I have worn other Alegria shoes for work (12 hour shifts at a vet clinic) for years with excellent results. Recently I started having issues with pain in the ball of my foot. I got these sandals to wear in the house during the winter and outside in the spring/summer - they are so comfortable and they wear well. I receive lots of compliments on them. Highly recommend them!

Love the style of the shoe. However, the thongs of the sandal was a problem for me and had to return it. They are very comfortable shoes for everyday needs though!

I so wanted these shoes to fit.....but, alas, they did not. The adjustable strap didn't adjust small enough to fit my foot, so I have to return them. Alegria - make the strap a bit more adjustable!!! These are beautiful sandals!!!

These are really comfortable, the only thing that makes them not comfortable is that shaft on the sole that is scratching the bottom of the foot, particularly heel. I recommend that you order them a size bigger. The part that goes in between toes is little to wide so it falls weirdly in between toes.

So cute! I’m usually not a “thong” person. The toe piece is pretty brutal so I ordered those silicone toe thingies from Amazon. Crossing my fingers that they’ll make the shoe more comfy. If not, they’ll be going back!

These are really cute sandals but although other styles of Alegria have fit me well, these seemed huge on my feet! They were high on my instep and when I adjusted the strap to fit, it looked crazy-almost touching the sole of the sandal. Never had that happen before with Alegria. It also felt wider than usual, I am surprised as Alegria had always seemed to have good quality control with sizing. Maybe that is not the problem but it seems to bo so with this pair of sandals. Sadly, returning.

To heavy for me liking.

I love Algeria shoes, and this one is no exception. It’s cute and is not too bulky looking like some of their styles can be. The arch support is good, and your feet don’t slide around on the footbed. The toes post is a bit stiff and rubs when first wearing them. That was bothersome at first, but it seems to be improving with wear. Love the bronze/black color - they go with everything!

Wow! These are adorable! And they seemed very comfortable. I need shoes with a firm, non-bendy sole (check!) and enough strap to keep my foot in place so my toes don't grip the shoe or bend while walking (that part didn't work out quite as well for me...) My foot is slender so even with the velcro strap tightened as much as it could be, my foot slipped a bit with each step & my toes felt like they were grabbing. For someone without my type of finicky feet, these would be great sandals.

These were super comfortable - I have been looking for sandals for the summer that wont aggravate my feet (lots of issues from running). While I loved the comfort they were a little to "bling" for my taste so I returned them.

I love these thongs, but they don't tighten enough across the instep to make them work. I have a medium width foot, but the strap is too big and my foot slides around. It's been a tough year to find sandals that aren't too wide for my feet. Back to searching.....

I love these Alegria Carinas! This is my 2nd pair. I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet with great pain. I wearthese sandals all summer long.

The forefoot is too big with the toe separator to high it doesn't hold my foot in place. I have another pair that are just fine of the same style. I am going to try a different pair of the same and see if it makes a difference.

This sandal has a lovely footbed. It's comfortable and flexible, even though at first I felt a little Herman Munster-ish when I walked, like the bottom of the shoe didn't rock and roll like it should. The "toe post" takes a little getting used to, though. I think it will get better with time. I don't usually buy sandals with a toe post but the other sandals I tried weren't doing it for me, so I tried this one. I haven't worn it outside yet. Trying to keep it clean for a summer job.

I wear a 9.5 and first ordered the 39 based on the recommendation that the shoe ran large. My heel was barely on the shoe, so I ordered the 40. It's a nice looking shoe but I did not find it very comfortable and the thong was rough on my toes. I sent it back.

Love the way these shoes look and you can walk in them all day. The only problem that I have is the strap between the toes is uncomfortable. It's a little too hard.

I chose these shoes based on recommendations for people with arthritis. The footbed is incredibly comfortable. The design is fun and attractive, appealing for a shoe for foot problems as they are not always so attractive. I did take the advise of other reviewers and went down a 1/2 size. Good advise. My only complaint is the weight of the shoe.

Slightly less comfortable than expected. Footbed was not as cushy as a Fit Flop (my standard of comfort) and my foot hung over a little onto the edge stitching, making a pressure spot. Also slight hammer toe on one foot rubs the flap at the toe post. It's a good looking shoe though, and makes a great casual day to evening sandal. Sadly it's not comfortable enough for me, but it's not the shoe's fault - just my feet!

These are fun shoes and they fit my wide feet and high instep since they have an adjustable strap. I like the footbed and slight lift of the shoe but the thong part of the shoe could use a bit more padding. The Alegria Carina is more metallic than the picture shows, but I love the style and color.

This is a beautiful pair of sandals, however, the toe piece is very painful. I wish that I could wear them but they are just not for me.

I recently became an Alegria fan with my first pair of Palomas. I ordered two pairs of Carina sandals because I couldn't make up my mind between the patent with skull beads ("charcoal") or the "hip black" style. Sadly, I have to return both pairs and will be exchanging for the "black nappa" style, which I hope will work. The patent leather of "charcoal' style was stiff and uncomfortable. It just didn't feel as good on my feet as the leather "hip black" style - plus they looked cheap and squeaked when I walked in them. Worse still, the strap on the inner side of my left foot digs into my arch and is uncomfortable. I think it will cause a blister if I walk much in them. The "hip black" style felt much, much better on my feet - no digging into the arch of my left foot. Sadly, there is a quality issue here too. The metallic "beads" across the strap are not metal - they are black plastic painted with metallic paint! Several of the beads on the right shoe were already chipped and it looks cheesy. Worse yet, I guess my right foot is smaller or flatter than the left, because I had to tighten the strap on the right foot as tight as it would go, causing the end of the strap to stick out straight from the side of the shoe. It looked super clunky, heavy, and awkward. (Alegrias are clunky-looking enough, no need to add to that!) I really love the feel of these shoes on my feet though, so I'm hoping the "nappa leather" style will work. I really hope they work because I love the Alegria footbed! They make my feet, legs, and hips happy. As always, thank you Zappos for your excellent return/exchange policy and customer service. I absolutely adore Alegria shoes and own 4 pair. That being said, this particular model seems to run narrow. Sadly, I will return them. To be fair, I do have a wide-ish foot, and most of these have a generous toe box and width. But this particular one, I can tell, would become very irritating on the outer edge of my foot, underneath baby toe area, as my foot was resting squarely on the area where the footbed meets the frame.

Very comfortable shoe. It feels like a shoe you could easily walk in all day. I ordered the Carina in the white shimmer color, which looks like a standard white patent leather in the the photos but actually has quite a bit of silver to it. The color will still work okay for me, but it is just something to be aware of if you are wanting a sandal that is strictly white.

Love this brand of shoes. Loved the pink snake skin. Hated the HUGE gold starfish. Had to send them back.

Nice sturdy shoes. Toe piece is comfortable. A bit stiff at first but they are softening up as I wear them. Foot bed is boxy and fits my foot well.
