I am a nurse and I love these shoes. They squeak when I walk. My first set of shoes sounded like I had a dog's squeaky toy in it, so Zappos exchanged them for a new pair. After about 6 mos of wear on the next set, the right shoe's Velcro started to come undone when I would walk which is not fun when you are busy working. All that said, they are so comfy and my feet never hurt after a full day of work. Zappos made it right with me. But because of the Velcro problem I would never buy this style again. I still really like Alegria, but for Alegria needs to put better quality Velcro on their shoes.

I like Alegria shoes and these are no exception. I find the toe box to be a little smaller than usual in this style. I have one big problem with the shoes and I fervently wish the company could address it. The shoes squeak!! They all do but some styles are worse than others. After wearing these shoes 2-3 times a week, they too are beginning to squeak. Disappointing because I will have to look for another manufacturer.

I love the appearance of these shoes and they are the most comfortable shoe for all day wear at work on my feet. I have 2 pair of these shoes and both of them are the most noisy shoes I have. They squish with every step I take and the sound of walking is nearly annoying. I'm looking for a remedy to this problem.

This is a cute shoe, but it was too small, the ordering size is 9 to 9.5, read 9! If you are a size 9 and a half, I would order the size 10. I will order in the next size up and hope for better luck.

Does anyone but me have trouble with Allegria sizing? I wear a 7½-8 US. The European sizing for Allegria has the 37 at 7-7½ US and the 38 at 8-8½ US. Doesn't matter which style of Allegria I put on; the 37 is a tad bit too short and the 38 looks like boats on my feet. For some reason, I don't have trouble with other European sized shoes and fit fine into a 37 usually. It really is too bad because I really like these shoes and the comfort, but they just do not work in the sizing.

In spite of their appearance in the picture, these shoes run short and narrow. But, they are so cool. I wish I could wear them.

I got a 40 because my feet are 9.5/10, and they fit great. They feel good to stand in, and as long as I make sure to adjust the strap properly, they feel good to walk in too. I'm used to an athletic style shoe, so it will take a little while to adjust to the looser feeling in the toes, but I think ultimately it'll be better for my flat, ingrown-toenail-prone feet. I got the black sprigs pattern, which is very cute and more feminine than regular black, but it feels like the pattern may wear off easily if it ever gets scraped by things. Only time will tell. Looks good with white socks, tights, or barefoot. Ultimately I am very pleased with this purchase. Finally found a pair of shoes I'll keep.

Love these shoes. They sole is very comfortable and they are cute. However, my foot rubs up and down on the back and I don't want to be "breaking them in" by dealing with a blister. They will have to go back. I also ordered the wide and they fit well.

I wanted to love this shoe...the sole is comfortable enough to give in to looking like Minnie Mouse. Every year I struggle with the perfect shoe to travel in...I thought I had found it. Yes, the styling of this shoe is odd enough to get strange looks and comments in European countries...but if I can last all day on marble floors and cobblestone streets, who cares! Well, the soles didn't have enough traction for slick cobblestones, and the sharp edges gave me blisters in the heat. So while the sole and arch support get top marks, the sharp edges make this shoe a no go! This being said, some of the new styles are with higher quality leather are tempting me again...the sole is that comfortable!

I ordered the Charcoal Patent with the skulls. Adorable! I wear a size 11, have a wide foot and very high arch. It is almost impossible to find shoes to fit after having surgery. My work shoes, fun shoes and dress shoes consisted of men's athletic shoes until now. Wahooooo! Something girly and funky. Zappos is a star! They carry larger sizes and wide widths and their return policy is second to none. Hopefully Alegria will come out with some cute lace up shoes.

I love these shoes (charcoal patent) for the style, the support and the weight. My Danskos feel like bricks in comparison! My only challenge with them is the squeaking which I cannot figure out how to fix (yet). Also the strap is not soft and when I work them with only shoe liners, I had blisters on the top inside of both feet by the end of the day.

I'm a hairdresser with finicky feet. I love my Alegria shoes but this model has a tight toe box. Wore them so now I need to have them stretched and hopefully it will correct the problem. Ordered a half size bigger too. Great cush and support.

