Definitely more cheaply made than Docs of the past. The oxford styling around the toe is OK, but more of an upturn or even a square toe would have been cuter. Still, I wear them a lot, and they were comfortable from the beginning.

Got the dark brown and I am not impressed with the faux distressing, which I did not notice in the picture of the boots- my own fault- and it was not mentioned in any of the reviews. The boots seem comfortable and true to size. Felt a little flimsy for Dr. Martens, though. Will be returning.

Love these boots! They feel great and look fantastic. Needed a durable high-heeled boot. Felt absolutely true to size, too. I usually get a UK6/Woman's 8 but they were out of it, so I opted for the UK5/Woman's 7 and was pleasantly surprised to find that they fit just fine.

I have had many, many pairs of DM's over the years and these are by far the most comfortable Doc's I have ever owned. Slim fitting, kind of a girlie combat look, super soft leather and no break-in period like most Doc's. The black has more of a worn look than pictured, other sites describe color as sanded pillow, it has a bit of a sanded look to make the black look gray in areas of boot. I wear a 7.5 in Frye an 8 in these.

Got these today and was pleasantly surprised They are very comfortable and lightweight. The leather is soft, but kind of thin. I don't mind that at all. They don't have the heft that Frye Boots provide (and lighter price tag too), but I like them. They will look great with skinny jeans.

I was hoping these boots were as stylish in person as in the photos -- and they are! I have another pair of classic Dr. Marten boots (14 eyelet), and while I love their clunkiness, I was looking for something more versatile. I like the soft, lightweight leather (the boots overall are quite light), and the upturned shape of the toe. If you have another pair of Docs, the sizing is consistent. I wear a 9 in dress shoes and got these in a 10, and with boot socks they fit well. These are great and I am so pleased!

I love, love, love these boots! They came and right from the box they were comfy and stylish. I am on the shorter side, and these boots give me just the lift I need to wear my pants with regular inseams. I walk from home to school and right from the box I was able to walk the mile and back with no discomfort. If you remember the Dr. Martens boots from the 90s as heavy and bulky, no need to fear with this boot, they are not bulky and definitely great to wear.

If only there were half sizes, this would fit perfectly! I ordered them in the UK 8 knowing that if I ordered down to 7 they'd be snug. there's probably about a finger width of room barefoot but I'm sure with a thicker fall sock and my jeans wrapped in there the extra room won't be noticeable. The leather is softer than traditional DM's, so waterproof waterproof waterproof! but the boot is extremely comfortable, I didn't even notice I was wearing a bigger heal compared to my regular boots. They aren't as impressive as if they had been made in the UK, but man, they still have that great DM sole, and the leather doesn't bother me as much because of that. The leather is incredibly soft however, meaning this boot will probably stretch, which good be a good or bad thing depending on your leg size.

I purchased these boots in black as a birthday gift for a friend, but I own a pair in the brown. They look great and are super comfy due to the supple leather. I'm an 8 1/2 and ordered the 8 -- perfect fit. Highly recommended!

When I first got these shoes, they were my favorite pair of boots after a long line of beauties. But they completely fell apart within a few months! After only one or two months, the sole came off on both shoes, and then it continued to rip apart the leather and innards. Who wants to throw away a pair of shoes at this price in less than six months? It's too bad, because they're so darn cute.
