Very warm and comfy. Really nice all around the house shoe. The warmth of slippers with the functionality of shoes. Soles are perfect to run out to the mailbox and work around the kitchen, They run true to the European sizes. I would buy another pair from this company.

In a world where everything is Amazing!...these are simply excellent in every respect. A perfect combination of warm slipper that breathes, coupled with a firm and supportive non-marking, rubber outsole for in-outside versatility. I would follow the advice to order a size larger on this batch. I did, and I am glad I did. Extremely happy-feet with these. Quite medieval, actually. Just ordered a pair for my partner.

I'm not really a slipper wearer, but my wife wanted me to wear them around the house to set a good example for our children. She was always chasing after them to wear their own slippers, and daddy was bare foot. I decided to give these a try and I can't say enough good things about them. They're comfortable, not hot, and I've now adjusted to wearing them all of the time. They're kind of cute too although that was not a major factor when I chose them.

This is a really comfy slipper that I brought w/ me on an airplane and it was awesome! I had support walking and it was easy to take on and off. At home this slipper gives me enough support so that I can do chores as well as step out to run quick errands. The price is steep, but I have orthotics that don't feel as great as these!

Too tight! Had to return them. 15 US size should be a 49, or even a 50! What a shame.

My wife is 8½ months pregnant and loves these slippers to wear around the house. In fact, we bought two identical pairs - one "clean pair" for in the house and one for running errands around town. They have so much more support and cushion than the cheaper competitors on the market. For how often she wears them, they are a way better value than most of the more expensive shoes she buys to go out in. These are really excellent quality.

I loved the look and feel of these. However, the toggle does not tighten the ankle portion enough for them to fit comfortably. My ankles kept sliding out of the shoes.

After reading the other reviews I thought I would have to size up but they weren’t available in a larger size. Ended up ordering my usual size and they were perfect. They fit comfortably without slipping and the arch support took a bit of getting used to but now feels the perfect amount of supportive. The purple color is super cute. I think they’ll be my favorites for a long time!

This was my third pair of Euro-size 43 Med Giesswein Vents (my US shoe size is 9.5). I've found that the Vents fit a just little tight at first but soon conformed comfortably to my size after a few uses. I completely wore out my first pair after wearing in cool/cold weather every day for several years. The second pair is a different color, are worn less frequently and are still in good shape after a couple of years of occasional use. I purchased this pair -- the third pair -- to replace the worn-out first pair. Giessweins are very comfortable and warm! I highly recommend!

The craftsmanship is very good. The Giesswein Vent is comfortable, easy to put on and take off. I needed something breathable to keep my feet warm in my home office and they do a great job of that. I have actually ordered a couple additional models of shoes by Giesswein.

I love these slippers and actually want to wear them out running errands as they are more comfortable than my "shoes" I wear. They keep my feet warm and love the support they give. No more sore back, feet or hips from wearing slippers with no support. I would stay true to size as I ordered up and these are a bit big, but I still love these. Only had them for about a week so cannot say how they will hold up for the price.

This is my second pair of Giesswein indoor/outdoor slipper shoes. The first pair I purchased on 12/2016. So my original pair lasted 4 years. My usual wear of indoor/outdoor slipper is one year. So even though the Giesswein shoes are pricey, they last 3 times longer then the others I have purchased. The included foot bed is pretty stiff like a Birkenstock. I use orthotics so I never used the Giesswein foot bed anyway. I understand the Giesswein foot bed will conform to your feet in time. If you do not like a stiff foot bed you could replace them with some other softer/cushion foot bed.

Absolutely fantastic. Comfortable from first moment I put them on. Great looking, great support. The Best!!!!

I followed the recommendation of other reviewers and ordered a full size up. I normally wear 38 and ordered 39. The fit is perfect. The arch support and footbed are supportive and very comfortable. Very satisfied with this house slipper!

