I recently became an Alegria fan with my first pair of Palomas. I ordered two pairs of Carina sandals because I couldn't make up my mind between the patent with skull beads ("charcoal") or the "hip black" style. Sadly, I have to return both pairs and will be exchanging for the "black nappa" style, which I hope will work. The patent leather of "charcoal' style was stiff and uncomfortable. It just didn't feel as good on my feet as the leather "hip black" style - plus they looked cheap and squeaked when I walked in them. Worse still, the strap on the inner side of my left foot digs into my arch and is uncomfortable. I think it will cause a blister if I walk much in them. The "hip black" style felt much, much better on my feet - no digging into the arch of my left foot. Sadly, there is a quality issue here too. The metallic "beads" across the strap are not metal - they are black plastic painted with metallic paint! Several of the beads on the right shoe were already chipped and it looks cheesy. Worse yet, I guess my right foot is smaller or flatter than the left, because I had to tighten the strap on the right foot as tight as it would go, causing the end of the strap to stick out straight from the side of the shoe. It looked super clunky, heavy, and awkward. (Alegrias are clunky-looking enough, no need to add to that!) I really love the feel of these shoes on my feet though, so I'm hoping the "nappa leather" style will work. I really hope they work because I love the Alegria footbed! They make my feet, legs, and hips happy. As always, thank you Zappos for your excellent return/exchange policy and customer service. I recommend Zappos to everyone I know when they ask me where I got my shoes.

I absolutely adore Alegria shoes and own 4 pair. That being said, this particular model seems to run narrow. Sadly, I will return them. To be fair, I do have a wide-ish foot, and most of these have a generous toe box and width. But this particular one, I can tell, would become very irritating on the outer edge of my foot, underneath baby toe area, as my foot was resting squarely on the area where the footbed meets the frame.

Very comfortable shoe. It feels like a shoe you could easily walk in all day. I ordered the Carina in the white shimmer color, which looks like a standard white patent leather in the the photos but actually has quite a bit of silver to it. The color will still work okay for me, but it is just something to be aware of if you are wanting a sandal that is strictly white.

Love this brand of shoes. Loved the pink snake skin. Hated the HUGE gold starfish. Had to send them back.

Nice sturdy shoes. Toe piece is comfortable. A bit stiff at first but they are softening up as I wear them. Foot bed is boxy and fits my foot well.

These shoes are absolutely beautiful. I have tried to make them work for me, but alas, it rubs between the toes and I think my foot is a tad too wide as well.

A really pretty shoe that fits good. The sole is very hard with no flex.

Love the look of the Alegria Carina. Fantastic quality for the price. They are comfortable but not stable in the heel, i.e. my rear of foot falls off to the side and not secure enough for me. Due to a recent broken ankle, I'm going to have to return the Carinas. My Alegria Karmen sandals from Zappos are very stable in the heel area--they're keepers.

Great sandal, super comfy especially for a narrower foot. Nice support. Unfortunately had to return because both sandals were missing rhinestones.

I love Alegria. I wear the basic clogs most days and my sensitive feet feel great. I wanted to love these sandals, too. They look cute. I would describe the color as copper-brown, with a shiny effect. The accent at the toe is a rhinestone -- not usually my style, but I like it on these shoes. They're really cute. Here's the drawback for me: The leather has real rough feeling to it. All of the edges of the straps across the foot and between the toes feel lousy against my feet. It hurts and they cost too much to wear them hoping they soften up. I'm returning them & will continue my quest for the perfect sandal.

Really liked the fit and was not happy with the hard leather fabric as it kept rubbing my foot and couldn't figure out a way to fix it.

I love the look and feel of these, but I needed to tighten the top down for a more snug fit. But the adjustable strap is as tight as it gets already, if I needed to loosen them I could. Unfortunately sending back as I need the top to fit more.

Not quite long enough or wide enough in my normal size. They were bulkier than other shoes in similar style. I didn't care for the way they looked on me. Went with the SAS Sanibel instead. Much better!

I love these sandals. Very cute and comfortable - when standing still. The leather piece between my toes made wearing the sandal impossible. When I walked, my foot slid forward and the leather piece dug into my foot. So Disappointed! Otherwise I’d have every color of this sandal.

What I really did not like was the seam around the shoe, with stitches. There is no way I can wear that to start. Narrow. Basically too small.

Usually love these shoes but they have a piece of plastic that is rubbing on my arch. I probably could file it down but for the cost, I feel like I should just return and try again.

I really wanted to like these because they are pretty and have nice arch support, but the inner strap on one shoe was not glued right and was rubbing the inside of my foot. I am a 10M in almost all shoes, Vionic, Cole Haan Spenco etc but these were narrow and my baby toe was almost hanging off the side. Sigh, the search still continues.

Runs large. Beware if your foot steps on the top stitches it is almost a sharp feel.

The area around the buckle irritates my foot. The color is sort of metallic, almost multi colored, and they are very shiny

Pretty sandal but didn’t work for me. The sandal’s cross strap is very wide but adjustable. Strangely, the sandal’s sole is very narrow and my pinky toes hang off the side. Not attractive nor safe. I had to send them back.

Fit and size good, sole cushioned, and looks good. But the buckle and closure had irritating edge.

The fit on these was true to size. However, the inside of the cross strap was rough and irritated my feet. I hated to return these, but I couldn't wear them. The leather was just too rough & stiff.

These shoes are cute but I have small bones and feet and I didn't like the movement my feet had in them. But I'm not a big fan of flip-flops anyway.
