These are very cute boots but very large. I am usually a 5.5 or 6 and I was kind of swimming in this boot size 6, especially in the heel. I wish they came in a 5!

Love this boot. The leather is so soft and comfortable. The red color is not as bright as the photo shows. It's actually a rich dark red. Buy a half size smaller than what you normally wear because there is plenty of room in the boot. Want to get this in black and Brown too.

Couldn't get this boot over my instep, so never got it on,although it looked long and wide enough. Red color quite dark - not as shown.

I purchased these online and I must admit I had higher hopes for them. I think they're a gorgeous boot and they are fairly comfortable, however would likely be more comfortable if they actually fit. I usually wear a size 6 and saw they fit big, but the 5.5 is still too big. I should have ordered a size 5. The size is listed as 5.5M US and 36.5 EURO. Had I know this, I would have ordered the five, as anywhere else, a 6 US is equivalent to a 36 EURO which I know I fit. I live in Canada and ordered them to a PO box in the states, so returning them is just too much of a hassle, not to mention time consuming/expensive. The leather is incredibly soft, much softer than I would have hoped. I wish it would have listed them as a nubuck leather, as that is what they are. I don't think these will hold up to the amount of riding I do weekly, even though it's only 2-3 rides. For someone who rides more frequently, I think these would get scuffed up really quickly. A nice boot, but I likely wouldn't order them again. Also, it would be nice if Durango made size 5's in all of their boots instead of a select few. I can't be the only person with small feet who has a want/need for cowboy boots?

Returning.....Absolutely NOT the beautiful red that is pictured. The color was more burnished red. So disappointed! Had them shipped 2 day air, $15! Needed them for an event in Texas so guess I’ll have to try to find some true Red cowgirl boots in Texas!

My first time wearing them was a terrible experience. I've had blisters for 3 weeks now and I bought a size bigger to avoid that. I just think the inside shouldn't be sucharged rough material. They look great though

Disappointing!! These boots are super cute and the color is awesome. However, I have to agree with some of the other reviews, the foot and the shaft of the boot are completely disproportionate. The toes are cute and fit decently, but the ankle and shaft of the boot is huge! I can almost walk out of them. I have long fairly narrow feet (size 10) but thin ankles. These just looked weird. Kudos to Zappos for easy returns!

I ordered this boot but the color was very much darker than the cardinal red shown on the website and on the actual box itself. It is actually more the color of the Laredo Madison style. I am so disappointed.

Really cute. Red is darker than photo, but still nice. Sadly, they are going back. I've tried in 6 and 6.5. but this has a very narrow foot, but leg is oddly very large. While boot /heel slippage will likely resolve, the rest of the boot isn't comfortable enough to try. It has a polished sole requiring a good scuffing to not slip. Wish they were a lot more comfortable.

Disappointing!! I received my new pair of these boots, this would have been my 6th pair of the same boot over the last 13 years, and the quality compared to my last 6 pairs is horrible. No longer the leather sole, they look like cheap plastic, as well as the heel, and looks like a bad caulk job around the stitching. Sizing is longer the same either, couldn't get my foot half way in the boot. I will no longer buy Durango boots, will be looking for a new brand of favorite everyday boots

When I think of cowboy boots I think of really reliable, durable, and comfortable boots that look amazing and look better with age. The first pair I ever owned lasted me 9 years and I only had to retire them because of a bad resoling job. If you want a nice pair of cowboy boots these are not the pair for you! I bought them around four months ago and the soles already look like they're going to fall apart within the next few months. For some reason they decided to make the soles out of a really ugly color brown/tan rubber, then painted the rubber black. So they don't look better with age, they look really cheap with age because of the weird brown rubber which starts to show and corrode (I would post pictures if they let me). I also had to exchange the initial pair of these boots that I bought online, because the cardboard toe insert left a noticeable bump in the leather. I've never had a pair of boots wear down this way, and it's very disappointing. This is the first pair of Durango's I've bought and I certainly will not buy another if this is what the quality of their shoes is like! I would definitely suggest trying a different brand of boots if you're looking for a nice classic pair of black boots!
