As all reviews will tell you, NYDJ are great fitting. Just a bit of information that may help some interested buyers - Look at the % of spandex in the description of the jeans. This will help you when you decide which size to order. These sueded denim have 1% spandex so they will not stretch too much and you may have to order your regular size but the Marilyn Over-dye style, as an example, has 4% spandex which will obviously stretch more. This is something I discovered the hard way - and had to send some back for exchanges. Guess I didn't learn my grade-school lesson (many years ago) to read all of the information before I make a decision. My bad, but thank goodness we have Zappos to enable us! Happy shopping!

I just received my first pair of sueded denim jeans in Marilyn style in pewter, today. WOW, WOW! They are soft, fit perfectly, nice length, and run exactly the same as the other Marilyn jeans I've bought and LOVE! I wear an 18, am over 60, and live in jeans. I don't have muffin top, I don't look like I'm trying to be 25, and they actually come up to my bellybutton/waist. YES! Please carry more colors and styles of these sueded jeans -- so very soft, lighter weight than most of the other denim I've bought -- which is fine with me. LOVE them.

Zappos simply the best love these jeans; the fit is great for a women of a certain age, not low rise, not old lady jeans.

These have got to be the best jeans I have ever bought. After my first pair I ordered 3 more. I would say true to size and they make you look thinner. Love the length. I am 5'8 and 140 lbs. I got the size 8. Love them and would reccomend them to everyone.

Thanks to Zappos' free return I tried these jeans and loved them. I normally buy a lower rise but in a "Tall" as I am 5'11". With the 33" inseam I ordered the regular size and the waist of the jean came about an inch or 1 1/2 inches below my natural waist. Perfect! My waist tends to be bigger than it "should be" compared to my hips; that is why I have always bought a lower rise. The fit is great and fits snug but not too tight in all the right places. I did not notice when ordering they were line dry but they are well worth it. I don't wash my jeans to death like my sister does so line drying occasionally is okay by me. Will be watching for more of these.

I loved these jeans so much I bought them in all colors (unfortunately black not available). Great fit, feel and flattering!

Soft material, great dark grey color, buy one size smaller than you usually wear. Great length as well.

Great color on these pants. They do run a tiny bit smaller the the 0's in the brown and pewter and a lot smaller than the black. But for me, they are the best fitting of all 4 colors.

This is my 4th pair of NYDJ. I am 5'9" 143 lbs and I order size 4. The Marilyn are the best for me, because they have the lowest percentage of Lycra - 1%. Any more, and the pants are just bagging off within an hour or so. I love these jeans! They aren't really 'jeans', and the material is soft and the color is perfect. Ordered in black too...wonderful!

Love these jeans! A young and flattering fit with tummy control and higher rise which looks good underneath knit shirts. The color works well with all others and the fabric is soft and forgiving.

These pants are a lovely, soft fabric, in a deep chocolate color. Very nice. Fit to size and stretch without sagging. Love them!

LOVE these jeans! The suede denim makes them a little dressier than regular denim without being too dressy. Comfortable with a very nice fit. I want more, more, more! As always, NYDJ does it right! And Zappos for having them available!

I got these in earth green and love the look, the feel of the sueded denim, the color - it's barely green, almost brown, like earthy moss. But like others have said, the sizes are off. I have others in this brand, in my usual size, 10, but I needed a 12 in these, and still the slim fit squished loose flesh up to a muffin top. I solved it by wearing pantyhose with it until it loosened up. So I would suggest going 1 or 2 sizes up on this style. And Zappos saved the day, I had to switch up to the 12's fast, and they got them to me the next day, even though I called in at 9PM!

Love these on my 50 year old body. I'm 5'7" with long legs so the 33 inch inseam is great with my mid-heel boots. They're tight when they first go on, but loosen up a little while molding to my body. Even though they have a little stretch, they don't stretch too much and give you that "dumpy" look in the back. Pricey maybe. Worth it? Absolutely. I'm ordering another pair.

I bought my first pair of NYDJ jeans in Blowing Rock, NC after hearing 2 other women rave about how well they fit. They were right! These jeans feel tight when you first put them on. Then the mold to your body. They are up at your waist rather than way down your hips. Much better for my middle age shape! I liked these jeans so much that I bought this style in dark brown, too. The best part of all is that you need to buy a size down to make them fit correctly!

NYDJ are definitely getting much tighter in their fit. Had to return the earth green way too small but the pewter ones are true to size!

Beware of Earth Green sizing (Cont.): I originally ordered two of these (in Pewter and Earth Green) in Size 8. The Pewter Size 8 fits perfectly, the Earth Green Size 8 was way too small. I ended up having to order the Earth Green in a Size 12, and it fits perfectly. Funny that the same item in different colors would be two sizes apart. But I'm happy now! Rating this item Overall: 4 stars because of the sizing hassle.

The Marilyn Straight Leg jeans fit like tights. I got the same size I wear in other NYD jeans, but these fit tighter overall. Not what I was expecting.

I am returning the size 10 (my past size) for a size 12. I do hope they have more room in the waistline. I would suggest sizing up (yes in the pewter as well). I'll post as to the fit when received. They are very attractive, soft grey that look a step up from the blue jeans and feel terrific to the hand.

BEWARE OF THE SIZE of the Earth Green version of these jeans. I love NYDJeans; I own one in a size 8 (blue sueded denim bootcut) that fits me perfectly. I ordered 2 of the straight leg sueded style in size 8, one in Pewter and one in Earth Green. The Pewter fit me perfectly. HOWEVER, the Earth Green was way too small - couldn't get it zipped up and the inseam was only 31-1/2", not 33" as advertised. I thought it must be mis-sized, so I re-ordered the Earth Green in size 8 again. It was also too small/too short. I reordered it again in a size 10 because I like the Earth Green color. Hope the size 10 will work!

I love these jeans, good alternative to my bluejeans. Very comfortable. I got two sizes, one fitted one more relaxed but same style. I want to wear them everyday, comfy and good looking. I particularly like them inside boots, long or short boots, they look great. Flattering, too. I got two in pewter, one was lighter than the other.
