I was in a head on accident in February of 2015; both legs ankle heels broken. I am now walking full weight on my right foot. This insole has helped my ankle muscles get strong. The insole keeps me very stable while it strengthens my ankle muscles.

These took a while to get used to but once I got them in the right shoes they worked great for my heel spur! The arch in my opinion could be a little higher but they are great for the price and so much sturdier then other brands! I highly recommend for anyone with plantar fasciitis or heel spurs! Also, they do fit into my flats and tennis shoes! I will order a second pair soon!

I have two pairs of custom made orthotics. These Birkenstock Arch Support Maximum Stability inserts are far better than either of my custom ones. I have flat feet and pronounced arthritis of the feet and these provide extraordinary comfort and support. I have been using them in both my dressier work shoes and my athletic shoes and feel like I am in heaven. Thank you, Birkenstock.

I've got bad plantar fasciitis in my right foot, and these plus Orthaheels sandals have made all the difference in the world. Just wish I could fit them in anything besides boots and sneakers. I can't wear any of my normal heels or sandals right now.

I've loved my Birkenstock sandals and shoes and wished that my feet felt the same at the end of a long day of non-stop haircutting when I wore my Keens. I wish no more because these guys work beautifully! After reading other reviews, I did leave the front end of the existing insoles in my shoes by marking and cutting them in half. The Birko butts right up against it and all is well. No sliding. I'm saving for another pair or two. It's the arch support that I love the most!

I deal with plantar fasciitis and other ankle problems. Having these in my walking shoes allows me to walk for miles with little or no pain. One star for style because they simply won't work in fashion shoes.

I have worn the Birkenstock Birko Balance arch support for about 10 years on the advice of my podiatrist. I have two pairs and wear them to work as a teacher standing for long periods of time and at home. I wear them constantly! I would have had to stop teaching without them as my feet were causing me much pain. I haven't had any pain since wearing these arch supports. I believe in them fully and constantly advise people to purchase them.

These are wonderful Wish I would have bought them years ago. Move them from my Uggs to my flat dress shoes to my walking shoes and everything feels great! Runs true to size.

These inserts are really wonderful! I have pretty bad arches in my feet and a bunion on my right big toe. These arch supports support my feet beautifully and with great comfort. Don't be misled by the picture on the front of the box that shows someone with some type of real physical disability; these arches are just great for the common foot problems that many people have. I used to buy the Birkenstocks blue arches, but these are constructed better, are sturdier, and last longer. They are also of similar cost as the blue arches. I've actually bought three pairs of these arches for different pairs of shoes, even though they are expensive. I am very pleased with them.

I've had foot problems for decades. Seen Podiatrists for decades and spent thousands of dollars on orthotics. I've always worn Birkenstock sandals which are well suited for bad feet. So, if you want to cure foot issues, get a pair of BirkoBalance for your shoees -- you will smile again. For the money, it's the best kept secret for those who love Birkenstock!

I've been experimenting with arch support, and reading lots of reviews. These are the best insoles so far! They are sturdy yet so comfortable I don't even feel them in my shoe. I carefully purchased my truest size. I normally wear a woman's 7 wide, but I measure for a 6 1/2. So I ordered this insole in a 6 1/2 wide and the fit is perfect. These insoles are worth the money (of which I don't have it to burn). I plan to replace these as needed with the same insole.

I have lower back issues and walking correctly is a great help. These things are great. Stabilizing without discomfort! I need the wide and to my surprise was able to fit these into flatter, walking type shoes with no problem. Even a pair of boots! After I ordered the first pair and discovered how well they were going to work, I ordered two more pairs for my most commonly wore pairs of shoes.

Great arch support. took my foot a few days to get used to it but my ankle pain and foot pain went away almost immediately. These have a sturdy design which should last (only had them for a couple months). I used to keep buying the green plastic inserts for $30 but they would break down quickly so I decided to go with the cork insert in hopes it would last much longer, so far I think that is going to be the case. Also, these seem to fit in some dress shoes but not all. Be careful if that will be your main use.

These inserts are well worth the price. It might seem high at first but once you spend some time with them in your shoes you will realize how comfortable they are. They are well built and will last forever and you can transfer them to any pair of shoes. They are rigid but that is exactly what you want for an insert. I have three pairs of them now and I simply cannot remember what my life was like before I started wearing them.

I have planters fasciitis in both feet and tendinitis in my right foot. I've been going to physical therapy which has helped me these Birkenstock supports have helped tremendously. I started wearing them in my tennis shoes only and now wear them all day in work shoes too. They were a little hard to get used too but once I got used to them I cannot go without. These insoles are worth every penny and I need to invest in a 2nd pair. Thanks Zappos!

These things are a godsend. I have running-induced plantar fasciitis and during warm weather months, live in my Birkenstock sandals for the arch support - no other shoe comes close to the comfort that they give me! I ordered a pair of these insoles to use when I couldn't wear my sandals. They took some getting used to, in that I can feel where the insole ends, but it wasn't irritating or bothersome. These things have made many shoes I thought I was done wearing, wearable again! I have worn them in many shoes, from boots to hiking shoes, to comfort flats, and driving mocs. They don't quite fit in a small, delicate flat shoe. I love them, though, and I am getting plenty of wear out of them!

I have worn Birkenstocks forever. Having torn a tendon in my ankle a year plus ago, I was prescribed my Doctor's approved orthotic. I wore them religiously, and they helped somewhat, tho' my foot would easily get tired while shopping, etc. Like for only 2 hours. Frustrating. But I forged onward, believing his prescription, as it were. I then inadvertently found these on Zappos and thought "why not?" After all, I wore my Birkenstocks around the house as "slippers" and they felt good. Well, after a year and a half of messing around with this healing, I ordered these, put them on in my walking type shoes (Skechers, etc.) and I swear the next morning I could get out of bed like a normal person, i.e. not favoring it and waiting 'til the muscles and tendon adjusted from relaxing during the night. Honestly, 'twas a miracle!

These are some of the best I've tried but nothing like wearing the actual Birkenstock shoe. They are firm which is what I need. They arrived quickly.

The inserts are longer than the regular Birkenstock inserts. As such, while they give good arch support and heel pain relief, they rub uncomfortably under the foot ball. I'm returning these.

I really wanted to like these. I need some solid insoles to calm the high arches and bursitis of the heel. Unfortunately, these insoles are enormous, wide, and don't fit into any of my shoes. Bummer.

If you have a flat foot these might work for you but I have high arches and a job that I stand and walk all day and these don't really help much. My feet still ache with these after about 3 hours of use. One other thing too is the ends and edges of the insert are rough and rub your feet raw if it doesn't fit your shoe perfectly. I bought these because I had a Birkenstock insole from several years ago that was amazing. This one is not so much. For the price your better off with a insert over this.

True to description, these are unbelievably tough and unyielding so if you are looking for supreme arch support, these should do it. Unfortunately the style just does not work for me. The side come up too high and are digging into my foot. So I am sticking with my regular blue footbed arches. I wear a size 6 (regular, not wide or narrow) and wear a 35.
