maybe they will stretch more later, as I've only got to wear them about 3 times for a few hours at a time. I wear a size 6, ordered a 6, and they fit great. They look really cute with jeans tucked in under scrunched socks. I am a runner and have big calves, which is probably why I haven't experienced a "loose" fit around my calves. The buckles are secure and not hanging, and the leather is attractive. The boots look expensive and are comfortable, and have that incredible "saddle leather" smell. I love these boots and feel they are worth the price.

These are the best boots. They are very comfortable. I usually wear a size 7 but I needed a 6.5. I get compliments all the time. They work with tights as well as jeans. Lots of room in the toe box. You can adjust the strap if needed. If you want a great everyday boot with style, these are the boots for you.

My wife already bought the brown pair...she really liked these too. I bought them for Christmas and she doesn't know yet.

I was really excited about these boots when i ordered them, but when i received them they were at least one full size too small, i ordered an 8.5 which is what i usually wear and i could barely get my foot in them. i did like the slouchyness of them, some reviews had said they were too slouchy, but they are loose fitting boots. zappos did not have a 9 or 9.5 for me to try in these boots, so i had to straight up return them, sad

I love these boots! And I get a ton of compliments on them. They look identical to the Vintage brand boot which is pricier. I highly recommend.

I love these. I got the 9, I'm in between this and 8.5. The 8.5 would have been just fine, but I wear these with this socks and I put a pad with arch support in the bottoms and these are now so incredibly comfortable. I did take them into the shoe repair to have extra holes put in the straps and also to have them shortened. They were way too loose and way too long. Now, they're perfect. A higher priced look for less. Well worth the adjustments.

I bought these and got them in the mail a few days ago. I ordered a 10 (the largest available size at the time) without having read all the reviews warning that these run small, and was dismayed when my toes complained when I put them on. After contemplating for two days on whether I would keep the ones I have or try getting a larger size, I viewed the boots on the site again and a size 11 was magically there! I called Zappos to inquire about an exchange policy, to avoid having to re-buy the boots all over again, and the process was everything I had hoped for and more. The larger pair are on their way, and I'll be returning the ones I have quickly. And if you think I'm crazy about contemplating keeping slightly-snug boots, it's because these are so amazingly beautiful. They smell awesome, they feel so boss, the leather is great, and I rather like the slouchy look. To the people who want to buy these and then end up complaining about them being too floppy, heed the reviews! And they most definitely run small, so you will need a size larger. The only reason I'm rating "comfort" as 4 stars is because Steve Madden shoes are apparently all rebels and don't make their shoes "true to size." I have no doubt that the larger size will fit comfortably, especially paired with thick socks for the upcoming Chicago winter. Thank you Zappos!

Not what I expected the shoes look nice in the website; however, they were very uncomfortable, too hard.

I purchased these because they looked great. I do have a bigger calf so I hoped they would fit. I do wear a C or D width. I will say that I have worn many pairs of boots over the years. These boots are comfortable. When I put them on I was instantly in love. They were wide enough for my feet. The leather is soft and they appeared that they would be comfortable. I supinate when I walk and that puts pressure on the outer edge of my foot. When I put these boots on I was surprised that they had no inner lining. The raw seams are bulky and can roll when you put the boot on. Most boots have a lining to smooth the seams and cut down on pressure and friction. It's hard to understand why such an otherwise well-made boot would not have an inner liner. Especially at this price. I only had these on for a few minutes when I started having pain in the joint between my distal metatarsal and the cuboid bone. Long story short, I have had a problem with this joint being inflamed before due to a shoe and I am not going through that shot again. It's pretty painful and not cheap. I could have tried to insert some mole skin but if that didn't work I could not return the boots. So sorry. I am returning these boots. I would have loved to keep them but this is just too much money for boots that lack a lining. I'm sure it has to do with money but I have 5 pairs of boots that cost less than these, all with lining. Bummer. :-(

Although Zappos shipped me these boots in a half size too small in a box labeled with the right size, (I didn't notice until I was actually in them for about 30 min) I still wear them all the time. They do run pretty true to size, but are way slouchier than the picture shows--mainly the tongue. The leather strap that wraps around can only be shortened by a few inches. I added a few additional holes further down to tighten it up and they look awesome now. Good quality leather, definitely a good buy if you don't want your basic everybody-has-them leather riding boots.

So I bought these boots for a recent trip to DC and I'm in love with them! They're so comfortable and can be worn with so many things! I got them in brown. Love Steve Madden boots!

These are really cute boots. Like other reviews said, they are a bit floppy. If you could only tighten the top of the boot around your leg a little more and thinking of just punching an extra hole in the leather strap to see if that helps. The floppy-ness (?) is not so bad at first, but as the day goes on, it starts to get on your nerves.

These are high quality boots. Very comfortable. I think they do run a bit long. I wear a consistent size 8 and I'm returning them for a 7.5, and there will still be room for thick socks. The leather quality is top notch. Smells so good and very soft. The top is floppy and loose which I love. I cinched the buckle down and it's perfect. It may be nice for ladies with a larger calf and still be able to tuck jeans inside. I am 5'2" and weigh 107 lbs, I think my calf is small and they still fit nicely. These are my new favorite go-to everyday boots! And, as always you can never go wrong ordering from Zappos. The best customer service and fastest shipping ever. I strayed once and I got stuck with an "in store" credit due to their 30 day return policy and it took almost two weeks to receive them. I will never shop for shoes online at any place other than my beloved Zappos!

These run true to size. I usually wear an 8.5 but ordered the 9 thinking they ran small like other Maddens I have. They were huge. I had to send them back for the 8.5. I love these and wear them all the time. I work retail and have survived 8 hour shifts in them.

These are great boots. They are made from very soft leather and they look great with jeans or tights. I got the black. These are very soft floppy boots and I have skinny ankles so it needed to shorten the strap to keep the boots up but I wore them everyday touring around Italy and I was very comfortable.

These run a little big in the length, and they are a little tight in the toe area. I kept them and they stretched out to be perfect. They are so cute! I wear them everyday.

I had been looking for a pair of slouchier, floppier boots for awhile to wear with thick socks and legwarmers, and these are my perfect boot. I absolutely love them. The leather is great quality and it smells amazing! I was reading some reviews that people had to order a half-size or size up, I was actually the opposite. I normally wear an 8 and had to get a 7 1/2 in these. The only real problems I have with them are that they are a bit wide in the heel, so it's a little loose, but a thick pair of socks fixes that up. And they do get floppier after a few wears. I had to poke an extra hole in the strap, and that did the trick. Even with those few things, I absolutely love them, they're amazing. I would recommend to anyone who was looking for an awesome, mid-calf height, moto boot.

These boots rock! They look great with skinny jeans and leggings. They are perfect if you don't have really small calves. I gave comfort 4 stars because they can be a little difficult to buckle but it's well worth it!
