At first I didn't think the shoe fit right because there were gaps on both sides. I wasn't comfortable. The gaps look stupid but after wearing them for a while, I'm adjusting to the look and I admit they are comfortable. I think someone should adjust the width to solve the gap problem. One plus...you can take out the arch supports and scrub them with a mild cleaner!

They squeak! Not at first, but after 2-3 months they have started to squeak loudly when I walk. I loved them so much I bought three pair in different colors. They feel good and they are cute but they are so embarrassing to to wear that they stay in the closet. I also had a problem on the tan pair - the faux suede chipped off. I sent one pair back after only a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, the second pair did the same.

I wanted something more substantial than a ballerina flat for walking in the city. These are supportive, but after an hour of wearing, they rubbed badly at the heel and at the strap. They're also slightly more bulbous than I expected them to be. I'll try to break them in and still plan on wearing them for walking.

The arch support is great like all Orthoheel shoes but there is very little cushioning in the sole. That is very painful in my plantar fasciitis heel. I had to return them.

Comfortable shoe. But very noisy. After fourth wearing, I'm embarrassed to wear the shoes unless outdoors because of the noise one shoe makes in the heel area.

I have very flat feet with resulting tendon problems and have worn nothing but Orthaheel shoes for about two years now. I have had very good luck with only two exceptions. The first is that the shoes are always too wide for me. I have to pick styles with adjustable straps for them to fit. Second, I have worn a pair of the Mary Janes non-stop until the stitches at the heel seam began coming apart. I loved these comfy shoes and ordered a replacement pair for vacation, only to find out the material/style has been changed. They are now made of a mesh type, more casual looking material, and they don't fit as well. By the time I reached my destination, I was very uncomfortable.. I'll be calling when I return home to see what can be done. I'll still buy Orthaheels in the future.

I've been wearing these shoe for at least six months. I wear them a lot as I wear a lot of blue. They are very comfortable especially with the arch support. I have two complaints, however. First, the shoes squeak. Second, the finish has worn off the side of the strap toward my leg. I've never seen this happen before on any shoes I've bought. It detracts significantly from the shoe's appearance. I'm wondering what could cause this and whether anyone else has had this experience.

I have wide feet, so I was not sure about these shoes. They did not end up fitting me (the strap is Velcro, and just barely stuck together when my fat foot was in the shoe - I knew it would not work out). They are great shoes, just not for my feet. I wish they had widths.

Not after I first wore these shoes, I noticed a scuff mark on the toe of the left shoe in the suede-like material. I tried to clean it with a block for cleaning nubuck, but the mark got bigger. Now I have a light gray scrape on the toe half an inch long and a quarter of an inch wide. Except for this suede cloth, which seems excessively fragile, I like the shoes a lot.

Unfortunately, I am returning these cute shoes. Finding shoes with good arch support and narrow heels is nearly impossible. I've taken to wearing Mary Janes almost exclusively because the strap helps keep shoes on my feet. In this case, my foot slipped out of the heels with the first step and I couldn't tighten the strap enough to solve the problem. Manufacturers have completely forgotten those of us who need a B/AA, AA/AAAA, etc. Bring back those good ol' days!

These shoes are big and floppy. I love my Orthaheel Tide flip-flops, but the Arcadia's aren't working for me. Too wide and floppy. Maybe I should've sent them back for 1/2 size down. Bottoms a little flimsy. Can feel rocks and bumps underfoot.

I ordered 2 Orthaheel shoes Arcadia Mary Jane style and the Melissa clog. After wearing the shoes (very comfortable despite my various problematic feet issues)indoors for two days, I thought it was safe to wear them outdoors. The Melissa clog continued to fit comfortably and were satisfactory. However, after wearing the Arcadia Mary Jane style shoes outdoors for three hours the bottom sole of the left shoe became unglued and flopped with every step I took. Poor quality workmanship and/or quality control. Returning the Orthaheel Arcadia shoes - disappointed, but lucky that I made it back to the car without falling.

I purchased these comfortable shoes a little over a month ago and I noticed after the fourth or fifth time wearing them that they were looking a little scuffed up. Upon looking more closely, I found that the shoes were not only scuffed on the toes, but the material is gone in some areas, leaving a white contract to the black shoe. However they remain comfortable and they are definitely helping my plantar fasciitis to heal.

I have had plantar fasciitis and now have it under control so I am very careful to wear shoes that are supportive and that I can use my own insoles etc. with. These are way to lightweight and do not offer support. I had thrown away the box so couldn't return them so I gave them away.

Overall nice looking shoe, but a little tight around the throat, especially over big toe joint. Note: Arch support is definitely positioned too far back. Wish it would have fit.

Sadly, I have to return these shoes. Like another reviewer said, they dug into the back of my heels. I would have to wear bandaids, and I don't want that. They were stiff, too, and I wasn't confident that they'd give me all day comfort like the rest of my Orthaheel shoes do.

While these shoes have good arch support, the minimal coverage on the sides does not support the foot. My foot collapses when I walk, and by trying on these shoes I learned that my foot needs more side support than a Mary Jane provides. The toe area was also a little too narrow for my feet in the medium width. I returned them.

Cute shoes and very comfortable - Orthaheel brand really works for me. The reason for the low rating is because during my third time wearing them (unfortunately while I was traveling overseas) the rubber sole began peeling back from the shoe! By the time I returned for the day the sole had peeled back about 1/3 of the way from the top/front of the shoe and had begun flapping when I walked a ridiculous trip and fall hazard. I'm going to try and glue the sole back to the shoe.

I must say NO arch support because the arch hits me in the heel. The design of the shoe won't let me place my heel all the way back in the shoe. If I take the insole out and just stand on that, it feels great! I am returning them.

The footbed in this style was not enough support and the hard rubber sole is really noisy on solid surface flooring. I will return these.

The old version of this shoe was really good. They recently redesigned slightly and are using different materials which are subpar to the old ones. The area around the toe wears really quickly because the material is cheap. I'm really sad that my favorite shoe has been ruined.

Could not give these a 5 star because the strap is too short and you have to be so careful to make sure it makes contact completely with the velcro. If not, you can be walking along and it comes unstrapped and trip on it. :( I have about 10 pairs of the Orthaheel shoes and these are the first ones I have had any problems with.

Returning this one. There is no arch support in this style; felt like I was barefoot which hurts when you have p.f. I recently purchased two other styles, a mule and tide sandal which I love.

These are very cute shoes, but they do not the great arch support as in the Tide sandals and the Sasha mules. Orthaheel made a big difference between shoes with inserts and solid footbeds. The Tides are the greatest, but the Arcadia Mary Jane is lacking big time in total support. I wish they would make more shoes with a solid built in footbed, and also closed toe sandals would be nice. I walked about two minutes in the house with these Mary Jane and knew right away that they would not going to work at all like the Tides do. Thanks to Zappos for wonderful service.

This shoe fits my post-surgical, plantar fasciitis foot like a dream. I can walk with great arch support, width in the bunion area, and no pain. I would like to have the black and brown pair, also. But, why will I not order another pair? The squeak! I cannot wear these to work or church because of the noise that these shoes make. This probably sounds amusing, but it's not at this price. So, the company will lose a future sale and I will lose because I found a great walking shoe that I won't reorder.
