Like many of you, I had a pair of Danskos that I loved to (their) death. I tried twice, wasting time and frustration, to replace them with their exact duplicates. When I received these in the mail - it was like putting my old Danskos on my feet. I received the same size in these Sanitas as my (very) old (beloved) Danskos (39), and they fit as well. The intermediary (crappy) factory made Danskos were a full size smaller, and were still somehow both too big and too short - like wearing heavy kleenex boxes. I love these.
I'm returning them, though. The left one fits so much better than the right. I'll try again some other day.

I got these in what is in American lingo an 8 1/2 wide. It seems to me that sanita only recently started making wide widths? all I know is that I did not want to get a made in China clogged.
The matte finish is really good, and I feel like these are the best looking clogs I have owned.
They feel a little tight for a wide, but I am guessing that they will stretch a bit after I've worn them more. I've worn them for about 4 long workdays. I have to say, I think they might be more comfortable than my last pair of Dansko clogs.

This particular shoe runs very small. I purchased another pair of Sanita's in the same size and they fit perfectly. They do run narrow, which works for me.

I ordered this style in the black textured oil, wide width. These were to replace some Danskos that I'd ordered through Zappos (Always thankful for their great service!) that were too narrow. It's hard to find anything comfortable in a wide width, so I was excited to try these. They were easier to get my feet into compared to the Danskos I'd tried, but just barely. I decided to take a chance and see if wearing them a few times would stretch them enough to make them fully comfortable. After the third time wearing them, I think they may eventually become a more comfortable clog with some more time. It's been painful getting them to this point, though. They have a lot more arch support than I'm used to, even though I need the support. It's a lot taller in the shoe than usual, which pushed the top of my feet above my ankles and arches into the top of the shoe more. So this is the area of the shoe I need to stretch the most and getting there has resulted in the tops of my feet bruising. If the arch support had been even a 1/16 of an inch less tall, my feet would probably have fit just right in these. Width-wise, I'm surprised these are considered a wide. They felt a little narrower than a wide, but that too is better after my third time wearing them. The leather itself is nice looking and is the type that (hopefully) will weather well over the years and tends to take on a slightly scuffed appearance, like comfortable work boots. It's not so stiff that they feel rigid; it will give some if you bend it in some places and feels soft (the Danskos I'd ordered were so stiff they felt like rocks). I'm contemplating buying this same style in the antique brown oil color, but I'll have to decide if I want to go through the agony of stretching them out as well.

I have just been through a disaster looking for a decent pair of clogs, and I have to say Zappos was fantastic. First, I ordered a pair of these Sanitas: in the past, I had found this brand to be pretty narrow without having to order narrow, but this time, I ordered a size larger (41) - as suggested by others doing reviews here - but did not order them in narrow. They were like boats. They flopped around on my feet and probably would have killed me if I had not given up and returned them. Then I ordered the same style in Danskos, size 40 in narrow. Those were huge. Narrow? I do not think so. I tried to convince myself that they would not kill me, but I gave up after walking around with them in my house for a week. All the while this was going on, Zappos was doing their best to help, and finally I ordered the Sanitas - again in 41, but this time in narrow. Bingo. I am pretty sure that these are going to work, they actually fit. Imagine that. I do not suggest ordering Danskos: I do not know where they are made these days, but their sizing is incredibly inconsistent. As to the Sanitas, well I can only only assume that I have the narrowest feet in the world (and if you saw me, you would be surprised by this), but in the end, their narrow size did work for me, even though they do run a size small. So order on size larger and if you need narrow, order narrow do not guess. That is about it.
I'd also recommend:
Alegria (although they do NOT come in narrow), Wolky, Birkenstock

These are great shoes. Compared to Dansko's professional clogs, they feel a little lighter and the narrow width tends to be a bit more narrow. However, there are clear inconsistencies between individual shoes. Both times I have ordered Sanitas one shoe has been perfect while the other has been too loose/wide. (Once it was the left and once it was the right shoe.) This should not happen because they are supposedly made by the same manufacturer as Dansko and are now machine made.
Despite the clear frustration of getting a matching pair of narrow shoes, they are good sturdy shoes. (I have to wear clogs everyday because of foot problems.) The Sanitas feel as if they break-in a bit more quickly than regular Danskos professionals.
I have a general complaint about there being SO few styles in narrow. I am very disappointed that Dansko narrows are now wider than they used to be. I wish that all of us narrow-footed clog wearers could influence the manufacturer(s) to make narrows truly narrow again and to create some fun styles in narrow in Sanitas or Danskos.

I have a high instep so even though I ordered a size up they are painful to the top of my feet. Hope they will loosen up. I have brown ones that fit so not sure why these don't.

These are great, supportive clogs but far too narrow around the join/ball of foot for me. Sadly will have to return them and opt for Danskos I think.

I usually where a size 5 women's shoe, and had found the Dansko professional clog, size 35, to be a litttle snug across the top of my foot; so for this first purchase of a Sanita Professional, I tried the 35-wide. The width is perfect, but the length is a little too long for me. I decided to keep the clogs anyway and wear them loose, but for future purchases, I will probably go with the regular width next time or go back to Dansko. Otherwise, I love the color, and the shoe feels sturdy and looks like it will last a long time. Also the Zappos delivery was speedy and reliable, as advertised.

