I like these shoes because they are soft and conforms to your foot. It feels like you aren't even wearing a shoe, but still absorbs the shock of the floor. According to researchers, you use less oxygen when you wear a lighter shoe. Ideal for African dancing. Also, it has good ankle support. Personally, I would recommend ordering a half size bigger than your street shoe as to prevent toe cramming after wearing it for an extended period of time. I like them and I do intense West African dancing three to four times a week.

These shoes are so lightweight! I love them! They even come with different colored laces. My only complaint is that it appears that Capezio is no longer true to size. Had to exchange for a half size larger.

Love the shoes. Many friends have asked where I got them. Would recommend buying 1/2 size larger than you usually wear. Mine are a little short. They are great for zumba and Jazzercise.

After trying four other styles of shoes recommended for Zumba, I finally found the perfect shoes for me in Capezio Brite Lights Dancesneaker. They are very lightweight and comfortable, but with lots of ankle and foot support, which I needed. The soles are great for dancing, allowing for turns and swivels without slipping or sticking to the floor. I just purchased a second pair to hold in reserve. These shoes do run small. I normally wear a size 8½-9 and ordered a 10 which fit perfectly.

I ordered a full size bigger and it fit perfect! Great for zumba moves but the split sole is hard to get used to. I've had them a month and still not sure I like the split sole. Fit and ability to slide in glass is good though.

I love my Capezio Brite Lights Dancesneakers because of the high ankle support and the snug fit with the ankle strap and the arch support. They are very comfortable when dancing. The only bad thing is, that I forget to take them off when I finish practicing or dancing, they fit like a glove. I am seriously thinking about purchasing another pair.

This shoe and I could have had something great. Alas, I usually wear an 8, and seeing that you should order a size larger, I looked for a 9, but it wasn't there. I thought perhaps the 8.5 might work, so I ordered it, but man they are tight. So cute (LOVE that they include green, pink, silver, and black laces!), so lightweight, and the sole is perfection -- but just too dang small. And there's still no 9. Oh well. Back they go, and I'll have to see if I kind find something else I like that actually will fit.

Don't like this shoe for jazzercise, because the split sole plus poor arch support let my feet supinate. On top of that, the sole feels really thin for dancing on concrete and laminate floors. Ankle support is great. The 8.5 fits my skinny 7.5 well enough, but the supination is too risky. Going back to Ryka.

I have weak ankles and wide feet and would normally wear a 5 or 5.5, but because my feet are wide I usually have to go up a half size to fit into some shoes. I ordered a size 6. When I first put them on they felt pretty roomy in the toe and my feet fell into both parts of the split sole just fine. However, when I put them on and tightened the laces it pulled my foot into the back of the shoe which pulled my toes just slightly out of the front section of the sole. So when I went to Zumba class I almost turned my ankle because I naturally (but not intentionally) put pressure on the edge of the front sole and almost fell. Don't know if the high top saved me but I got lucky. Also the first split sole shoes I've tried. It's really a shame because these shoes have a great texture for turns and spins in Zumba but are a horrible fit for wide feet or if you need arch support because there is absolutely none. Also, they may be a little slippery if you're doing a runners stretch for example. If you have narrow feet, these will probably work great for you!

These are amazing shoes! Thanks, Capezio, for getting it right! They do run true to size even though you will hear many reviews encouraging you to go half a size up. The shoes need to fit snug in the arch if you will be doing tendus or any kind of classical dance. If the shoes are half a size larger it is harder to get that great pointe. Perhaps if you are doing aerobics or a fitness class that does not require foot articulation and just cannot stand the form fitting sneaker then opt larger by all means. Overall for dance these sneakers are a big yes!

I am a Costa Rica Zumba Instructor, so before I buy this sneakers a read a lot, I mean I was buying from a diferent country I couldn-t go wrong, so I decided for this Capezio Brite Lights Dancesneaker and was the perfect choice. Just amazing, I do get one size more than usual as I read and fit just perfectly, they are just amazing, it feels like dancing in a cloud.

Capezio Brite Lights sneaker is excellent choice for me. I have been looking since 2010 zumba high shoe in larger size than an 11m that has support on my ankles with a style. I am a zumba dancer fanatic and go to class 6 days a week. Overall this is a 5 star shoe and ready to buy a Capezio Brite Light in red, purple and a multi color in a larger size 12 medium. Thank you Zappos.

Love these for zumba, I will say they don't last very long, stitching is fraying, threading too and vinyl glue coming up, but they are great ankle support especially with side to side motion, and great pivot point on ball of the foot. I do put my orthotics in because there is no arch support at all! I like the mesh, gives feet air to breathe. Don't expect them to last past 6 months, which I guess you should be changing shoes out at that point anyway.

Perfect Zumba shoes. Lite weight, flexible, comfortable. New, they are slippery on dance floor. Roughing up the sole on concrete sidewalk helps. For a perfect fit, bought one size larger than normal.

These have been effective in supporting a birth defective foot and enabled me to continue "Zumba" fitness classes that are high impact and stresses my ankles greatly. I'm glad looks don't count, when comfort is major!

Finally! I found a dance sneaker that I love! I take aerobic dance classes and these sneakers give so much support all in the right 'spots'. I have a wide foot and these fit great and feel so comfortable. I ordered a half size up and it is a perfect fit.

I need a shoe for zumba. I have very picky feet. this shoe is great! It is very slippy and you would have to adjust your dancing if you are used to a sticky shoe. If you do a lot of dancing on your toes this shoe would be great. It splits in the middle but where it splits for me is not good for my foot. Other than it being too slippy for me and the break it is very comfortable. my foot felt like it was in a cloud. My foot felt very secure in the high top. If you haven't tried high tops for zumba you should I have just discovered them to be great for support.

I love the shoes. But other reviews are correct and you will need to order a full size up. I thought I could go with half a size up and they have to go back.

I bought these for teaching zumba and advise that you go up a half size since they run small. They are light and have moderate ankle support but offer little arch support so it's best to limit these to one hour dance fitness type classes, whenever possible. Overall, they are a fair deal and value for the price.

his shoe runs small, very small! I think a full size smaller. I recommend ordering a full size larger than your regular size. I wish I could say more about the fit but Zappos is out of the size I need so I can't try it. When it comes in if I get it I'll be sure to review.

I absolutely love these shoes. I only wear them one to three times a week for no more than two hours at a time. Never on the street. I have owned them for less than a year. So, a few hours a week - inside wear - for pickle ball. Now, the problem... One of the shoes is completely falling apart. The front sole is slipping off - or even shrinking - and is half off. It is weird looking. I am very disappointed that this is happening and it is plain to see that one of the shoes was defective to begin with. Not wearing them on the street, not wearing them for more than a few hours inside a week - and one completely falling apart. This really is disappointing as I love these shoes. Now I am sunk!

These shoes are essentially all synthetic material, at least any portion that touches your foot. The few stripes of decorative leather on the exterior do not add anything. They feel cheaply made, & are made in China. I wear a size 9 1/2, and ordered the 10 based on comments on this site, and the 10 was too big. But I wouldn't've kept them anyway, I returned them, because I'm convinced there are better quality, more supportive shoes out there.
