Both boots started leaking after the second season when I was standing on a lake in three inches of slush and water. My feet were soaked for the six hours that I could bear on our fishing trip but even worse was the condescending excuse a Baffin representative gave me on how the seam between the upper and lower boot is prone to water seepage and not considered "manufactures defect". Save yourself some serious grief, this $200 waterproof boot DOES NOT keep your feet warm and dry.

First off, let me say that I'm a 61 y/o woman, usually wear size 9 but took the 7 in mens. This boot is so far superior in craftmanship to the women's snow boots I sampled...even the Baffin women's snow boots! Won't go into a litany of why manufacturers think women don't deserve or would appreciate the same level of quality and features they put into men's clothing. Another story for another time... THESE BOOTS ARE AWESOME! Granted, not stylish in the least, but checked all the boxes I was looking for: warmth, waterproof, good traction and lightweight. These boots cradle my feet in snug (not tight), pillowy comfort. My feet go numb after 10 minutes of snow shoveling or just walking...these kept my feet toasty (not sweaty) warm on a 17 degree day. Fantastic traction and grip on snow or ice! They're very easy on and off, AND...an extra added surprise...there's and adjustable inner cuff that in effect transforms the calf height boots into knee high boots! This inner nylon cuff is tucked away like a roll up rain hoodie and has its own bungee toggle...they call them gaiters, but they are very effective in keeping the snow out! Highly recommend (men or women!)...try them...with Zappos' fast delivery and easy returns, what have you got to lose?

I wear a women's 10.5 wide and I need some arch support. It is very difficult to find shoes that fit. Every shoe maker has different lengths and widths to go with their version of a size 10.5 shoe. It is disappointing that Zappos and the shoe manufacturers cannot come up with standardized sizing that reflects width and length the way that some blue jeans makers do. For example if you asked my husband what size pants he wears he would say, "I have a 33" waist and a 34" inseam". Why can't we have shoe sizes that are 28 centimeters long by 11 centimeters wide (at the ball of the foot)?
That being said, I ordered women's and men's boots from Columbia, Baffin, Sorrel, Kamik, Propet and Pajar. Here are my thoughts:
-Men's Columbia boots are better made then Women's Columbia boots, they have better lining/padding, better arch support and sturdier materials. The women's are more attractive. Both Men's and Women's Columbia boots in medium width are too narrow for me. The Women's wide were wider then the medium but not wide enough. The men's wide were wider but not by much. The Bugaboot III Wide is on my short list of desired boots, but I need one size up and they are currently out of stock. It was a little stiff but had good warmth/lining and good arch support.
-Baffin boots were dreamy comfy. Amazing lining; soft and warm. Sturdy exterior, not too heavy. Sadly, these boots run almost 2 sizes smaller then the average boot. So, if you are looking at trying the Baffin I would recommend sizing up at least 1.5 sizes up.
-Sorel boots have some good features, but not all Sorels are made equal. I ordered both the Caribou Wool and the 1964 Pac Nylon. The Caribou Wool was by far more comfortable and warm. Please note they also seem to run small, consider sizing up. I ordered the D width and found them on the narrow side. I am exchanging for a size up and hoping to gain a little more wiggle room in the width. Fingers crossed.
-Propet women's boots were cute and I appreciated the width that they offered. If you have wide feet and width is your biggest concern I would recommend giving these a try. I did find them lacking in arch support and lining for warmth. But a thumbs up for style.
-Kamik men's boot were interesting but also did not find the arch support I was looking for.
-Pajar boot - I ordered at men's 42, they were too small but I liked their potential so I am exchanging for size 43. I really wanted to try the 44 but for some reason in both styles they were out of 44. Finger crossed for the 43 to fit.
I hope that overview helped. I really appreciate the comments that other people write. It helps me figure out whether or not to give a shoe/boot a try. Thanks to everyone out there that takes a minute to write feedback. It is a big help!

