First off i want to make it very clear that this review is for those who have never worn a clog-style shoe before. there are many that swear by clogs and would never wear anything else; this review is not for them. if you are used to wearing a shoe that fits snugly around your foot and provides some cushion in the sole then this shoe is not for you. clogs are supposed to fit a little loose so that your heel slides up and down along the back of the shoe. no matter how much others will say that you will eventually get used to wearing a shoe that feels as if going to slip off, you won't. the inside of the shoe provides almost no cushion. while it may not be rock-hard it isn't comfortable in anyway. after standing a while or walking around your feet will be in pain. the worse part of this shoe is the heel part of the sole. the edge of the sole is not rounded in anyway. which means that if you are not careful you can roll and ankle. my first day wearing these shoes i nearly rolled and ankle twice. this means you have to walk slowly and cautiously; for healthcare workers this isn't a choice you have. on the other hand this is a very beautiful shoe, which is what made me decide to try a pair. this is the only reason i gave a two-star overall rating. overall this is just an uncomfortable shoe and it's not for those who need to get from one point to another very quickly. i hope this helps those who are looking into buying a clog-style shoe for the first time.

Love these shoes for my kitchen management career with a high end restaurant chain. I tell all new employees to order Sanitas over Danskos. They are definitely harder to find, but Zappos has it covered. I had to wait a few weeks for my size to come in, but it's worth the wait. And Zappos contacted me via email as soon as they came in stock. Comparable in price, they last longer and are more comfortable than Danskos.

I used to wear Dansco. They were manufactured by Sanita and each pair I ordered were just like the last until Dansco took their manufacturing to China and the sizing was off. A 43 which I wear was too tight to even get my foot in and the 44 was too big. So I went to Sanita. Now it seems that Sanita has changed manufacturing as well. Not sure mind you, but the 43 I usually wear is now not the same. Big bummer as was extremely happy as a chef on my feet for hours at a time. Now I'm looking for something else to wear after 20 years in clogs.

I was trying to replace an older Sanita and was disappointed with the new items. It feels cheaply made, the staples are not aligned. The leather is not neatly cut. And the fit is different. The heel feels shallower than my existing pair.

The shoe fits very well, considering the hours that I’m on my feet. This is about my 5th pair.

I love these shoes! I am an ER nurse and stand on my feet for the majority of my 12 hour shift and these shoes are super comfortable. They take a few weeks to brake in but once they have they fit like a glove. Buy these over the Dansco's you will not be disappointed.

Overall, these shoes are great for working in the hospital. Compared with some of my other shoes, my calf muscles/legs feel less tired, my feet hurt less (especially the heels), and my lower back hurts less. It takes a few weeks to get used to/break in, so don't judge it in the first week. As a men's shoe, the style is really unfortunate, since it's exactly the same as women's clogs, and therefore doesn't look manly at all. But the extra 1-2 inches of height is great!

My first Sanita clogs, and boy!! I love it! I was using Dansko and klogs clogs( they both make superb clogs too), and i love my new clogs as much as i love those.perfect for 11+ hour shifts on the feet!!

Been wearing these "original Danish Clog" for years now. I love it, but the only disappointment in my new pair is that the heel isn't wood like my other ones were, but a hard rubber, which is fine really. I did like the wooden heel better for harder support.

Have been wearing Sanita clogs for over 10yrs. They Fit me better than Dansko. Great quality and I never have sore feet from working on the floor all day long.

I suggest wearing thinner socks for the first 2 weeks to get the shoes broken in, as they are a little snug across the top to start. After the break in period, they are great!

I am somewhere between a Dansko regular and a Dansko narrow (which you can never find). The Sanita regular width fills that gap. Quality seems totally comparable yet price was a little less. Win Win Win.

The Sanitas are a bit smaller than the Dansko clogs. Still ok and will stretch but I am not a fan off the black. It's really dull and kind of rough.

My husband is a physician and wears these on surgery and call days. They are the most comfortable and long-lasting shoes he owns. His last pair was purchased in medical school, nearly 10 years ago! Worth every penny!

I've worn these shoes for several years & won't wear anything else. I rely on these shoes for far too many 14+ hour shifts in a busy kitchen.

I would order down a size and a half. I usually take a 12 to 13 but in this case needed an 11 (45).

Best work shoes I have ever bought! This is my second pair of these shoes and when they finally wear out, which will not be for a few years, I will buy them again. I have worked in healthcare for 10+ years and these shoes are as important as my stethoscope to getting my job done safely and effectively. Being made of leather makes them easy to clean when soiled by what ever God auffal substance gets on them. They are super comfortable and the thick rubber sole prevents me from slipping and sliding all over the trauma bay. The only negative is they do take a few weeks to brake in but when they do they fit like a glove!

Received my clogs quickly One shoe was clearly smaller than the other and did not fit. I could not get my foot into easily. Returned and received another pair which were perfect.

I replaced my Dansko with these Sanitas. Sanitas are true to size and definitely more stable. However they have slightly less arch support.

When I called to place my order, the woman on the phone was very polite and helpful. I ordered Sanita clogs. Love them. I bought the first pair 10 years ago and have worn Sanitas since then. I much prefer them to Dansko. Some people say there is no difference but I think there is. I find them easier to walk in.
