I know that these say that they are leather, but the outside feels and looks like plastic. I'm not very happy with them.

I have a pair of Ariat riding boots which are 12 years old and are the most comfortable boots I own, so I decided to give other Ariat products a try. I purchased the waterproof version of the Ariat Terrain in March of 2021. I treated them with mink oil several times and wore them as a daily boot nearly every day, except in summer when I wear sandals. I typically walk in all environments, but it's mostly grass, woodlands, and other soft surfaces with some urban walking as well. The tread has held up well despite the urban use, but after one year cracks started forming at the toes and after 1.5 years, holes developed and the leather upper has started separating from the sole. After 2 years, large holes have developed at the toes and the boots are only good for chores. I'm disappointed that they did not hold up longer and I'm hesitant to purchase other ariat products.
My feet tended to sweat more in these, but I chalked that up to the waterproof lining. If you're feet sweat easily, you might consider the regular version if you're ok with having to replace them every year when they start wearing out.

Boots are true to size. Overall fit is good. My two complaints: the boots arrived with multiple, major scuff marks on both boots. Seemed to me that they come off the store floor and/or very poorly handled/packaged. When I reached out to customer service about the issue I did not get a response back. That is poor customer service to me and will keep me from buying anything else in the future from this company

looked great fit well but my socks and feet were soaked after 2 hours there was minimal slushy snow. I sprayed them with my waterproof spray from trade home and now they are fine

I have been wearing fatbaby boots for many years different colors and materials and they've always been consistent with sizing and fit but these are strange. I used to order medium width (B) but I've been ordering wide (C) lately because I love the extra room and comfort and I do have wide feet and calves but these I ordered in 7.5C and the shaft is very snug, like I can only get one finger down in them when my foot is inside as opposed to normal where I can get my whole hand down inside, like to pull up my socks. They definitely are not wide, although the footbed seems right I definitely wouldn't be able to tuck pants into them. So I'm returning them and I reordered them hoping it was just a fluke. Please let it be mislabeled or something because I love the color and style! Purple is my favorite color so these are just perfect for me. I'm giving them 2 stars because they're gorgeous but the strange fit is disappointing!

Calf part was very wide and the soles was a weird rubber like material. Sorry to say but it did not work for me at all. Order half a size bigger

I purchased my boots just over 11 months the inside of my boots are coming apart and so are my inserts. Tops of my boots coming apart too. The money I paid for them the shouldn't be coming apart so bad. The leather leaks when wet. They are water proff

I wish there were more options. I would have not picked the color but it was the only color in my size. I used to live in my fatbaby boots but this time the sizing was different 7.5 too small and 8 a smidge too big.

Bought this boot in a wide foot and wide calf a year ago thinking I'd finally found something that would work for me, not the case. While it has plenty of room in the calf, the foot is definitely not wide. I kept them thinking I'd be able to stretch them out but, that's not working. I really wanted to love them.

I ordered wide feet and wide calf. My calves aren't necessarily that big, but I like to have room. But I di have wide feet.
These are not wide. No way. I struggled, and I mean it, to get in. The space in the neck of the boot is too narrow for me to allow my foot to go in with my ankle still trying to go in. Not sure how to explains, so I hope it makes sense.
I managed to go in. Buy then it eas compressing my foot at the top, but extremely loose on my calves.
I thought these would be perfect. Well not for me. Returning and still looking.

I had a pair of these and it took mu hours longer go break in then any other pair of footwear I have ever owned. On top of that the soles became unglued in a matter of two months.

I normally LOVE Ariat but out of the 3 pair I purchased this pair is just very tight around the top. I have worn them 3 times so far and they do not seem to be stretching at all. Any suggestions?

This is my 4th pair of this same boot and the quality has gone downhill! They also don't fit the same- used to wear an 8- now I need a 71/2. The quality of the leather is thin and the soles are plastic feeling,- not rubber like they used to. I can tell they won't last long! Very disappointed with Ariat company- they USED to be the only boot I would buy!

Mediocre, don't last long given the price point, and Ariat as a company will email you ten thousand times no matter how many times you unsubscribe (because your feedback is more important to them than respecting your no) but as an equestrian with wide calves I have zero other boot options, hooray!

If you have wide feet, probably need to size up a half size at least. Sad that I just got these today and they don't even fit and they're non returnable! I usually just wear mens boots because they never run small.

Very narrow despite buying the wide size. The calf for wide calf didn't seem to be much difference either.

Only reason I didn't like these was because of the quarter inch edge of the tred Around the base. It doesn't feel right walking or looking down at them. Nothing wrong with the boot. Just not the original style I like personally.

I bought these this year and they are already worn out. Doesn't seem to be as long lasting of quality as the previous exact boots I have ordered. Disappointed.

I work on a horse farm and was wanting a good boot for everyday wear. Something waterproof, comfortable and durable. I thought Ariat would be the best because in the past I have well loved western boots that lasted forever. Well after only 4 months of everyday use they're cracking on the sides, the sole is coming apart and are no longer waterproof. If I'm spending this kind of money on any boot I expect better quality from such well respected equine brand. It seems the quality has gone downhill.

I wore these for about a week and afterwards I had pain all the way from my feet to my hips. I changed the insoles and everything and they still just killed my feet and hips especially. My coworkers swore by them but I couldn't bear to wear them anymore. In addition they got dirty so quickly and creased after day 3. Not a fan (personally)

I was so looking forward to wearing this boot!
Unfortunately, it has a very narrow neck and I am unable to even get my foot past the turn. If I could get my foot in the boot it would likely fit. So sad.
