Obsessed with the look of these booties! I got so many compliments last weekend when I had them on. The leather scuffs a little bit but I think it adds to the character! Highly recommend!

Good looking boot! I ordered a 9 because I got the Jackie Button tall a couple of years ago in 9 but this pair the Jackie Button Short the 9 seemed tighter through the forward base of my foot. I am exchanging them for a 9.5 and hope that they fit better. They are really sharp boots in the burgundy.

Liked these, but ended up exchanging them. Heel box felt bigger than other Frye boots. Stylistically, I opted to exchange for the Ilana which had a bit more interest.

I bought these boots with the expectation they would be my go-to boot for the winter, but every time I look at them I remember wearing them to the mall and having to purchase a pair of shoes to wear home because they hurt so badly. I find some of the reviews which say "they are so comfortable" so misleading, because I would call them anything but. Wish I had not worn them, because they would be going back in a heartbeat - this was a very expensive lesson to learn.

These boots are gorgeous, as I'd hoped they would be. Fit right out of the box, heel the right height (not too tall, and makes my short legs look longer!). One complaint, and this is big for me: these Frye boots were not made in the USA. That was one reason I was willing to spend the money on them, to buy a product made in the USA. They are stamped on the inside "Made in Mexico." Very disappointing. But still, very well made boots that I hope to wear for years.

Loved these super cute boots but alas I had to send them back because the 5.5 is too big. Please Frye start making a 5 (and maybe less)! Your boots all run too big! The soles were nice and cushy, the leather soft and the style was just what I was looking for. A little more heel than many western boots but still low enough to be comfortable to wear all day. So sad!

Not cute enough for the price. The heel area felt a little big as well. Return away!

I have had many pairs of Fryes over the years, but these surprised me. They are beautiful boots (I got them in the cognac color) and initially the fit was perfect for my average-width foot. In the past, my Fryes have been pretty sturdy and hold up well in the city. However, these boots didn't fair at all-- and only wore them once-- I wore them from the car into a restaurant and back out to the car. The leather on the foot stretched out across the tops enough so that they didn't fit properly. They scuffed noticeably across the front toe even though I was very careful with my new boots. I have had them for three months and have not worn them since. The soles are basically unscathed. I wish I could return them, but they showed wear so quickly I don't think I could.

I like the look of Frye boots in general. This style is attractive, but the boot is stiff and narrow through the toe. I bought the right size. Normally I like a softer feel for boots so unfortunately I will have to return them.

Pretty boot but just does not fit my foot correctly. I wear 7 1/2 in most shoes and boots but the size varies with different bookmakers. I tried 7 1/2 and 8 but unfortunately no luck with this style. My heel was too loose -- sliding up & down. Also, the cognac color on the website is not consistent with what I received. One pair was darker and one pair was lighter. Both were nice looking but neither pair matched the color shown on the site. I would have kept the boot if it would have fit correctly. Back they go. Boo!

Other than color, these boots are great. The fit is true-to-size, even for those of us with wider calves. The heel was actually very comfortable - I could've walked all day in these boots, even on day one. Unfortunately, the color of the Cognac Soft Vintage is really disappointing. The color appears nothing like the pictures. In the pictures, the color looks to have hints of orange. The color in real life is a true and true brown. While the color was still nice, it wasn't the color I was looking for, not for the price. I definitely don't feel this is a true cognac brown. Every picture of this boot in this color looks to have an orange hue. If it weren't for the color, I'd be wearing the boots right now!

I wanted to love these boots but they run way too big. My other Frye boots are size 5.5 and since 5.5 is the smallest size they make, that's what I ordered. They are too big, my heel picks up a lot when I walk. The footbed seems to fit fine though. The top of the boot seems very wide. I wanted to wear them with skinny jeans tucked in and also with dresses/leggings, but I think the boot is too wide and it would look weird with leggings. Returning these and trying a different pair. The 2 inch heel looks cute and might be comfortable, but the heel slippage was just too much of a problem for me.

The style and fit is great, however, these are made in Mexico. Compared to my made in USA Frye 8r boots, these are cheep and the quality just isn't there. I love Frye, but I'm returning these and sticking to the quality of made in USA.

The boot is nice but the quality of leather and the richness of the look was very disappointing for me. I am not sure I want to keep them. I ordered my standard size and the boot felt a half a size too large. The boot just doesn't look as rich or classy as I would have hoped. Frye quality has really gone down.

Normally I wear size 10 in Frye. So I ordered a size 10. The right foot was so tight I couldn't walk in it. So I ordered an 11. (Yikes). So big I could walk right out of them. I don't know why they do not offer a 10.5, as every other size has a half size. Believe me Im no amazon, just somewhat big feet. They said to reorder another 10, maybe it would fit differently. So I tried. They are sold out. If I return my 10, and reorder a 10, chances are I will get the same ill-fitting boot I started with. Very disappointed. :(

What the heck is going on with Frye? Everywhere I turn, the quality is deteriorating. This is supposed to be the great American brand, the one I've known for decades. Anyway, these boots fit well however they look like they are made of synthetic material, including the heel. For $300+ I want something that looks like quality leather, not a knock-off I can get at a major chain department store. Returning.

I bought this boot and loved it. The height (both heel height and boot height) was awesome, and I loved the look. However, after only 4 times wearing the product- the whole heel is peeling off! I have been a Frye lover for years but this pair is just not the same quality as their older products. No boot, especially this costly boot, should be ruined after wearing it four times. No matter how much you like this boot- don't waste your money! It will fall apart!

Frye boots are not the quality they used to be. The heels on these did not last for 2 months of occasional use. The style is great, the quality is poor. Please go back to making in the USA. Thank you, Zappos, for excellent customer support.

There was a time when one could not buy a better quality boot than Frye. I have three pair that I have had for ten years or more, and they are still in excellent condition. Those days, sadly, are behind us. I have tried several pairs of Frye boots over the last few months and had to return them all. The quality just isn't there anymore, and they are certainly not worth the price.
