Super high quality. Good buy. I usually wear a 10.5, I had to size down to a 10. The 10 fits great.

I love this shoe, I receive many compliments. However given the last that was used I could only get a 7.0 and had to use heel stays for it to stay nice and snug on my foot. Alas, this is a very nice casual, sturdy, and rock hard shoe. If you know Allen Edmond's Quality then you will more than likely like this shoe. It does feel slightly larger than marked.

I'm a big Allen-Edmonds fan and not because my feet are hard to fit; I just think the craftsmanship and quality is superior to other dress shoes at this price point. I needed a black wingtip and the red accent soles are what caught my eye. I can (and do) wear these with suits and can easily dress them down with jeans. The fit is spot on, as always with Allen-Edmonds.

These shoes are fantastic. Very distinctive (the color is awesome) and as such have received numerous compliments. They fit great out of the box and are very comfortable. Would love AE to crank out more shoes like this.

Classic shoe, appropriate for business attire or jeans. Run 1/2 size drop from my regular size. Beautiful craftsmanship with the infused black leather, brown leather sole and stitches.

Just what I had been looking for and a lot less then Alden's Equivalent. I first ordered a size 11 reading that the shoe ran large but returned for my true size 11.5 which fit perfectly. They are not a "light" shoe feeling very substantial. They are stylish enough for a thirty something or a late Sixty something (me).

Lovely shoes. Beautiful quality. Despite their exquisiteness, I put rubber sole protection on the soles immediately. The photo shows the shoes a little bit more red than they actually are (for the Dark Brown Cognac leather), but it's pretty accurate. The shoes were a little narrow, but the leather is expanding as I wear them. Just lovely.

Great pair of shoes! Sharp looking, and amazingly comfortable. Match perfectly with any black/gray suit. Have had these shoes for almost a year and even though I wear them regularly, they've held up 100%.

First pair of Edmonds...better than expected. Very fine construction, good leather, arch support, overall comfort. Definitely worth spending a bit more for this quality.

These shoes are beautiful and of the great quality you would expect from Allen-Edmonds. I've had them about six months now, and the only reason I didn't give 5 stars on comfort is that they are still a little stiff. I wouldn't want to walk all day in them until (or unless) they break in more. I've received a lot of compliments.

I purchased an 11.5D in Cognac. Depending on brand of shoe, I range from 11 to 12. Color: as pictured, rich and deep brown. Fit: Snug at first and a bit tight where the toe box begins. Easily broken in with a few wears. Buy some good, thin cotton socks and a shoe horn. Comfort: Stiff at first, it is leather. Style: Classic look with dress trousers or step up your casual look with jeans. Other: I originally ordered an 11D but it was way too snug in the heel. I sometimes feel like the 11.5D might be a bit sloppy with thinner socks. I wonder if an 11E might have been the way to go? I suggest going to a AE dealer to get a proper fit, if possible.

Beautiful shoe in every way. Looks like it will last a lifetime. Great dressed up and even better with jeans.

These are beautiful shoes. Made on the 65 last, which is long and somewhat narrow. Roomy toe box, well-fit heel. I have a slightly narrow foot, and the D width is just right. I love AE shoes. Fit, finish, quality. All top-tier for a US-made shoe. AE is the "baseball glove" of shoes, as they get better with age. Once they are well worn-in, AE will replace soles, replace heels, replace welting, replace cork layer under insoles, replace laces, and refinish the uppers, all for a reasonable price. So, basically a new shoe that is already fit to your foot. Win.

Head hanging low...not because of these shoes, on the contrary...the are so handsome you can't help but look down at them. You will stand taller because they are that superior. Nice to know American pride still exists. Quality you can smell from the leather to the stitching.

Great shoe. I own three pair of the Mctavish and several other Allen-Edmonds shoes--one pair I've had for 15 years. They last a long time and are very comfortable.

Great looking shoe. Great look with jeans. Problem is it's narrower than all my other Allen Edmonds. I'll be getting it in the right size.

A very high quality shoe. I took the advice of another reviewer and got them a half size smaller. Even with the smaller size, I could get away with a thick sock.The Cole Haan Air Madison Wing Oxford is another shoe I own which I like better as it is much lighter and more comfortable.

Potentially beautiful shoe, but the leather was scraggly, damaged, and unfinished along the tongue split and foot socket. Really sad. It looks like I was shipped a "second" shoe. There is no way this should have passed through quality control unless the person was blind. The heel cup is quite loose as well with no taper so a heel insert would be necessary. (I have standard shaped feet.) I wish I could post a picture. Real fail. Overall, I was quite disappointed in the quality of the product for a shoe at this price. I guess I will exchange them, but am tempted to simply return them.

Beautiful pair of shoes. Really. They are very handsome. Yet, I gave up on my pair and returned them. The issue is that they were very tough to break in - way more than other AE shoes. Also, with their double soles, they are very heavy. Maybe I'm a small guy, but they just felt huge on me. I saw them on another guy who was much taller and they seemed a lot better proportioned. Try them out. They are great shoes, but mine (8.5D) just didn't seem to work.