The first time I wore these shoes I loved them (especially the added couple inches in height)! After wearing them for a whole day at work and being on my feet for long hours, however, I noticed my feet hurt quite a bit. This could be that they need to be broken into so I'll try again. Also, the finish of the shoe has tiny bumps on it which really absorb any light and so there's zero reflection which can make them look on the dull side. Not a huge deal, but not as attractive, in my opinion, as some of the other finishes in real life.

I ordered these from another site on sale for black Friday. I was excited that they make a size 43, because I wear something like an 11.5. Unfortunately they were slightly too short for me. So I agree that they run small. I have very narrow feet, so the width did not bother me, but others with wider feet might find they run narrow. I am going to try a men's size 44 narrow next and see how that works for me.

I normally wear a size 9. I ordered a 40 (which I wear in Dansko), and my heel totally slipped out of the shoe while walking, and I do not have narrow feet. I am going to try the 39 and hope it is better. I hope so, because these are lovely shoes. They are not as clunky looking as typical clogs.

Nice shoe, but too tight across the top - Made Morton's Neuroma pain worse for me. Sizing was smaller on top of the clog vs. other pair of Sanita clogs I own. I have orthotics so I can't speak for arch support.

I ordered these because I'd heard they run a bit small. These were my first clogs and am glad I read the reviews or I'd have thought they were too loose. But I am thrilled with the fit. The best part is that there was no 'breaking in' period. I chose these because I needed something that looked dressy but that I could wear while standing on my feet for 12 hours a day. They worked like a charm. The only complaint I have about them after wearing them nearly every day for nearly a year is that I wore a bald spot in the trim on the inner arch of each of the uppers. Also I've de-sueded the toecap on them somewhat, so they look a bit worn. (I'd suggest going with a non-suede-like finish for people who would find that distressing.) However, structurally, they are in excellent shape. I find that they aren't so comfy for running up and down concrete stairs, or striding through the metro area because while they have lots of support inside the shoe, there's not much cushioning there.

I had a very old pair of Danskos that these were replacing. From what I researched, the Sanitas are more similar to my old shoes. I have been pleased with them so far. The salespeople suggested that I sized up (that the shoes ran small). I did not find that to the the case. My old pair was 37 and 38 I ordered was huge. Thankfully, Zappos makes returns super easy and the 37 was a great fit. I have definitely found the leather to be quite stiff. They still have not broken in to my liking but I am sure they will eventually.

I just got these Sanita Professional oil clogs yesterday, but I'm already feeling so lucky to have bought them! I saw old brown ones on someone's feet at the doctor's office last week, and as I had tried Dansko and wasn't really sold on them, asked her about hers. I could tell she had worn them for many years. She said they were Sanita, and she liked them better than Dansko; not as hard. After reading the Zappos reviews on this particular clog, I did order a 39 rather than the 38 I generally wear in European sizing. My friend from the doctor's office said her clogs were so comfortable and they were at least 15 years old. Every shoe I wear ends up hurting my feet, so I am very excited to have these clogs and hope they turn out to be the answer to my sore feet. Thanks Zappos for being so patient with my ordering and returning, ordering and returning. You are great!

I wear a size 11 and ordered the 43, which is billed as size 12, and these were just the right length, so for me these shoes definitely ran one full size small. I was concerned that the loose heel would cause blisters in that area (I've never had a pair of closed clogs before), but no - very comfortable to have my heels rising and falling in the shoe, which I didn't expect. I didn't find any instability in the heel region - no twisting, and the soles of the heels don't feel narrow to me. I found them very easy to walk in overall. I got these so I could do a specific work task that involves standing in one place for a couple hours at a time, and they feel great on feet and legs for that. No leg or foot soreness at all, even after a couple hours of standing. They didn't help quite as much with the sore back I get from standing that I had hoped they would, but it's better than with other shoes I've tried for this task. The one downside was that although the left shoe fit perfectly, the band across the top of the right shoe at the opening is unpleasantly tighter than the one on the left. I think this will mold some, but I took off a comfort star because of it. Stylewise, well, they're clogs, and they look like it - they won't be winning any "edgy fashion statement of the year" awards! But I'm overall pleased with the purchase. Also very pleased I got Sanitas instead of Danskos - I tried on the Dansko equivalent of these in a local shoe store and didn't find them comfortable at all.

These are nowhere near the color online!
The ones I got are much lighter in color and this is why I may send them back. Love the style tho!

Fit was good except for the instep, the instep is too low and made it hard for me to get my feet in the clogs.
Sanita need to do something about the instep and make more or all of their clogs available in Wide options.
Unfortunately, I have to send them back.

Absurdly undersized. I've worn 39 size clogs for >20 years, mostly of the Dansko brand. The ones that arrived must have been 2 sizes too small at least as I couldn't even put my toes in the shoe. I'm taking note and ordering a size or two larger next time.

Great looking clog and they fit almost perfectly. One of the heel cups was stretched quite drastically compared to the other resulting in the shoe slipping as I'd step. Returned and ordering a new pair, hopefully w/o the same issue.
