These are very comfortable shoes and I am able to use my orthotics for plantar fasciitis under their insole. I am an older person and for some reason my kids and grand kids seem to think these are strange looking shoes! I don't think so but maybe?

These are actually slip-on shoes, fake laced, if you will. Very comfortable under the foot, not so comfortable around my ankles (the walls of the ankle area were high and the "fake" tongue of the shoe was a little mismatched for my feet.

This is a cute shoe that I really wanted to like but in the end decided to return them. It's true the shoe is like a slip-on; however, the laces can be tightened to make the shoe more snug. The design is cute in a 'retro-bowling-shoes' look, but something about the long white toe box bothered me, like I knew it would get scuffed a lot. The heel is the strange part; it is very narrow and kind of rolls. I twisted my ankle just trying them on. While the inner shoe is quite comfy (it is Dr. Scholl's after all), I tend to like shoes with more support around the base.

Such a cute shoe, however, returning it as it is likely the most uncomfortable sneaker I've ever attempted to wear in my life. The back rubs against your heel and is almost impossible to wear. After several occasions of trying to "break" this shoe in within the confines of my home, I still cannot wear them long enough to think about wearing them beyond the 10 minutes around the house I can barely stand.

Dr. Scholl's has ruined a great shoe. I have at least 5 pairs of the old version of this show from last year. These used to be very comfortable and now they are stiff and the back is too high so it rubs on the back of my ankle. I will not be buying any more.

I'm not sure how I missed it, having looked at the photos and read the reviews carefully before order, but I did not really understand this whole no-tongue thing until I took them out of the box (I've looked and the Zappos photo has the laces tucked back just where one would expect the tongue, creating a bit of an illusion). Look closely at the Navy color photos, it's the only one where you can clearly see how the rim goes all around and fit like a little bootie just below the ankle. I didn't like this at all, it felt very constricting. I also felt extremely unstable walking on these due to the slightly rounded sole (look at the back view photo and you'll see what I mean). That was surprising, but I really felt like I'd roll my ankle easily in these. The polka dot print was cute, but I knew these had to go back within seconds of putting them on.

They look cute, but unfortunately do not live up to the hype of other reviews. They were a tiny bit on the short side and I always have to purchase bigger than I wear (slightly larger than a 10.5 but not quite an 11). They were a bit wide, but I do have very narrow feet. The tongue of the shoe is sewn into the shoe and if you tighten the laces is puckers and looks bad and I am sure would rub. There as absolute no arch support! This was completely disappointing! Cute, but they not supportive.

I was so excited to get this shoe based on all the great reviews & it looks so cute on-line. I love casual sneakers with jeans & thought these would be great. They were awful. First, the fit is simply bizarre. It felt like my toes were higher than my heel - almost as if the shoes were on a reverse incline. Also, it felt like there was no arch support at all. I know this can't be the case because they are Dr. Scholls but it certainly felt like it. When I simply stood in these shoes it felt like my feet were falling in toward each other at the arches, almost like my knees would knock together & the toes were higher than the heel - when I walked I felt like a duck! In addition, the look of the shoe was much more of an orthopedic look than they look on-line. The toes are wider than the heel by a noticeable amount (more so than normal) & I thought they just looked odd. All in all, very disappointed, they are going back. 2 stars was a kindness on my part, but I did really like the gel insole (though I can buy those at the store & slip them into a cuter shoe).

These are a slip on type shoe. The laces are only for decoration. The tongue is attached. I couldn't even get these on my foot so I can't answer to any of the categories. I'm so disappointed. But with Zappos great return policy, there's no hassle.
