Bummer. I am headed to Europe for the summer and was hoping this would be THE skirt to travel with. I am 5'9, 133 pounds and in my 40's. Ordered size small which fit, and size extra small which was too small. Found it to be somewhat unflattering for my body type, with a rough interior where all the ruching/elastic is installed and too long and narrow to do serious sightseeing/walking in. (Hard to take a big stride.) I thought that with walking long distance, my legs would be rubbed too much on the rough interior surface. I could see wearing it to cruise around town during the summer. I don't have the best backside and look for skirts that don't hug the bottom part of my bottom. I found this to be unforgiving of the bum. (Out of all of the "travel skirts" I ordered, The North Face - Cypress Skirt was by far the best. I liked that The Cypress Skirt was soft, flattering, and had the option to cinch up the front to change the look.) Unfortunately, XCVI Trace Back Skirt is going Back.

This is my summer go-to piece! It is comfortable, stylish and cool! I am so glad that I purchased this skirt. I found it to be a bit pricey, so I almost passed it by. I am glad that I did not. This skirt is well made and has a unique, versatile look. I wish it came in more colors; I would buy another one! If you are on the fence about this one, go for it! It runs large, so get a size smaller than you would normally wear.

This is the single best travel skirt ever and also fits the bill for run around the town situations. Fits great and shows only the best curves you’ve got. Breezy cleanup and dries quickly plus no wrinkle. Own three

This skirt is fabulous! Comfy, shows off your curves, fashionable, runs true to size...can't wait to wear it. Great length, also. Hits just below the knee. XCVI is becoming one of my favorite brands for skirts!

Fantastic skirt. I was definitely very glad that I had followed the other recommendations to buy a size down. I'm 5'2", 125 and would normally buy a S, so I went with the XS and it's still a little big. But the skirt is sylish and comfortable, easy to dress up or down, and definitely quickly becoming my summer go-to.

Beautiful skirt, very slenderizing and amazingly lightweight, but you need to wear a slip because it's so thin, it actually has some tiny holes at the shirring. Love to wear it!

For a lovely, Boho-type skirt, this one cannot be beat. It is flattering, comfortable, and easy to wear. It replaces the everyday black pants for when you feel like a girl! It does run large - the XS is a tad too big on 5'3" me, (125 pounds) but for this style it is ok.

The skirt arrived last night as I was getting ready to go out to dinner for a friends birthday. I had planned on wearing a black skirt and my husband walks in with the Zappos box so the timing was great! I took the skirt out of the box and unwrapped it super excited to see what it looked like on. I loved it right out of the box, the ruching, fabric, waist band, style....everything. It did not dissapoint when I slipped it on! Fantastic, flattering, fun and sexy skirt! The ruching is incredible and not only is flattering but hides any "imperfections". It hits just past the knee however with the style you have flexibility to hike it up a bit or pull it down a bit so length can be adjusted a bit. I felt great wearing this skirt and really just love it. I wish they had this style available in other colors. I will probably buy some more from this brand and try out some different styles. Lastly the one thing I will add is that I think it runs a tad on the large side. Normally I would order a skirt in an XL but I ordered a L. I slipped it on and there was a tiny moment when I though uh, oh, too tight. Not the case. You want it to fit just a teeny bit snug out of the box because it stretches. If it is loose when you first put it on you will have a skirt that will be too big for you! Otherwise, it is an AWESOME skirt!

This skirt is awesome! I throw it on several times a week as it is so comfortable and flattering. I have received many compliments. It runs a little large so order a size down.

Oh man, this skirt is so great. Fits like a dream, true to size, and even has just a bit of stretch so that sitting down isn't a scary proposition. The quality of the cotton is superb, and the ruched texture is super fun. I got it in black, size medium - I usually wear a size 10 and it fits perfectly. Really love the comfy jersey knit waistband.

I love this skirt! Wear it all the time! Super comfy! I agree with other reviews, it runs big. I'm a size 4, and the XS fits me.

This is a very comfortable, midi skirt. I wasn't sure about the ruching, but it is very flattering on. The stretchy waistband and fabric would even make it a decent maternity skirt, I think. Definitely order a size down.

Love this skirt! It is very comfy and flattering. I was initially wary of the ruching style but it looks great and is actually a bit slimming. It was longer than I thought it would be but that isn't really a problem. I am 5'3" and wear a size 6/8. This skirt fits really well but if you have a smaller build you may want to try a size down. I am on the hippy side so a small would have been too tight. This goes well with both boots and a sweater and I am looking forward to wearing it with flip flops in the summer!

LOVE! I own two of these skirts. They are flattering, comfortable and stylish! Easy for travel, because of the ruching, no wrinkling worries. Runs big, I would recommend ordering a size down.

This skirt is very flattering and you can wear it any where-for food shopping and for a party. I am 5'4" and 110 lbs and the XS fits perfectly. I actually own 4 XCVI Trace skirts that is how much I like them. They wash well and the cotton is lovely. It accentuates the positive. Another XCVI great style.

Okay, I got this skirt once and it was to small so I sent it back for the next size up and 3 times! I have gotten a totally different color and style than what I ordered. I did really like the skirt but it was to small, and I really wish Zappos would get their act together and figure out what the problem is so they wouldn't have to keep wasting their time and money sending me the wrong item. All I ask is for 1 skirt in a size XL. I am ordering for the 4th time so will see what happens this time!

I have to give the XCVI trace skirt the highest ranking. It is so figure flattering, just like the pants. I have three trace skirts now. Black, mango, and a heather like green. I can wear them with any top and they are soft and sophisticated. I tuck my tee shirt in or leave it out. The colors go with every top imaginable. The styling is so with it. I am 5'4" and weigh 110 pounds and always take an extra small. I am also 68 years old!

Love this skirt. I own many skirts from XCVI and this is now one of my fav's. I bought the light green and the black. Good length.

Overall...a beautiful skirt. I have received compliments and it feels so good on. Try ordering down a size. I had to go through a bit of trouble to find the right size, but that's why we love Zappos. I first ordered a large, and it fit nicely when I put it on. Within an hour of wearing around the house, it stretched out and became ridiculously too big. I am 5'3" and 160 lbs. The medium was not available so I tried a small. It was too tight to try wearing...when the medium finally became available, I got that one and am pretty happy with it. It still stretched but I think it drapes nicely on the body. I probably could have worn the small if I wanted it to be a bit more form fitting.

Stylish and cute. I am tall and a bit chubby, but the skirt flatters. I wish the material was a little thicker. I am afraid it will tear or rip within a few wears.

I ordered the similar skirt but with drawstrings and the Medium fit me perfectly (145lbs, 5ft5in) but in this style the Medium was too big. And I don't think the price difference makes it worth it. I returned this skirt and am ordering another one of the XCVI but with the drawstrings.

Looks adorable on the model, looked terrible on me. Can't really explain why, seems like it should work for a relatively slim, tallish (5'7") person, but it didn't.
