I loved these shoes but I have a hammer toe. Note how the shoe tapers towards the sole at the end of the shoe. Too painful to wear for me. Leather is too hard to stretch. Reluctantly had to return them.

If I could give these shoes 6 stars, I would. I have had all sorts of foot problems recently and nothing has been very comfortable. These shoes are way better than anything else I've tried. Soft, thick insole, arch support, no problems with my neuroma or my bone bruise. I bought another pair of Alegria which is promising as well.... still have to wear them around to judge for real. But these? Better than barefoot....

As a nurse on my feet for 12 to 16hrs with heel spurs and plantar fasciitis this shoes save my life I don’t need to have surgery yay!!! OMG I thought I was going to loose my mind I was in so much PAIN! My feet thanks to this shoes I can work again I was in bad shape! I’m not totally cure but doing a whole lot better with this shoes to work

I REALLY wanted to love these shoes but it just didn't happen. My biggest issue was the my heel kept slipping out of the back of the show. I lived the colors and funky style. Arch support is pretty good and super comfy but my heart just wasn't in keeping them.

I have several pairs of Alegria, both flats with Mary Jane straps, and sandals. They are all true to size. The Debra Professional runs very large and wide. I returned them

Fit great. Right out of the box I wore these for 4 12 hour hospital shifts in a row. My feet felt great.

Unfortunately I am returning shoes. Love the color. The heel slips which pulls my socks down and I have troubles keeping the shoes on after several steps.

I have a hard foot to fit especially in enclosed shoes. I thought I'd try these as I find their sandals very comfortable ( I have 3 Pairs) These were too narrow and not long enough for me.

As other reviewers stated, there is too much slipping in the heel area. I walk out of the shoes and it pulls my sock down with each step. Will be returning.

Fantastic shoe for people who are on their feet all day. Great combination of support and comfort.

At least a half size too small. Beautiful shoe though.

Very cute shoe but like many of the Alegrias, not a whole lot of space for movement of the toes in a vertical way. I like to be able to wiggle my toes slightly and have that space- none there in this show, so they went back.

it felt comfortable but it looked so boxy making it look so WIDE.

Of all the shoes that I have tried looking for a rocker sole to allow me to walk normally despite having hallux rigidus (a big toe joint that won't bend), this has the best rocker. However, the shoe was short for its size while also very loose in the heel. I can't order a larger size because my foot was already slipping out of the shoe at the back while my toes were too close to the front. It is not a pretty shoe, but it is almost fun in its clunkiness -- it comes off looking like a statement instead of an orthopedic shoe. The arch support is really good. If you have a wide heel and need a rocker sole, this shoe is perfect. Sadly, I have to return it even though I wish I could make it work for me.

With my high instep it can be difficult to find a non-Oxford shoe that doesn’t rub blisters on the top of my foot. This model did not feel uncomfortable in this respect and I think it would have been fine if I ordered it a half size smaller. The look was attractive enough. I needed a second pair of brown shoes and wanted to see if I could get a non-oxford that was supportive enough. Unfortunately neither pair was supportive enough, so I confess to buying the less expensive pair. For this price they had better be perfect, and even if they were half a size smaller I knew they wouldn’t be.

I ordered a 9.5/10 Women's & it it's too short in the toes. It feels like a 9/9.5 instead. Everything else feels great except that.

I was a Dansko wearer for years, but I found in recent past that I roll my ankle from time to time when wearing those. So a friend suggested these and I am thrilled! The color I selected goes with many things. They fit best with a thicker sock, and if I wear a traditional dress sock, they are a little too loose.

I ordered my normal size in a wide width. Perfection right out of the box! I've been having a problem with plantar fasciitis and these shoes feel so good, I rarely take them off. Stylish, not so much, but I got the black ones in hopes that no one notices : )

I purchased these shoes out of desperation, I have severe arthritis in both of my feet and even my beloved Birkenstocks caused me pain. By the end of my work day I was very nearly in tears because my feet hurt so badly. So I headed to Zappos and looked for comfort shoes in a wide width and found Alegria. I decided to try the Debra and was very skeptical but quite pleasantly surprised. I chose the Choco Flutter and the color is aptly named, the color is that of a roasted coffee bean. I tried them on, no alarm bells but knew that I needed to wear them around my house for a bit. They felt good enough at home so I decided to wear them to work and had some pain in my toe joint on my right foot, but the pain in my left foot which prompted me to purchase the shoes was not noticeable, I was able to walk much easier. I put my shoe stretcher in the right shoe and left it there over the weekend and now I can wear them all day with no pain! I highly recommend this shoe, especially if you have foot problems. They are so well made, great quality leather and the "cuff" at the heal is just another small touch of quality. I wear them without socks or stockings and the insole is soft and oh so comfortable. I have my eye on a couple of other styles to order soon!

SO Disappointed! These were a full 1.5 size smaller than I normally wear. I even ordered up a size based on the reviews. They are super cute and comfy. I wear a women's 13 so I cannot size up any further. Alegria, please revise your size chart and and start offering larger sizes. Women with larger feet love your shoes too!

Extremely comfortable. The width is comfortable, and doesn’t rub my toes. I wear them with socks and they don’t feel too tight. Im usually a 39 in alegria closed shoes and these fit perfectly. Perfect for standing all day at work.

I ordered 3 styles of Alegria shoes. I love this brand, if you've never tried them you should! I am keeping the Brandy Palomas and the Cocoa Paityns and am sending these back. There is nothing wrong with the comfort or looks of them, I just happen to like the other two better. Thanks to Zappos, ordering and returning are super easy. They are crazy fast in processing both orders and refunds, thanks Zappos!!!!

I thought these shoes were really cute. But for a narrower foot, they just looked too wide. I was looking to replace my Danskos, and these also have a very firm sole. But like Dansko clogs, the heels slip a bit, which I found more uncomfortable in the Alegrias. I also found the fit changed from one style to the next. Luckily for Zappos terms, I ordered several different ones, but they all went back:(.

I basically where these everywhere. Mainly I wear them during 12 hr shifts in a hospital nursing job. I got them to replace my FAV Dansko clogs, which I've worn for 10 years (replaced them every few years). I felt like I was a cheating on Dansko when I bought these. But I have to say I'm a fan. One of the female docs had the ones w/ the skeleton heads on them. This pattern was a bit bold for me. I get a MILLION compliments on these. They offer the same support, the inside is a bit softer feeling. I even where them w/o socks sometimes in the warmer weather. I'll definitely keep this brand on my radar.
