Bought these shoes June 2016, have worn them the entire time and they still look new. Love the "no guilt" vegan material. And no need to polish! I would love to see more styles with the vegan upper.

These are nice-looking but there is just too much "shoe". Make my feet look much longer than they are!

Bought for my vegetarian daughter. She adores the style. She said the shoe bends more as u walk and fold, but she then said. It's worth it. I know leather last longer and I don't care because every step I take makes me happy to be animal free!

My vegan Dr. Martens are fantastic. They are well made, very comfortable, and vegan - everything you want in good shoes. Did I mention that they are vegan? I love them.

I'm very happy with these shoes. These are my first pair of vegan shoes since going vegan in February 2013. It's difficult to find a size 14 dress shoe that doesn't involve animal suffering. These are really comfortable and good looking. I got lots of good comments on them from my co-workers today. Nice! I wish you sold the brown version in size 14 as well. I'd buy it!

Can't believe these are vegan! They're my favorite work shoe because you can also walk for miles in them and they're good for your feet. Thanks for letting me know when my size came in!

I was all set to order this shoe, but then read in many of the reviews that they were difficult to break-in so I didn't complete the order. Two weeks ago I was in Seattle and visited another retailer. It was great to be able to try on different sizes. I wear a U.S. 12, but the UK 11 was too small so got a 13. Also, I went for the insole in a size 11. Makes all the difference in the world. I'm happy to say that after three or four wearings they are "broken in."

I love these shoes. they scraped up my heels at first, but after about 2 weeks these bad boys were broken in. So glad I didn't give up on them during that time. I've worn them practically every day for the past 6 months without a problem. I'm a woman's size 8.5 (US), so I took the advice of other peeps and ordered up to a UK7 - but they were way too big. Had to return them for UK6 and they are perfect.

I love my Doc Martens. As advertised, they are great shoes. I am vegan and love that they have printed on the insole "suitable for vegans". Zappos got them to me overnight. Great service and customer care.

Soles are far lighter than they look. Strong and can take a beating. I'm really rough on my shoes, especially the soles. I'll be buying another pair very soon.

I should have bought a size up. Mistakenly, I assumed that they would break in before too long. Breaking them in was instead a painful process, which I should have given up within a couple of days. I wore these every day for many years. My view that these shoes are not for me was cemented late in their life cycle by alternating them with other shoes. Returning to these shoes after wearing more comfortable shoes for a day or two actually contributed to sudden, sharp back pain. It was very weird. I wouldn't say the shoes are of low quality, but let the wearer be advised that they run a bit small, and the faux leather is extremely unforgiving. If you're counting on these shoes stretching out to accommodate your feet, then wearing them in will be rough. I would recommend sizing up, and wearing these with cushioned insoles.

The style is fantastic and classic! Be sure to wear thicker socks with them as they will cut into your heels otherwise.

I love the look of these shoes. However I either have to wear the high heeled superfeet orthodics in them or custom podiatrist orthodics in them. Other than that I love the style of them. You can dress them up or down either black dress pants or with jeans. Right now Im wearing them with waterproof pants.

Nice sturdy quality. A bit stiff and masculine for my taste. The back rubs on my ankle.

These are sturdy and nice looking. The is lots of room in the toe box and my toes are not squished. I added heel cushions for extra comfort. It is a heavy shoe.

Shoes look great but I'm really hoping they break in. I've had to wear bandaids under my socks at the back of my my Achilles tendons for a couple weeks now to keep the shoes from digging in. And the toe box is fairly tight so I can't put any kind of insert in the shoes to make them more comfortable. But if you're like me and want a non-leather dressy work shoe, there aren't too many options.

Be aware: This shoe is cut very narrow. I always wear a medium width (D); this is so narrow it hurts.

Really sharp looking shoe. I've never had a complaint with a Doc Martens shoe...till now. These have taken multiple wearings to break in, with blisters on the back both my ankles to prove for it. You also need to order a half size up from your normal size, never down. Now that the shoe is broken in, I am really enjoying it.

Gonna echo what some others have said -- these are rough on the heels. First day wearing them with thick socks was.. ok. A week later, I wore them two days in a row with normal thinnish dress socks and had broken skin on both heels. Hoping either they or my heels get broken in a bit. Aside from that, they tend to run small.

I just received these, but I'll be returning them. The length is fine (I ordered a half size larger because of they only come in whole sizes at my size range), but they fit really narrow across the toes.

I was a bit disappointed in the feel of the shoe; I guess it's because I'm more partial to the leather Dr. Martens. Also, the quality didn't feel the same as the leather. I ordered the same size that I have worn in other Dr. Martens, but couldn't even get these on my feet. I just sent them back and went with another Dr. Martens shoe.

Go with the leather version. These won't last long and cannot be polished nicely like lwather
