these slippers are the best!!! Fit is perfect and so comfortable. I’m so disappointed they’re never in stock! My favorite style! Great arch support too!

I do love these. The 4* in comfort is more of a ‘me’ problem, I think. I require more than good/moderate arch support. The fabric is nice, but if you are rough on shoes and would wear often I can see a possibility of wear issues.

I absolutely love these slippers! When you wear them they are so comfortable you forget they are slippers and you go everywhere in them. I am 66 years old and I’ve had many pairs of slippers. These are far beyond what I’ve had.

Everyone else said to size up but I got my normal size and they fit great. They aren't super warm on their own but with socks, they're perfect. Love having the arch support, walking around barefoot was causing my plantar fasciitis to flare up. Definitely recommend these slippers!

Wool is comfy - not sweaty or scratchy. Arch is high but after wearing little in my feet in last few months I would notice anything and after wearing on my concrete basement floor for two days I was grateful for the support (no sore knees or feet): for the ability to wear all day the price is acceptable. The light green is very nice and glad for a color that's not dark and heavy looking. Very wide toe box so loads of wiggle room with socks or not.

This is my 2nd pair of Giesswein slippers, and I won't go back to any other brand. It's a good, solid, sturdy slipper, or in my case, house shoe (because if I am home, this is what I wear all day and night). Good solid construction, good arch support and comfy, even when I wear them with socks. At first, I thought they were too small/narrow, but that's not the case - they need a good 2 full days before they "give" a bit, and now they fit perfectly, even with socks. Had I sent this back for the next larger size, that pair would have been too big after a few days of wearing them. Love these slippers-well worth the money. Each pair lasts me about 4-5 years, and I wear my slippers A LOT!!!

These slippers are great. I have plantar fasciitis as well as nerve pain in my toes and love the extra support and warmth. I switched out the insoles for a pair that are a bit softer in the forefoot. I also love that I can tighten them so they stay in with no effort. I found these to be true to size. I am a size 6.5 and ordered a 38. I wear them with socks.

I ordered these for my son's 17th birthday. Ok, so not every teenage boy would be happy to get comfortable slippers as a gift, but my seriously shoe picky guy was. I was planning on him hating them for one reason or another, but he really loves them. He is a fan of arch support and general foot health and won't tolerate anything remotely uncomfortable so I don't spend a lot of money on shoes for him. So the expense was worth it for us. He also likes birkenstocks (size 44 in those). These are definitely a full size too small, so many thanks to all the other reviewers who helped me get the right size the first order.

The fit is a little tight, but they loosen up a little, this is my third pair, so I know to get my regular size.

These slippers are awesome! I have a wide foot, a high arch, and a high instep. They are not easy to slip on (because of high instep), but once they are on they feel so good on my feet. I can actually feel the arch support on the bottom of my foot. To say that is rare is an understatement! I will definitely order another pair of these when these wear out.

These are warm, supportive, and comfortable! But the run seriously small!!! I’m returning my original order and getting a full size up.

Beautiful slipper, excellent fit and feel. Unfortunately, after two weeks of wear, the string on the left slipper broke away and pulled out. Will return for another pair. Very disappointed this happened.

These fit my wide feet fantastically. They have arch support. My foot doc told me to get shoes with much higher arches and these definitely do have higher ar he’s. Felt weird at first but didn’t hurt. The heel is very low and I have achellies issues so I put a slight wedge under the heel. To make these perfect for my feet. The top Of the shoe is very warm and has some stretch but it isn’t scratchy . They are really comfortable.

I honestly loved these shoes at first wear. I have incredibly flat feet that have come with a myriad of pains and problems, but these slippers are perfect for my standing desk while I work from home. The arch digs in to the foot a bit (still haven't broken them in though), but I've learned that's the price I pay for fixing all of the other problems caused by flat feet. I went a 1/2-1 size up at others' recommendations, and they are a tad loose, but that allows me to wear more kinds of socks with them!

I just got these slippers 4 days ago and I’ve hardly had them off since they were delivered!they are very comfortable. I wear a women’s size 11.5 or 12, medium width and I ordered the 44 medium width. Since they are a mens size, they are little bit wide, but the toggle allows me to tighten them perfectly. I originally got these because you can remove the insoles and use your own orthotics, but the arch support is so good,I don’t think I’ll need to do that... we’ll see how it goes. The sole is sturdy enough that I can wear them out onto my porch and driveway. They are expensive, but I can see I will wear them ALL THE TIME!

I ordered the size Zappos suggested, which is a size up from my regular size. I have a terrible time finding supportive slippers and these are terrific!

I would ignore any advice to go up from your usual size. I went up half a size (with wide feet) and feel sure I could have stayed at my usual size. Despite this, they are just as people have described: a warm slipper without causing sweaty feet, and well cushioned/supportive. I also like that they have a rubber sole which will hold up better, come clean more readily, and allow me to walk through the garage or on the patio without feeling as though I'm dragging dirt into the house.

Fit was as expected. Arch was as expected but new to me and took getting used to—am loving it more each day. Like the way they stay securely in place on my foot. Very pleased. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a substantial, well made slipper.

Exceeded my expectations. This is a high quality support slipper for the long run- you really really do get what you pay for and this true to size house slipper offers not only excellent workmanship but solid foot bed support. So glad I bought it !

This was the fourth pair of the same slipper that I have bought; needless to say I like them, even though the price has gone up quite a bit, but you can't beat the arch support and comfort. This pair was a little tight fitting around the top at first but has stretched out enough that now it can be put on without a struggle.

The fit was perfect. I have extremely flat feet, with significant over pronation. and needed a pair of shoes that would correct for that. While the sole feels hard as some reviewers have complained, it worked as well as my orthopedic walking shoes which have custom made orthotics. For me, the hard sole was not a problem, and they are so comfortable that I sometimes forget and wear them out when I do errands. I did try gel inserts just to see, but it made them less comfortable for me. They breathe so my feet don't get too hot, and I love the pull on tab on the heel. Recently one of the shoes went missing, and when I find it it will get a good scolding. Until then, I am buying another pair. As for washing, the manufacturer recommends: remove footbed (not washable); wash cold, gentlest cycle (only mild, natural detergent, if necessary, for tough soils); no fabric softener; no machine drying; stuff shoe with paper/newspaper and allow to air-dry overnight; insert footbed after shoe is completely dry. Very well made shoes that should stand up over time.