Using advice from previous reviews I ordered one Euro size larger than my usual. Fit was good with medium weight wool socks and slightly loose (but easier to put on) with no socks. I have what I think is called a low volume foot--foot has fairly normal arch but less depth in instep so things like laces and straps have to be cinched up. These slippers fit me snugly depth-wise and might be too tight for people with opposite problem. Slipper itself is warm and has sole with good traction on hard surfaces.

This is my second pair of these slippers and I love them. I battle with plantar fasciitis, and have higher arches, so supportive shoes are important. The first pair "lasted" around 3 years. They were still usable but I wore big holes in the outsides by crossing my legs and rubbing my feet together for so many years. Also, the wool started to look a little thread-bare. They still kept my feet warm but I wanted to treat myself to a new, nice-looking pair. I ordered a size 40 (US size 9) and normally wear size 8.5 or 9 women's shoes, depending on the brand. These slippers felt a little snug at first but, based on my past experience, I knew they would quickly loosen up and feel "true to size". I will note that after years of use they start to feel a little loose but I liked that. When these wear out, I will be ordering another pair.

Took trying on eleven pairs to find one that fit and supported. Great house shoes. If your feet need an extra layer for warmth these are perfect

My second pair for good reason. Reasons to love these: great warmth, great arch support. The comfiest slippers you will ever find. And if you have need for the arch support, nothing compares. I have plantar fasciatis, however you spell it, and good support is a must. Reasons to find some frustration: sizing is just a tiny bit small. I bought the same size as my old ones and they feel distinctly smaller. But I figure that's because my old ones are stretched out. But a half EU size bigger might not go amiss. Also, DO NOT use your finger in the back of the heel to slip them on--it will wear out faster. Use the fabric loop. Which might break. Thems the risks. The heel will wear out eventually no matter what since it's wool.

I can’t say enough about the support, comfort, and style (in a granola sort of way) of these slippers. I have plantar fasciitis and high arches and these slippers are very comfortable - all day. Definitely worth the money in my case.

Love these slippers. They are very comfortable and can be worn outdoors as well as inside. Another advantage is that the they can be washed when dirty.

I can't say enough good things about the Giesswein Vent slippers, although I wear them out just like shoes. I have had so much trouble with my feet that I had about given up finding something warm, flexible, no heel and comfortable. These slippers are all that and more. I just Giesswein would make shoes with the same type of soles. I would love to have some different styles.

I am a fan of boiled wool slippers, have tried many brands. These are my favorites: toasty warm, like that they are not mules. the sole allows me to run outside for a quick chore, the arch support is terrific. A few words about sizing: I wear a size 7. The size chart put me between a 37 and 38, so I read reviews and since many customers claimed this slipper ran small, I ordered a 38. They were too large! I phoned Zappos, they sent a size 37, allowing me to try both on before returning. (Yay, Zappos!) I am keeping the 37. While they are a bit snug putting them on over socks, they will stretch a bit. While wearing, the 37 are perfect. Thank you Zappos for your great customer service!

I purchased these slippers because my Minnetoka moose skin slippers had no support. I over-pronate on one foot and supinate on the other. I had achilles tendon surgery 3 years ago and currently have a peroneal tendon problem. I guess you get the idea I wanted slippers with enough support that would not make my problems worse. I had been looking at these for 2 years and finally decided to order them. Yes, you need to size up. And the arch support is wonderful (will have to get used to the higher arch on the foot I over-pronate). I like the idea of the outside bottoms, as I feel they add to the stability of the slipper. I live in the hot, humid south and the wool is cool on our warm (79 degrees) winter days. I'm sure they'll be equally cool in the higher heat of the summer.

This is my third pair of these slippers. I average buying a new pair every 1-2 years, but this is because I wear them every waking hour of the day in the house (I work from home) and even take them with me when I travel. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and need support but not too much, and above all need shock absorption and light weight. These fit that bill for me. They don't fall off, the wool stretches to fit my feet, and they're basically a hug all day long. One bit of advice: take care putting them on and off and treat the back part you slip into well, and they'll last longer. Worth every penny to me.

I have horrible plantar fasciitis and I’m so grateful to have something to wear at home. Worth every penny...will be buying a second pair to keep on the second floor!
