Every Dansko lover needs to know that these are the original Dansko Sanita made Dansko for years, so if you love Dansko, buy Sanita and you will not go wrong!

My winter Sanita clogs, that I had only a few years, disintegrated beneath my feet while going to the movies last weekend. I contacted Sanita today only to learn that some clogs will do that, get dried rot yet, I paid for the Sanita clogs. I've had a pair of winter Josef Seibel shoes since 2005 which soles are still in fabulous condition. One would think, if you are going to pay big bucks for your shoes that they should last forever and that they should be made with hi-quality, lasting materials. I won't be ordering anymore Sanita clogs in the future if they are only going to last a few seasons.

Very comfortable. Has helped a LOT with my back pain. I am on my feet all day in a concrete warehouse. They take a little getting used to - they "slide" a little on your foot when you walk. That is normal!! At first, you want to curl your toes to keep them from moving - DON'T. Let them move naturally. Walk normally. That is what makes them so comfortable. I have been wearing these for about 6 years now.

These seemed clunky at first, but after wearing them a lot, it turns out they are quite comfortable. I'm preparing to order another pair in a different color, so decided to review the shoes a couple years after buying. They still look new.

I recently switched to the Sanita Profession Oil from Dansko Professional. Side by side they are more comfortable and look a little more sleek. You just have to be aware that you need to size up from your Dansko size. I am a 7.5 (38 Euro) in most shoes but the 39 fits perfectly for this model of Sanita. The shoes have nice arch support and I can wear them all day!

Love these shoes! I'm an RN and they are perfect for my long hours. My feet don't hurt. I really like how they are less bulky than Danskos so my feet don't look huge. Also the arch support is perfect for my feet - not too high or too low. My feet measure right at a size 6 so I either buy a 6 or 6.5 size shoe and the size 37 fits perfectly.

Dansko dropped Sanita from making the actual footbed for their clogs and now they are being cheaply processed in China. Dansko will continue to lose their loyal following...bad decision. Hopefully everyone who was a loyal fan will realize that Sanita was actually the company responsible for the footbed of the clog in Europe and is now making clogs of their very own (for a few years). Guess which ones stand the test of time better.

I ordered these and the equivalent Dansko clogs, oiled leather. The Dansko ones fit OK, and then I put these on. They were absolutely marvelous! These felt so much better right out of the box than the equivalent Danskos. I did go up a size with these (40 Dansko to 41 Sanita, and I am a 9 or 9½ normally) so you might need to try that. Zappos had a great sale price too!

I LOVE this shoe. Sadly, it is a smidge short in the toes. I am typically a rock solid 39, but in this shoe, my toes were at the end of the shoe. It's a bummer because these are more comfortable than the Dansko clog I ordered at the same time. Perhaps order a half size up or get two pair to compare. In every other way, the shoe is great.

I've been a long time fan of Dansko shoes and own many pairs. The fit isn't as true to size anymore. I feel like I must order two of every style to figure out which one will fit.

I normally wear a 7.5 or 8 US, so ordered size 39, but they still seem a bit small and also pressed on the tops of my feet after 15 minutes of wear - ouch! Since this is the first pair I have ever tried, I will give another chance with a size up, since they were otherwise pretty comfortable and stylish for clogs. Also, I love the blue color, but was disappointed to be sent shoes with very noticeably scuffed toes. For the price of these shoes, I would like them not to look worn before I've worn them, please.

I have a high arch and high instep, especially right foot. Also wear a heel lift in right shoe. This shoe was too tight over the instep even without the heel lift. Returned!

Love the looks but had to return. The right shoe fit perfectly, but I could stick my finger in the extra room in the back of the left shoe. I wish Sanita still had the clog with no back: those are the most comfortable shoes I own.