I wear a womens 11 but since most boots need a size bigger I wound up getting a mens boot. I ordered a mens 9 and 10 and sat around the house with them on for awhile and finally decided I should keep the 10s because you don't want your feet too snug in boots since that can make your feet get cold easier. However, the first day I wore them snowmobiling I noticed a fair amount of slop in the boots, ie I should have kept the 9s instead of the 10s. They are still very comfortable boots and I'll just be looking for some really thick socks. Selecting the wrong size aside, these are great boots, I love how you can easily cinch up the laces and secure them easily and quickly via the drawstring. Ditto for the top drawstring. They also have a gator that rolls up which I doubt I'll ever use, but it's a cool feature nonetheless. And they are comfy cozy and kept my feet warm. So two thumbs up!

I purchased these for my son. He absolutely love them. They are warm, comfortable and just what he needed to be warm when working outside and riding his snowmobile.

My feet are an 11 or 11-1/2. WIDE. I usually buy a 12 for a little extra room. I probably should have gone with an 11 or 11-1/2 because there is plenty of room in the size 12 Baffin Icebreakers that I just bought, even with my wide foot. These were purchased for ice fishing SE and Mid-Michigan. I haven't had them on the ice yet, but they sure do feel nice!!

Rated for -94°? Hope I never get anywhere near that. They seem comfortable and warm, if they work at 0° for ice fishing and snowmobiling I will be very happy with them. I wear size 12, had to return and move to 13, but free next day shipping, free returns, it was not a problem and I am very happy with Zappos. I bought boots from one of the big outdoor retailers before, they did not fit, returned and got larger, I still did not like them so I returned them and got a different style, that did not fit well, I returned those.

Actually live in SC and bought these boots, not for ice fishing, but for sitting at the high school football games. Really great boot for everyone, but if you are in the times of getting a little older and want to keep your feet warm, buy these boots. Only need a regular pair of socks, no thick or double pairs. Very light weight. Easy on and off. Do order one size larger than normal. I wear 13 and had to send back for size 14. Will order again if ever needed.

I’m a size men’s 10.5 D normally. Purchased size 11 and my toe was right up to the front of the toe box. Returned 11 because no 12 was available. Checked back a week later and 12 was in stock. Bought the 12 and they fit comfortably. Probably have room for a heavy sock too.

Even though the boots have written size 10, both were not the same size.

Super comfortable, super warm. I LOVE these boots. I am a 60 year old woman with severe Raynauds so I wanted the warmest boots available. I usually wear a women's 10, so I got an 8 in mens. My foot is low volume/not bulky or high arch and these fit great.

Best boots I have ever owned. Very warm, very comfortable and light weight. I am a 61 year old woman with severe Raynaud's. I take my dog to the beach on Lake Michigan almost daily, and stand there for about an hour. So far the lowest temp has been 10 F and my feet were quite comfortable. I tried women's Snogoose and Impact styles thinking they would be easier to put on and take off than a style with a lot of laces, but both pairs felt narrow, and the heels slipped terribly. The icebreaker style has laces that extend very low so my heels don't slip at all. Plus, despite all the laces, they are still super quick on and off since the fit so well, I don't even bother with the laces.
Even though this is a man's style, and I have low volume, not at all bulky feet, they fit well.

These are like wearing an incredibly comfortable couch on your feet. Super warm and comfortable. My son wore them for 5 hours outside in -9F weather. No complaints.

I was debating between several baffin boots (eiger, snow monster etc). Since most did not come in my size, I tried the icebreaker which turned out to be phenomenal. Regarding size, I typically wear a 10.5 and ordered an 11. They fit great! Little wiggle room to allow for thicker socks...the 10 would have been too small. Surprisingly light weight compared to the reviews on other boots. Can’t say you can drive in them, but wouldn’t say it’s entirely impossible. If your on the fence about which baffin snow boot too choose, I’d say the icebreaker will not disappoints. Especially the price compared to say, the Eiger which were ~$50 more.

Comfortable and warm. Tested in house but my foot, in thick socks felt pinched. Trying the next size up of these otherwise great boots!

I just got these and so far, they are great. I usually wear a size 8½, so I ordered a 9. One foot is a little snug but I think they will be fine once broken in.

Keeping his feet warm. Good fit, size 12.
His only criticism is they are not easy to quickly remove and put back on when bringing firewood inside our home.

Bought these for my husband and he loves them. We had trouble finding a boot that was comfortable, warm and high enough in deep snow. These fit the bill on all accounts. He feet are warm even at -30 so far. No complaints. He loves these boots!