I bought these shoes because I needed comfortable walking shoes for a trip to Europe. They definitely filled that need. I am a large woman and ask a lot from my shoes. When I first put them on I was not sure if they were "comfortable," the extra support felt strange in my arches and they weren't "soft" and comfy. But I stuck with the idea that support was the most important thing. The shoes still feel strange sometimes when I put them on, but the most important thing is that the support they provided enabled me to walk comfortably for many miles, day after day with no blisters or hot spots. In general I had less foot and leg fatigue than I did on days when I wore athletic sneakers.

I loved the looks of this shoe. Unfortunately, they were too short. The width was perfect, so I'm going to try a different style that might fit my narrow foot.

These are so comfortable.. a god-send at the time.. BUT.. the Velcro used to hold the straps wasn't as secure as it could be.. BUT THE BIGGEST ISSUE IS... the sole of the shoe split in half. clean break just above the arch... I called the company and was informed that the shoes are bio-degradable.. what the heck? Who wants shoes that will fall apart...very very bummed and will not buy another pair.

This shoe is not true to size. I suggest you go try them on at a store prior to ordering them online. Other than that, I love them. So much better than Danskos!

Most comfortable shoes to work in the operating room but the material that holds the flower decoration chips easily, so, as much as I love the different shiny patterns they have, next time I'm gonna have to order them plain....

These are super-cute but they were small. Without a sock my toe was smushed right up to the end. I'll regretfully need to return them.

Second time is a charm with these shoes. I went up in size and width to get a perfect fit since I knew I would be wearing them with socks, tights or both! Put a button on any shoe and you have my attention. The strap has a velcro closure so you can work with the width to make it feel comfortable. These seem to be a pair of shoes I will have in collection for a long time, made of excellent quality. The only thing that I question is the tread on the bottom as it seemed so slick while I was walking outside. I was of the impression that these are great shoes to wear in work situations yet they have very flush traction on the bottom with just a slight flower pattern. I can't say that they would have much grip or do well on wet surfaces.

I have Palomas in two colors = Super Saturated and Black Magic. I wear the Super Saturated all the time, but I'm still not sure about the Black Magic. The Black Magic is a nicer, softer leather, but the fit is a bit different. There is more "give" to the strap that keeps the shoe secured in place (and this shoe would fly off of my foot if it weren't for the strap), and I have difficulty getting the strap tight enough to stay on without being uncomfortable. My Super Saturated pair are the only comfortable pair of shoes I have right now unless I want to wear socks with my Birkenstock sandals. They are great for my problem feet and have great support, too. On the downside, they are very slick on certain surfaces like the tile flooring in malls and big box stores, and after a month and a half of wear, the shoe makes an odd squeaking sound.

I think Alegria brand has won me over from Dansko brand. There is far less break-in time than Dansko. These shoes are great for those on their feet all day AND moving all day. These are not as great if you're on your feet BUT standing still (ex: grocery store cashier). Otherwise, I love these shoes and decided to keep them for non-work wearing. These are great for all day shopping trips and such.

Beautiful high quality shoes. This is my second pair of Alegrias, and I love them. The only problem I've found with these shoes is they squeak when walking. Not sure if this is because they're all leather or what.

These shoes are adorable and very comfortable. Probably one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. However, there are a couple of issues I have discovered worth mentioning. First, they are very slippery on grass. If you are walking on an uneven grassy area, you need to be very careful. Chasing after little kids in a park, or your backyard, while wearing these shoes is not a good idea. Secondly, I stepped in a hole in the pavement and ended up with a very bad sprained ankle. These shoes have a really high rocker sole - its quite a ways down if your foot tips to the edge. That said, if you don't plan to be in a park a lot, and you watch out for holes, they are extremely cute and comfortable. I just put in an order for the Belle style, which are much lower. I spend a lot of time chasing after my kids, and don't feel very secure in the Palomas after my sprain.

Love the style. I am a school nurse and my little ones love them. The fit is great; however, they sneak - I don't know why.

Sometimes, I don't blend well with Euro Sizing. Sometimes the 38 works, sometimes not. I'm a size 8.5-9 so it's always "iffy" with anyhow. The left shoe for two pair (Coming Up Roses & Woman's Best Friend) seemed short and the right was right. My fear in re-ordering is that the right will now be large, and the left on spot. Zappos is the best though, so I will sort it.
