My son loves his new boots. He loves the rubber tips which prevent his toes from getting wet, and he loves that the boots come up high enough on his leg to keep snow out. We live in MN where it gets very cold in the winter. My kids play outside even when it is so cold that school is canceled. These boots keep his feet very warm which makes it difficult for me to get him to ever come inside for dinner.

My son just graduated into men's sizes, but the men's snow boots I had gotten for him looked wide enough to fit the calves of the Incredible Hulk! These fit so much better. He was a little concerned about the insulation, but as we got around 10 inches of snow last night he was able to test them while shoveling this morning. Verdict - they kept his feet nice and warm.

These are beautifully made boots! The materials are good and sturdy inside and out. I expect these boots will last for years and years. There is no-way that snow can get inside the boot even if the snow is waist high deep as they have an easily tightened loop around the top of the boot where your calves are. There are also easily adjusting Velcro straps located just above the instep, and by tightening these the boot can't be pulled off by heavy deep snow. There is some arch present, however, I expect the areas in front and behind the arch will break-in by sinking down a little and then allow the arch support to be greater. I tested if an independent orthotic arch would fit into the boot if any wanted to add them, and there is plenty of room to add these. As well, since the insulating liners are removable this would also be an easy way to insert an independent orthotic support. (By stating an "independent" orthotic support, I'm referring to a support purchased separately such as Dr. Scholl's etcetera. The removable liners are also well-made and have a insulation barrier on the outer side, and the remainder is a sturdy felt, probably synthetic for duability. And yes, I would buy these again. The only thing I am not able to answer here is if they get too hot inside. Perhaps ask someone who has worn these boots as the pair I'm referencing here just recently arrived and haven't been put to use as yet. The fit is accurate but with a little wiggle room wearing men's regular crew socks. So there is room for heavy socks. The pair I'm commenting on is Size 10. I would call these very good boots for Yankee's. I hope what I've had to say has been helpful as I found other people's reviews very helpful, and it's important to me to give-back.

Great boots! I've been looking a long time for snow boots that fit my 12 year old, who is now in a mens size, yet, typically mens boots look huge on him! These boots fit him well, and don't look huge. I'm glad to have finally found them!

I don't know how this boot gets the reviews it does. Ordered them for my husband for Christmas. I tried them on when they arrived as my feet are the same size and these things are ridiculous! The shaft is HUGE and cavernous - how does anyones ankle/calf fill it out? And I'm not small...I'm not sure how these are supposed to fit. I even velcroed the strap as tight as it would go across the ankle portion and it may as well not even be there. It did nothing. The tie portion at the top is equally as useless...I can't see how it would keep any snow out. It may leave an uncomfortable mark on your leg, though. In all, disappointing and going straight back to Zappos.

This is the 2nd pair of Tundra Mountaineer boots my 13 yr old son has had. They are so comfortable and warm, durable and completely waterproof. I was happy when he outgrew his first pair - now I wear them!

We purchased these boots for our son for our skiing vacation. We get them a little big because he is growing so quickly. With an insert, the boots were very comfortable and kept his feet warm in the snow. He did not complain once about the fit or cold so there were no issues. His feet stayed dry and were very comfortable. They are very durable and easy to clean (wipe off). We got these big enough that he can hopefully use them again but if he can't, we would surely get the same kind. They were great!

Fit my son perfectly! He has worn them multiple days out in the snow and they have kept his feet warm and dry without blisters. Thanks again Zappos!

These boots are great for my son, SO easy to put on and off. High enough to keep you dry and very light for easy walking. The ONLY downside to these boots is the liner is a bit thin, especially on the sole of the boot, allowing the foot to be colder than it should be. Still plan on buying another pair tho.

Boots made is Canada!! Superb quality and durability specially on the rubber itself. Got this boots in exchange from other brand that quickly cracked where the foot bends. Highly recommended brand and style!

These boots are fantastic for heading out on a snowy day and keeping your feet dry! My son can now stay out and shovel the driveway even longer with no complaints of wet feet! ????

Fit is a little snug. But thats fine. Boots are warm and waterproof with excellent traction.

I bought two pairs of these for my boys and both really like them. They are comfortable, keep their feet warm and dry and are easy to get on and off.

Waterproof, non-leather, comfortable & reasonably priced boots for areas w/up to a foot+ of snow where you may have to trudge home. I ordered up a size to accommodate thick socks & this turned out to be the right choice.

Bought these boots for my son. It's tough to get much information out of him.....but he said they are comfortable, fit well, and keep his feet warm and dry. They fit all winter boot requirements!

I bought these for my 13 year old son. He loves to play hard in the snow. The quality is what I expected from Tundra. He said they are very comfortable and I look forward to a long time of use!

Love these. Good for snow or rain. Tuck my jeans in and good to go. Feet stay nice and warm while walking the dog in our MI neighborhood

Exactly what I wanted. Replacing a pair of Kamik's that the soles deteriorated in in about 5 years or so? The felt insoles are removable, so I can use my old ones for when these get sweated up. I don't believe the tag that says good for -40...don't know if that's F or C since they're Canadian eh. But they don't feel THAT warm. Shovelled a Veteran's Day 3" snow and just walked dog for 45 min in some sub-freezing temps, and they did real well. Great value. Hope to sit on hunting stand with them soon...maybe not if it's super cold. But there is enough room to drop some hand warmers in each one.

I really liked these! I have wide calves and with these I should be able to tuck sweatpants or jeans in while out shoveling snow. LOVE the strap across the ankle to keep things snug. The foot/toe area is a little looser but not floppy. Fairly lightweight for a boot this size. Really glad to finally have a pair of boots I can tuck pants into in bad weather!

Bought these boots for teenaged sons and husband. Loved the height of the shaft and the fact that the strap at the ankle allows for easy on and off. Snugs up nicely for the guy with skinny legs and ankles. The only quibble that I have is that the elastic pull at the top (when snugged up to keep snow out) leaves the elastic strings hanging about 6 inches a side. The picture shows a nice tie off but they don't stay tied. Would have been better to have a loop tag. But, for the price and versatility, this is a small quarrel.

I bought this boot for my 12 year old. Have been buying Kamik for years but he aged out of them so I tried to find an easy to slip on boot that is warm and can withstand snowball fights and sledding. This boot does it. It's a simple style, not so stylish but boys really don't care as long as they are warm and the snow stays out. This is a great warm boot and I recommend highly especially if you have a wide foot. My son has a wide foot and found these to be comfortable. We brought these up to Lake Placid recently and they were perfect. Thanks Zappos for easy shopping and not having to drag a 12 year old to the shoe department in a retail store.