I love these shoes and really didn't want to return them but my left big toe made me send them back. I had purchased Dansko's version of this shoe locally but wasn't sure they fit me correctly. I ordered the Sanita after reading the reviews to see if they were made better and if they would feel differently. I'm usually an 8.5 and had both the Dansko and Sanita in size 39 but the Dansko was a narrow, what a difference! The Dansko was too big and the Sanita too small and much more narrow. There was a slight difference in the feel of the shoe, the Sanita seemed lighter. I examined and compared the workmanship on them carefully, the Dansko was stapled and sewn more neatly. The Dansko leather has a smooth finish, the Sanita has a natural leather texture(slightly bumpy). What I really need is a half size larger Sanita for my left foot. I wore both brands around the house for hours and I agree with other reviewers, it's not necessary to break them in, although they are a very clunky stiff shoe, that you might have to get used to if you've never owned a pair. As a minister I officiate at weddings and need a comfortable shoe that looks dressy enough with my suit. The height of these would be perfect, so I'm going to try another style with a strap that might keep my toes from pressing into the top of the shoe (Sanita) or from falling off (Dansko).

Well made, solid shoes! I was sorry they didn't work out for me. The heel is quite wide and slips right off with each step. Also, they're a little clunky looking.

At first, I ordered the Dansko clogs, but then I learned that Sanita is actually the original Dansko, which is now made in China with cheaper materials. I was able to compare them myself, and the Sanita does seem more solid. My only concern is that the right shoe feels half a size smaller than the left one. I don't have that problem with any other shoes, so I don't think it's my feet. Hopefully the right one will stretch a little. If not, these are going back.

Cute and looked as expected. However, I ordered my normal size - 42 - but these felt at least a full size smaller. I could barely, barely get my feet into them so sent them back. I'm hoping the larger size 43 that I ordered fits better.

I submit this as someone who has owned Danskos for years and wanted to make a move toward the similar shoes but made in Denmark rather than China. This was my first time trying on Sanitas (my mom has a pair and loves them).
1. I followed the suggestions of other reviewers and ordered up one size. I ordered a 40 (for reference, I wear a 39 in Danskos and a 38 in Birkenstocks) and I am really glad I did because the 40s were snug on me (whereas a 39 in Danskos still allow for some room / thick socks).
2. I liked the look and the photos depict the shoes accurately but above all, I didn't find them to be as supportive as Danskos (I love the arch support that Danskos offer and the Sanitas were lacking in that regard).
I walked around the house in these for about three minutes and made the easy decision that I wanted to return them (I really wanted to love them as they're made in Denmark but alas, they didn't work for me).

This shoe runs wide! I have a regular width foot and ordered a regular width. I couldn't even keep my foot in the shoe. I may try a narrow in the future.

I really liked how these shoes looked & was disappointed when I received they did not fit. I wear a 9-1/2 most of the time & I ordered accordingly. They fit right on the foot but slipped on the heel. It would had wore a blister if I had chosen to keep so I returned. Too bad they were cute shoes. I'll try Zappos another time, have only had quality service from them!

I'm a lot frustrated at the moment. I ordered a 39 and could barely get my foot in so I returned and ordered a 40. They came today and they are too big! I know each individual pair can fit a little differently but this seems an extreme in sizes. I really like the Sanita oiled leather better than the Dansko oiled leather. I may order another 39 in hopes that I get a different, better fitting pair. I have a brown oiled leather Sanita in a 39 and love them.

I have two other pairs of these shoes but the others are the shiny leather. The soft leather run small! Just got mine in the mail and they are too short and too narrow. Also, the black, plastic heel brace has little notches along the edges that rub on my foot when I walk. I was a little disappointed with these. Is it the different type of leather that makes the same style of shoe run a whole size smaller?

I ALWAYS wear a size 39 in Sanita or Dansko closed back clogs. Can't get these on my feet. Did the sizing patterns change? Were these miss-marked? Did the fabricator make the wrong size? DISAPPOINTED! These are headed back in the mail.

As a long-time Sanitas wearer, I'm so disappointed that they have changed the cut of these clogs, which are so tight it felt like the shoe was cutting off my circulation at the top of my foot.
