Wow - I bought these for a shoot I was doing outdoors for a month and man these rock! I've always been skeptical of work boots and comfort but I was working 15-16 hour days with zero foot fatigue. I typically at least change socks at lunch but these boots really can be worn all day in the sand and in the middle of June-90 degree days and not sweat like crazy. It took the first week to break them in but they worked out great. They sure beat my Salomons.

I was so disappointed when we discovered 4E was just a single wide width. It only comes in Medium and 4E but it's not really a 4E! The label inside the boot and on the box says Large or Wide - and that's how it fits. Definitely not a 4E.

Extremely comfortable boots. Lost of cushion. Well made. Great outsoles with lots of traction.

I bought these for my husband. He says they are the best fitting most comfortable boots he has ever worn! Great ankle support, cushioned bottom, room for toes to move. Great purchase for anyone who does a lot of work outside.

I just got my boots today and boy are they comfortable. It's hard to find wide boots anywhere until I found Zappos. I wear a 4e boot because I have duck feet but these boots are true to width. I haven't worn them outside yet but I have them on now and they feel great. Thanks Zappos for the quick shipping and the best customer service I know of! I will always buy my footwear from you guys and my wife ordered a pair of walking shoes from you yesterday!

These boots are a tall, waterproof running shoe. A quick word on the water proofing, they have never let me down in the rain, or dunks in puddles, however if you plan to stand in water these boots did leak on me after about 3-5 minutes in about 4" of water. They have limited support, however, these boots offer the best traction out of any footwear I have ever experienced. I own many pairs of shoes, Chippewa Super Loggers, Timberland Pit Bosses, and a pair of Asolo Powermatics. I love each pair of boots for a different reason, but these truly amaze me every time I wear them. Wet surfaces are no problem. The main gripe I have with them is that for me they actually have too much cushioning, sometimes it can allow my foot to roll around on the EVA midsole with out my noticing and end up bothering my knee so I generally favor my Chippewas or my Asolos harder soles instead. I would like to try a pair of Danner combat boots to compare quality.

Went through two pairs of these during one stint in Iraq. They are very comfortable, like trail running shoe comfortable, but they are really made for moderate terrain without wearing a heavy load. They are a little too flexible for rocky surfaces and will allow your feet to get bruised by larger rocks occasionally. For banging around the barracks and light duty stuff they are perfect.

This boot is incredibly comfortable with no break in period needed. I shoveled snow for over two hours the first day out with them and my feet stayed warm and dry. Very light even in my size 15's. I researched this type of boot a lot before buying and I'm glad I picked the Delta-8. So far after the first month I am very pleased with the comfort, look and functionality of this boot.

Besides this boot, I was considering the McClellan with side zip by Timberland. I found the Bates Delta 8 easier to get on and off, even though it has no side zip. The Bates is comfortable and light but I have not worn it long enough to test its durability.

Excellent boots. They fit wide enough to accommodate thick socks. The speed laces work great. Excellent ankle flexibility.

Bates is the best. These are the best boots I've owned. Worn them all day 3-4 days a week for several weeks now. Great looking, most comfortable, excellent craftsmanship, true to size.
