I had been shopping around for a pair of riding boots for a few months before stumbling upon these at Zappos. These shoes are perfect. They are stylish, of superior craftsmanship, and are comfortable. I've received numerous compliments for these and absolutely love them. NB: I have medium to small shins and these fit perfectly. They may run a little tight on more athletic calves.

This is a great boot! The Banana Bread color is beautiful and it's a nice change from my usual black footwear. The fit is true to size; I wear a 9.5 and it was a perfect fit. I love the way the boot hugs the leg and ankle so that you get a sleek fit. Like a previous reviewer, I purchased the Costa boot in black last year and have been very happy with my purchase. This brand does not disappoint!

Love these boots. Although I read the reviews and follow recommendations to go with 1/2 size larger; however, in my case I really just needed a size 7. Returning them for a 7.

I love these boots. The leather is gorgeous, and the color is very rich and deep. Also, I often have a problem that boots look slouchy and large, but these fit the leg perfectly. I'm so excited for the fall season so I can start wearing them!

Gorgeous boots! I have very skinny legs and looked forever for a pair of boots that don't look huge on me. These are the closest fit I've found. The fit does run a bit small and a bit narrower, so I'd order a half size up.

I just got these boots in the light brown color, love them, although they do run true to size, they are a bit narrow. These are the only riding boot I have found that my calves do not swim in, and I have just enough room to zip them with high socks and skinny jeans. Also, every time I wear them, people ask me where I got them. Love these boots!

Perfect fit with a classic look! I own a similar boot, the Etienne Aigner Costa, in black. They are walkable and perfect for my 13" calves (usually I am swimming in boots), and I can dress them up or down. But Zappos had sold out of the banana bread color by the time I'd discovered them. So I figured I'd grab the Chastity right away. The black Costas, an 8, were a little snug. So I bought an 8.5 in the banana bread Chastity so I'd have room for thicker socks. Perfect fit. Can't wait to wear them this fall.

Love these boots. I looked forever before I bought a pair of riding boots and I'm glad I chose these. The leather is great quality and they look really nice. As mentioned in other reviews, they are on the narrow side and I would say my calves are pretty small and these fit me perfectly. So if your calves are big at all, these will be too tight. I can really only fit tights or super skinny jeans in them.

I took my time buying knee-high boots online and even measured my calf because many reviewers on Zappos seemed to have problems with boots not fitting them in the calf. I am 5'5" with what I would term 'normal sized' calves and these are actually a tad large in the calf when I wear them over tights. They fit much better when I stuff jeans in them. In other words, they are not remotely small in the calf. Cute shoes, even better price.

Not sure if I will keep these boots. I normally take a 7M, leaning more toward the narrow side. I tried sizes 6 1/2 and 7. The 6 1/2 fits better in the foot but the shaft is pretty tight around my 14" calves. The 7 gives me a little more room in the calf area but is a bit big in the foot. If I keep either, it will most likely be the 7's. I like the style and think they would look great with dresses and skirts. I'm 5'7" with long legs (33" inseam for flats) and the boots are about 1 1/2 inches below the knee.

I have these in the "banana bread" color. My foot is a 9.5 narrow, and that was too big for me, so I exchanged for a 9 and it fit. However, with a 9 I cannot fit a "superfeet" arch support in it, and this boot does not have great cushioning. That said, it's great for those with slim calves and narrow feet, lovely style and good quality leather. Comes up high on the calf for us tall girls.

I love these boots. However, I have to return them because they are too tight in the calf. An inch more -- even a half an inch more and I would have kept them. I'm 5'8" and weigh 175.

I ordered this boot in the Black/Banana Bread color. The boot is made of nice leather. The foot bed was comfortable and the heel was not too high. The sole is nice and thick. The leather is supple but can scratch easily. I didn't care for the dual colors in the boot once I tried them on. I almost kept this boot, but decided to keep the Born Bitsy instead primarily because even though it fit my wide calf (16"), it was snug in the thickest part of the calf and the opening was gaping. So even though it was a wide calf...I would not be able to tuck my jeans down into the boot. I also thought the dual color was a little weird looking. But maybe that's just my taste.

I like these boots a lot. I was looking for a good pair of tall boots with not too high of a heel. I am 5'4 and they are a good height. I also have very skinny calves and these were the first ones that did were not way too wide, although they still have extra room in them. My feet are also narrow and these boots fit well. I'm only 17 and these boots were classy but no too old lady- like. I have gotten many compliments!

You'll need long legs or at least long knee to ankle ratio for these. The boot top was hitting right in the middle of my knee--had to return. Beautiful, tailored boot, though.

I originally bought these boots, but could not zip them up, as they were maybe half an inch too small. I then decided to try the wide calf and they fit well but are a little big at the very top. It seems like I am in between sizes. However I will be keeping the wide calf since they will allow room to wear jeans with them. These boots are very sleek, but very shiny and do not provide a whole lot of cushioning. I have been looking for clean, simple, well fitting riding style boots for almost two years now and this is the closest that I have come to finding what I want that is fairly inexpensive. Overall these are well made, good quality boots.

Beautiful boots! Quality inside and out is amazing. Chose the Oxford Dark Brown and they look almost black but have a nice, richness to the color. They are gorgeous. Unfortunately, they didn't fit my calves (which are "athletic") so will need to return them. Thankfully there is a wide calf option and I will definitely be reordering.

I should've read the reviews first! Chestnut is a beautiful color. Such a beautiful boot but it is not for the woman who has calves! I m 5'6" and 160 lbs. I made it up 2/3's of the way. Too bad because I really loved them. Looked great with my jeggings.

I liked the way these boots looked out of the box, but they were not at all comfortable for me. i have average-sized calves (never had a problem with boots before) but I could barely zipper these and they were tight all the way up my leg, but bunchy around the ankle. Too expensive for such a poor fit. the leather was nice, though, and the size (length) seemed true.

A little narrow in the calf, skinny jeans work best. I'm 5'1 with average calves and found them to be a bit snug to begin with. They loosened just enough after a few wears. I ordered an 8, I wear a 7.5 normally and love that I can wear thick socks with these. They hit maybe an inch or two below my knee, right where I wanted them. All in all, well worth the money and very little bunching around the ankle, which is normal. Being I am an avid equestrian I have boots meant for riding and there is no way to really avoid the bunching, you wouldn't be able to walk if there was no bunching what so ever. Very comfortable, wore them shopping one day for almost 8 hours, no foot pain at all.

Super comfortable boots! I just got them 2 days ago and I can't stop wearing them. The leather feels soft and I have skinny calves and I am not swimming in them as it is usually the case for me. I wish I could buy them in all other colors. Zappos please get more size 7 in other colors!

Beautiful boot but the shaft is soooo skinny I cannot get it zipped up. I have thin legs but a slightly muscular calf so I have to return these gorgeous boots. Also, I would go up a half size as the toe box was fairly tight.

Simple and sleek, maybe a bit too simple but I've been looking for narrow shaft black flat riding boots for months and am giving up. A possible caution for petite sizes -- the shaft is a bit high and isn't as narrow as I would like (I am 5'4" with skinny calves) but I think perhaps as they break in the ankle will slouch a bit and they won't seem so tall. But like I said, I am putting my long search to an end with these. (Thanks, Zappos, for your patience, by the way.)

These boots are too big and small! The boots definitely run large but are narrow too. It's also very tight on the calf and I couldn't fit it over jeans so I have to wear it with tights or leggings only. They are beautiful though but the fit is very strange and hard to work with.
