Excellent alternative to scarves for cold weather commuting and adventure. I get cold easily, and this gaiter provides warmth and wind protection. It's also easy to remove or re-arrange when body temps change during activity, and is better than most hats for holding my hair while also shedding heat. #sweepstakes

Great neck gaiter for winter bike riding and running. It keeps me warm on cold winter bike rides, and long runs on frosty morning in the forest. I don't wear it when it's raining, since the thicker merino wool absorbs a lot of water (not good). But I have liked it in dry, cold conditions.

These gaiters are soft, warm, and allow you to spend more time outside having fun!

Others have commented on the size and fit. It is tighter than most technical neck gaiters and slightly thicker. I would not choose it to run on a day above 20, but on those frigid, windy days by the water, this is what I choose. It is very warm and breathes well, even if the tightness makes it feel like it would not. It does stay in place, and it dries quickly and odor-free. I may take it skiing too, for the days when a full balaclava is too much.

I work outside a lot and I use this in conjunction with a smart wool long sleeve base shirt and I am set.Do not need a coat !I love the length .I own two of these gaiters (150 and 250).

This neck gaiter does what it is supposed to do. It is extremely warm, but not suffocating if worn over your mouth and nose. Extremely happy with my purchase.

Love this - this is my second one - great for skiing and walking the dogs - washes well and provides the right amount of protection in all kinds of weather I would buy again.

The wool neck gaiter makes a HUGE difference on cold weather runs! I run outside in the Midwest if the wind chill is above -15 degrees. Can really tell the difference if I forget my gaiter!

So far so good. It's only now turned really cold, and this works best on cold days. Combination neck warmer and face mask is warm and functional, although I don't think I'd want to wear it as a mask for long periods. Good when out walking the dog and I meet someone and have to mask up quickly.

This is my second Marino Neck Gator from Smartwool and it will not be my last. I wear these every day in the colder New England months and I feel warm and cozy. A must have, go-to staple for anyone who loves the warmth of wool scarves but doesn't want the bulk. Cannot recommend highly enough!!

After leaving my 5 year old gaiter out of the cedar chest last spring, the moths made a dozen holes, but I'll be ordering another. This is my go to on cold morning bike rides and hikesI feel that it alone changes my outdoor activity range by 10 degrees. Fantastic product. No itching. Doesn't droop or sag. Stays fresh. My glasses or goggles never fog as it breathes well. The best single piece of cold weather gear I own.

Warm and soft, just what you want against your face in very cold weather. barring I set it on fire or my dogs eats its, it seems like it will hold up well and last a long time with reasonable care. Fits snugly against neck and face. Dense material. Love it and gave out a couple for Xmas, it was very well received!

I adore this neck gaiter. What else can I say? It's warm, comfortable, the right circumference--not too tight nor too loose, no microfibers going into the waterways. If I lose it or my dog chews it, I would buy another without a second thought. The best.

Perfect neck gaiter. Not too much fabric, not too loose, and warm without itching. I bought an extra in case I lose one because I can't live without it in Alaska.

Recommend for travel. Bought in Colorado, wear in NL. Neck, head warmth. Wash before wear. No itch travel items; folds small.
