Best steel toe work boots I've ever had! I work in a professional environment that allows jeans and tucked in shirts. I spend a significant amount of time in areas requiring safety shoes.
Things that are important to me: Comfort, Quality, Style, and Made in USA. These are fantastically made boots, it reminds me how much better high quality and durable goods are than the throwaway shoes mass produced in China.
These have a solid feel. They can be resoled many times if they wear. Google or look in the yellow pages, every decent sized town has a shoe repair shop.

Chippewa is the best brand of boot I have ever worn. The pair I am replacing with the new ones have been worn under the worst of conditions on the farm and lawn care for 3 years and are just now coming apart. Well worth the Money!!!

I have three different pairs of Chippewa boots. The original pair needs to be resoled after four years of almost daily wear. Well worth the money.

I really wanted to like these, I really wanted them to work. They're beautiful boots, even better-looking in person than in pictures, and you can feel the excellent build quality with thick-cut, heavyweight leather. Unfortunately, they were just way too narrow for my wide feet. Even having ordered them in the EE width it wasn't even close. I don't have the $300 for Red Wing Iron Rangers, Blacksmiths etc, so I returned these for a pair of Thorogood steel-toed boots which I've had for about a week now and are working out beautifully.

I have had this boot for about 5 weeks, and there appears to be delamination from the welt and the sole, which to me even for a cheap shoe would be unacceptable, I've read about these types of problems with Vibram soles before but was not expecting it to still be happening, will be contacting Zappos shortly to see how to resolve this, I expect most shoes, specially work boots to perform for at least 6 months, this is does not lend Chippewa a good name. Will look at other brands in the future.

I loved these boots but when they arrived they had a tag on them stating that they had chemicals in them known to cause cancer... Plenty of boots out there without cancer causing chemicals. No thank you. I only wish they gave me the warning before I brought them into my house and wasted the fuel to get them here and back. :( Chippewa use natural tanning agents so I can wear your boots and you can have less impact on the environment!
