This is a super wide shoe with a narrow toe that forces the wearer's little toe to curl under. Just to keep it on my foot I had to cinch the straps past the Velcro strips, and the effect was like that in the old song about Darling Clementine ("wearing boxes without topses, sandals were for Clementine"). The shoe is not particularly flexible and not well padded. Neither does it have much of an arch support. I would say it fails in almost every aspect. The straps are too thin to support the bulk and weight of the shoe. The style would be okay if the shoe were at all comfortable. The best thing I can say about this shoe is that it photographs very well.
