Let me start by saying, I've never written a review on shoes before. However, after all the trouble I've been having and I had to write a review about a pair of shoes that finally put a smile on my face. I started a new job and for some reason, I could not find shoes that fit just right. At my old job I was allowed to wear dress casual, and I never had problems finding dressy shoes that looked comfortable. Now I wear a suit and need dress shoes but still demand the comfort. I tried a bunch of different brand names and none of them worked. Many of them were too tight or they have the long pointy look these days. I like traditional styles --- long and behold and I found the Bostonian Mendon. This is actually the first day I'm wearing them and I just had to write a review. Not only are they dressy enough for a suit but they also have full rubber bottoms (which I've always been a big fan of). Rubber bottoms help with the rain, and give an overall spring to your step. Next, the entire shoe conforms to your foot from the second you put them on. The Flex lite insole is like a soft trampoline. The shoe is extremely light and soft all over. This is the lightest, most comfortable shoe I have ever put on my feet. You don't realize how heavy some shoes are. I think I just become a Bostonian fan. Thanks Zappos!

My Mendons have been super comfortable, extraordinarily light. I tend to get rub spots, but never went through that with these shoes. On the other hand, the soles only survived 10 months of wear. Granted I wore them almost every day as a work shoe, and often as a dressier casual shoe, but at this point the soles have gone spongy. And when I say spongy, I mean that one of the soles has literally started absorbing water, leaving distinct shoe-shaped footprints on tile and carpet for 20-30 paces. Wish I could find something equivalent, but 30% more durable.

I like them. Good Fit. Felt true to size for dress shoes. I highlight that because my dress shoes, slip on's are 1/2 size smaller then my gym shoes, etc. Buy the size dress shoe that you regularly wear.

I bought these shoes about a year and a half ago because they were airport friendly. I liked that they were light and comfortable. Now I am a convert. I just went to look for a dressier pair of shoes and Bostonian Flexlights were the only ones that I could consider, I am spoiled. These shoes just feel great. And they look good, too!

It's a comfy shoe that is great to wear if you need to be moving a lot everyday. Loved the padding at the bottom as it felt like a cushion that supported me well.

I'm not normally a brand loyalist, but I've bought this same pair of shoes from Zappos once a year for the past four years. You can't go wrong with these.

I am very disappointed in these shoes. After day one some of the leather started to rub off. The shoes feel very cheap and this confirms it. The color is not what is pictured. It is much lighter - more red. The color makes them look a lot cheaper as well. Over all I am very unhappy with these shoes and will be returning them. I do not recommend these to anyone due to the lack of quality.

TOTAL WASTE. DON'T BUY THESE PLEASE. The upper looks nothing like the real leather one the web-site, but it looks totally like cheap-synthetic that all people around me thought these shoes not worth the cost.

Anyone sees this, please DON'T EVERY BUY IT. IT IS TOTAL WASTE, NOT WORTH. Buying these was my BIGGEST MISTAKE in YEARS. The leather upper look pretty nice on this website, but what I got is very cheap-nothing-like-leather looking, almost everyone around me practically laughed at.

These are not good shoes. The bottoms are slick and they feel like cheap shoes but they are not. They look ok but that is about it.

My husband really likes how light they ate. Worn rhem about two weeks now and says they are pretty comfortable to wear all day.

Excellent shoes. Outstanding comfort and support. I use them for trade show walking.

This is my second pair. They are very comfortable from the first time I put them on. They wear well and can be polished easily.

Shoes are stylish and fit true to size. Pretty comfortable for a dress shoe and for the price you're not going to find a better shoe. I would recommend this shoe for sure.

I have to say, I didn't expect these shoes to be as good as they are; they're an extremely good value for the price. I'm a frequent business traveler, and have previously spent significantly more on similarly styled shoes from Ecco and other brands. However, after a knee injury, I found I needed something that came in wider widths to offer a little more stability (I can get away with a D in some shoes but really should wear wider). I mostly bought these because they were stylish, slip-ons, and available in EE width. The sole is rubber, and is fairly grippy, but is styled similarly to a leather sole. A year and a half later, they are still my primary dress shoes, and don't look much worse for the wear. They are surprisingly lightweight -- I know that is one of their primary selling points, but it's kind of surprising. I'm a big man and usually hard on shoes, but these are in great condition. I'll definitely be considering more Bostonians in the future (and not just because I live in Boston)!

Most comfortable dress shoes I have own. The pair is soft, light weighted, and nicely supported. The color is a little brighter than the picture. I hope it could be made a little darker. Overall I am satisfied with this pair. Love it.

I bought these for a 12 year old and he loves them they are very comfortable. He measured between an 8 1/2 and a 9. I got the size 9 but it was probably too narrow the 9 1/2 worked better. Great style.

I've owned three pairs of these shoes - they're great. I wear them almost every day for work, and occasionally as a dressier casual shoe, and they consistently last a little over a year for me. They are incredibly light, and the sole holds up very well. Highly recommended.

Simple but good looking. They fit good, if a hair on the large side. I still can't get my dog to fetch them but, as of yet, I don't think that's a problem with the shoe.

A very nice shoe in the "Rockport" style. Super lightweight and plenty of support. Seemed a bit tight for me at 13E primarily at the elastic tongue. If you have a high arch you will be uncomfortable at first, but with just a little stretching actually fit wonderful. Wore them today for the first time and brought my sneakers in case they got painful as new shoes will due sometimes. They only felt better as the day went on. I am online looking for another pair in brown and decided to share me experience by writing this review. I am a very big guy, (close to 300 pounds) and these are like wearing slippers with good support. Highly recommend.

These were comfortable from the moment I put them on out of the box. Run true to size. I am looking to buy a second pair in a different color.

Very happy with these shoes so far. The fit is great and they are very comfortable. Very good arch support (normally I wear orthotics but they aren't needed with these shoes).

The ordering process was simple and easy to use. Couldn't be happier with this shoe. This is my 2nd Bostonion Mendon, the lightest and most comfortable slip-on shoe that can be worn with a suit or dressed-down casual.

Fantastic shoes. Quality product, fits well, very light. My son wears them every day for school.
