Fit is good. For those with medium to wide feet they will fit better. These slippers are truly all year round with the wool tops. Feet don't sweat with or without socks. Worth the cost.

These slippers are wonderful! I've never spent so much for slippers before, but these are well worth the price. I wear a 7.5 and have narrow feet. These (size 39) are a bit wide and long without socks, but fit perfectly with any type of sock. I think these would fit someone with a wide foot no problem.

Heaven On Earth! Standing in Manolo's all day? Come home to the comfort of these slippers. Not only will your feet feel wonderful but, the inserts will help your posture. Plus, they're washable! The Giesswein Vent is a Must for those of us with Rheumatoid Arthritis or Diabetes 2. Don't think twice - just buy them. You won't regret it and your feet will thank you!

These are great slippers that can be worn outside too! There is strong arch support and the sole protects you from debris and wetness. I particularly like the cinch at the top of the foot because these do stretch out a little and the cinch keeps them secure to the foot. I even wear these on overseas plane trips because I can wear my compression socks with them, kick them on and off on the plane and wear them to the place we're staying without looking too weird!

These slippers/shoes are tremendous! I usually wear a 42, and they fit perfectly, but sizes may have changed from season to season. That said, to get the color (red!) I wanted, I had to go down to a 41 and they really are okay, as well. Because I wear heavy socks, or go barefoot, I also have a size 43, but what I notice most about the different sizes is the footbed differences. If you've had Keen sandals, Birkenstock, you know what sort of support and cushioning you'll get here, too. I plan on wearing them in the summer, because the wool temperature regulates so well!

Perfect footwear. After thousands of dollars of orthotics over the last 10 years, I finally found some relief for my ball of foot bursitis. I've even taken the insoles out to use in others shoes. Looking to buy the insole only for work shoes.

I've had my pair of Giesswein Vent wool slippers now for over four years and continue to absolutely love them. Wearing them daily throughout the winter months, all aspects of these wonderful slippers have held up extremely well. A no-brainer purchase for someone who's looking for a comfortable, good looking, breathable, wool winter slipper for years to come.

I love these shoes/slippers. I wear them all day. They are comfortable enough to use as slippers, but are also great to wear out to the store or anywhere casual. They are a perfect year-round weight. They are nice and wide. I don't have wide feet but like the extra width anyway. And you can tighten them with the draw string. I would definitely buy another pair of these or another of this brand again.

These are the most comfortable slippers I have ever owned. I wear them around the house all day when I am home because they give such great support and are incredibly comfortable.

These are normally more pricey than I would have liked, but I ordered a pair for my husband and thought the quality was great. They look like they are going to hold up for many years. The wool is not itchy--the arch support is way better than what slippers usually offer. The bottom are as solid as can be for those of us who cannot go barefoot around the house any longer and yet the slipper is still very comfortable to wear with or without socks. I have very warm feet and wear socks inside because they sweat a bit, but my feet are not overheated which was a big surprise to me! My husband wears his barefooted and says they are the best he's ever owned. I agree with hubby-these really are awesome. I work on my feet in a hospital so I feel confidant people with sore feet will be happy even at this price. Although the slipper has a drawstring that I've never had before, I like that it can customize the fit. It is not an elastic string so I think it will hold up fine. Worst case scenario is that it needs replacing down the road and that's not a deal breaker at all. I think I have a slightly wide foot and the shoe width is generous. I am a size 5 1/2 -6 so I ordered both 36 and 37, and I kept the 36 and it's just right with a little to spare.

I love these slippers! I have foot issues and ordered /returned at least 5 other brands until I found these. It's the first slipper I've found with real arch support. I've had them about a month and they seem to be holding their shape as well.

These are fantastic! I love them! Warm, comfortable, and really good arch support. They absolutely run a size smaller. I'm a solid 45. Ordered a 45 & 46, kept the 46. Enjoy!

Great shoe. My husband puts them on as soon as he gets home from work. Comfortable and looks good.

On the advice of virtually every purchaser, I ordered up a full size a size from what I usually wear. I am almost always a women's size 8, so I ordered a 40 (US Women's 9). Unfortunately, they are just too big for me. I am guessing that I am a "small" 8 (slightly bigger than a 7.5) and the 39 would have been fine. Am giving these to my sister, who should be happy in them, and I will reorder in a 39 when they come available in the black. Otherwise, a great shoe. FYI, I have been happily wearing the Keen Howser wool slipper, which has NOT held up well. It is supportive, warm and comfortable, but given the price, I expected it to last a couple of years. It has not.

This awesome slipper is true to size - I'm not sure what people are talking about in these reviews. I am a normal (no foot issues) medium width size 8-8.5. I wear a 39 euro shoe and ordered a 40 (and a 39) based on comments posted here. The 39 fit perfectly (even a touch roomy). EXCELLENT arch support which is perfect as I was looking for some relief from my hard wood floors (I spend a lot of time cooking in the kitchen). Couldn't be more pleased. Worth every penny.

Based on a few reviews, I purchased one size larger than I normally wear. It was a mistake -- the shoe was too large. I have re-ordered based on the fact that the shoe size is accurate as advertised.

Love these slippers. Got used to arch support in minutes. I wear a 9 or 9 1/2 shoe size, and the size 40 is perfect. Highly recommend this slipper.

After several go around with sizing I arrived at my regular size and don't believe the reviews that say these run large! Just order your normal size. I wear a size 6.5 US and the 37s are perfect. Awesome shoe/slippers. Toasty. Good footbed.

I needed a pair of warm slippers with arch support, so I put that in the search line at Zappo's and found these Giesswein Vent slippers. I ordered my usual size, but when they came I thought they might be a little short. However, with only a day or two of wear, they have formed to my foot and are wonderfully warm and comfortable. And I love the color.

My podiatrist recommended that I not go barefoot and wear slippers with arch support, and these have turned out to be ideal. They are great for lounging, but I can also make quick trips outside to unload the car and such as well, given the rubber sole. They also accommodate my wide feet. Well worth the higher price.

These slippers are very well made and exceptionally comfortable. I'm big and tall and the very sturdy arch support was just what I needed for my plantar fasciitis. They're very good for standing for periods, in activities such as cooking, etc. I really like the indoor/outdoor sole as well that I don't have to change shoes just to go out and get the mail or walk to the garage to retrieve something. I would definitely recommend these shoes to a friend.

I bought these for my hubby after my Mom and I gifted a pair to each other for Christmas. I have them on as I'm writing. Absolutely worth every penny. Fabulous, removable footbed. Cozy warm yet breathe wonderfully (not like Uggs - which my feet steam in). I think I've worn mine every day since Christmas - no pilling, wearing great. HIGHLY recommended.

I have not had slippers for years, since I started wearing orthotics. I bought these in a slightly larger size to accommodate my orthotics. My actual size fit, and the arch support is so good that I do not need my orthotics! I am so excited about these slippers! Thank you!
