These boots are adorable! My son loves them, I tried them on him, and he cried when I made him take them off. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong size, as they did not come in half sizes, I rounded up. Should've ordered a size down instead (he's a 6.5, got a 7, returning for a 6). But thanks to Zappos exceptional service, after a short phone call, the new boots are on their way before I even sent the old ones back. I also ordered a pair of Western Chief rain boots for my 8 year old daughter, and they fit wonderfully and she loves them too (which says a lot, she is very picky!).

My 7 year old grandson picked these boots out himself and, when they arrived, we were all delighted to see how true to the picture they are. Size is great and the pull on handles a boon. We have one happy kid just waiting for it to rain so he can splash in some puddles!

I absolutely love Zappos and my 4½ year old loves these boots! The great thing about Zappos is the ease of return. No, you are not getting always getting a super discount, but talk about no hassle, multiple returns! That is awesome. My son has very difficult feet to fit, as they are like extra wide shovels. He picked out a pair of rain boots via the Zappos site, when they arrived, he did not like the design and they also did not fit. We ordered this pair and he loved the style, but they were too small, Zappos returned/exchanged with no hassle! It truly is great that I do not have to drag my two toddlers around looking for boots that they like and fit. I can do it from my own home!

This is our third pair of Western Chief rain boots (I have two preschool-aged boys). They hold up great, and the kids love them. The first pair lasted two years before my oldest finally broke one of the straps that he used to pull them on. We've had these a month and they show all signs of being similarly sturdy and well made.

I love this boots. I have purchase the same boots twice for my boys and they love them ever time. They are so cute. the only thing is the insole that is very thin, other than that it a really good rain boot for small children.

I got these as a gift for my grandson's 3rd birthday. They were an instant hit! My daughter liked them as much as he did and was very disappointed to hear that they didn't come in her size. :-) Seriously he wears them everywhere, rain or shine.

We're on our second size of these boots. My kid likes to wear them everywhere and they've held up pretty well. I've had other boots from this brand that didn't fare as well as these have, so there's something about this design that's a little more durable. (The others we've had were ladybug and frog designs.) Not as roomy in the calf as I'd like for a rain boot - depending on where your kid is in the growth spurt cycle, getting pants in with the legs may be a challenge. No insulation, these are intended to be more like spring rain boots. If you're intending on wet winter wear, I'd size up and get some thick socks. No real arch support to speak of, here, but they, again, are intended as rain boots.

Ordered two pairs of these last fall for my then 2 year old twins. They loved them, could take them on and off easily, and wore them every day until spring. We're in California so its not exactly freezing, so these lighter boots worked well all winter. But by February both pairs had developed cracks in the uppers around the ankles where the rubber bent as they walked. I am really disappointed in them, given they are not exactly cheap, I would expect a pair of rain boots to at least last for one entire wet season, these didn't even manage that. Will not be buying Western Chief brand ever again.

Purchased this boot because it was so cute. Problem was within about 1 month, the lining began to separate from boot and one of the pull on handles/straps broke off. The opening of the shaft is fine, but as you get right to where you pull your foot in, it is very narrow, making it hard for children to put on. Powder helped, but who wants to powder boots that their child can pull on themselves.
