I have searched for so long for plain low-heeled pumps that I could stand to wear for long hours at work. I have had foot pain issues for years and these shoes are the most comfortable dress shoes that I have found. There is no pinching, rubbing, or gapping. They have a stable heel, and a soft footbed. I think I am in love!

Beautiful shoe, well-made and comfortable. I wish so much I could have kept it, but it gapped. The problem is probably with my foot, not the shoe.

WONDERFUL, TOTALLY COMFORTABLE!!! This shoe is so well made, lined with leather, and exactly true to size. Yes, this is a plain style, but it is a classic and suitable for business/work with skirts, trousers, jeans. I would love to order a second pair for backup, but this style is no longer available. I will be waiting in line to purchase another pair if ECCO reintroduces this classic shoe and if I can purchase it from Zappos. These shoes were instantly comfortable and I walked three miles the same day. The leather lining and superb construction mean happy feet. Thank You Zappos for carrying excellent products and for your great customer service.

Best, most comfortable pumps ever! I have not worn pumps for years because my feet are hard to fit--mainly due to all my toes being the same length (except the smallest) on one foot and hammer toes on the other, as well as high insteps and arches. All of this usually adds up to feet in two different sizes, one of which is in pain. But these pumps are perfect. I can walk all day and have no pain. I bought them in patent, so they are a bit more elegant than these simple black calf, but I'd recommend them to anyone. Expensive, but worth the money. I stopped buying cheap shoes a long time ago--not worth it when I had to give so many of them away.

These are a very comfy, basic pump. Be aware of the fact that they run large though. I originally ordered size 38 because I wear a size 7. They were huge on me. I sent them back and tried the 37, which lists as size 6- 6 1/2, and they fit perfectly (on the loose side of perfectly), so don't be afraid to follow the actual sizing chart! Best shoes ever! I probably searched 40+ hours for shoes that would be comfortable enough to wear all day long, even when doing lots of walking, and good looking enough to wear with everything from professional business suits to blue jeans. These are perfect! They run just a bit big in length and width, and the arch is a bit high, but that is fine with me. Plan to buy in more colors.

Perfection! This is the 7th pair of shoes I've tried in the past two weeks from Zappos. All the others were not quite right. I had hesitated to order these because I was afraid they were not dressy enough. Wrong. They will be perfect both for both dressy events and for work, plus they are super comfortable right out of the box.

Comfortable, classic, attractive. I am retired and trying to shed a lot of excess stuff -- including shoes -- in my life. I expect these will do for any occasion where I don't need/want sandals, athletic shoes, loafers, or super dressy. Nice with or without stockings, with jeans, slacks, skirts or dresses. Day or night. The only drawback is the style -- toebox mainly -- is a little frumpy. But this is the best combination I could find for above purposes.

I wanted these to work so badly - I have been searching high and low for a good pair of black leather, leather lined shoes to wear for all my choir gigs. First off, these things run huge! I couldn't believe how big they are. They are kind of matronly, but I thought it would not be as bad on my feet because they are small. Wrong. Also when I walked in them, the leather started to cut across the side of my foot. So, I am going to have to send these back.

ordered 5 different pairs looking for really good arch support. These were the best. They are a little old lady, but what do you expect from a good walking shoe? True to size. The slight heel makes them a bit nicer looking with a suit to walk in than straight flats. I walk over a mile to and from work.

Gorgeous, but should have listed to the reviews. They're a full size too large. I will order a smaller size and hope for the best.

I tried these on in a store and didn't love them at first, but ultimately decided to buy them after my doc advised trying Ecco shoes to help with some foot pain. They are not the most stylish shoe I've ever owned but they do look great with most dresses and dress pants. Good work shoe, comfortable to wear & walk in.

I have falling arches and heel spurs, it's very hard for me to find a shoe with the right support in the right places. My foot Dr recommended me trying this brand of shoe and I must say he was SO right. I went into a store and tried on a few different styles of the Ecco brand and this shoe was perfect in every way for me. I wear this shoe not only to work but even around the house and to do every day activities (not physical ones), my feet haven't felt this great in a long time, they help so much I hate not wearing them. I have worn them so much I now have to buy a new pair. If you're going to wear them as much as I do be prepared to replace them every 6 months (which I'm told you should do anyways). I am starting to notice the sole is shifting and at first I was irritated that I spent as much as I did for them and they are starting to go bad. But then I realized it's been 6 months and I practically live in them. The money is defiantly worth it.

These shoes are beautiful: supple leather, slightly edgy elegant. But size 40 is better for size 9.5 than for 9. My foot slid forward putting the otherwise comfy footbed in the wrong position. Please ECCO, we need half sizes!

I have plantar fasciitis and thought I'd never be able to wear heels again without pain. These shoes provide all-day comfort, even for a teacher who is on her feet all day long. Definitely worth the money.

A very cute and versatile shoe. Wish it came in a taupe or neutral mushroom color also. I did not want patent but it was the only one available and it turns out I love it for all year use...it's perfect! a good walking shoe if you are on your feet a lot. The construction of the shoe is so well done you will be impressed. I have a bit of a wider foot across the toes and it's a good shoe for problem feet...cuter on than off and I have had compliments. Have had several foot surgeries and thank goodness I found these. I wear an 8.5 and they were true to size for me. Thanks!

Agree with others that the sizing is off by about a half size. These have great arch support. On first wearing I found them a bit uncomfortable in the toe area. I'm pretty sure they'll break in to be great though.

Very nice looking shoe. It's somewhat comfortable. It would be great for the office. These shoes are not for you if you're on your feet for long hours.

Very comfortable. Very high arches. Nearly as comfortable as my Dansko clogs but I have to return them because they slip on my left heel. They are not very cute but I always care more about comfort than appearances.

Just received these. Fairly comfortable but rub in a couple of places. The arch support is minimal but I wear orthotics so I am used to significant support.

I must not need any arch support because the padding in this shoe made it unwearable. It seems to be a trend to put in so much padding that it is like adding an orthotic. After wearing the shoe for about an hour my foot had been pushed out of alignment so much that it was painful to walk. Another reviewer had the same problem. I really wanted to keep these shoes. I teach and having a rubber sole that doesn't "clip clop" on our hard floors is ideal. If you usually wear orthotics, you will probably love this shoe.

I had hesitated about buying these as the styling looked a bit clunky and, more importantly the combined/Euro sizing often does not work. The good news is that even though they are clunky there was something surprisingly endearing about the appearance and the footbed was truly one of the most comfortable that I have ever felt. On the bad news side (and this is why I am having to return these) even though the length was fine the height from sole to the top is too low with the top edge cutting into my foot perhaps expressly because there is such a deep footbed in it that it takes up too much space. As these were to be for comfort, I could not afford the sacrifice to the top of my foot for the soles of my feet. So, alas, they go back.
