I just started working as a hairdresser full time after a two year hiatus and was having trouble adjusting to standing all day. My job required a certain type or shoe because of a dress code, so I couldn't have anything too athletic looking, and I wanted something reasonably cute to wear with shorter pants. I wasn't having any luck with finding anything too comfortable. I was able to find wide width shoes, but all of the shoes had round toes and that lead to my feet cramping after a few hours. It was unbearable. Finally, I decided to look around and see what nurses recommended (Who better to look for comfortable shoe recommendations?) The Alegria Paloma came highly recommended for people with foot problems and heel issues. I was initially hesitant at the price but they ended up being worth every penny. I was able to stand for hours without any problems at all. My legs don't bother me after work either. It's an amazing improvement. The only downside to them is the strap at the top was a bit uncomfortable until they were broken in. I highly recommend these shoes.

I love these Alegria shoes! I wear them all day in the hospital for 8-12 work hours and my feet and legs never get sore or tired from walking! This is my 2nd pair of Alegria and I won't go back to tennis shoes at work again!

Awesome support and have had lots of compliments on style. My arthritic feet feel awesome. Haven't taken them off and just bought another color in same style and another style too!

I love the Alegria Paloma! I ordered them after Hallux rigidus surgery (big toe fusion) on my right foot. I wanted a rocker bottom shoe with a wide toe box that was not an athletic shoe. I cannot wear the Paloma yet (foot too swollen), but I know that I will be happy with it later because the shoe for the left foot is very comfortable. I normally wear an 8 but got an 8½ because I will wear lightweight socks. Zappos is a great place to get shoes!

I just ordered my 2nd pair of Paloma. What can I say? I have Fibromyalgia, nerve damage in my feet, bilateral plantar fasciitis and tarsel tunnel. I can wear these almost all day, and for the first time. I can go without socks! Love the Velcro adjustability and the removable insoles rock my world. For the first time in many years, I can go in public wearing something other than New Balance 411V. Try it! You will be surprised! Thank God! Love Zappos. Took these shoes out of the box and tried them on. I wear a size 5 and these are a perfect fit. I love the width in the front, my toes don't feel squished together. The heel fits nicely, and I appreciate the excellent arch support. The sunflower pattern is bright, but will look great with a subdued outfit.

Great fit! Very comfortable. Very stylish, the swirl of color is pleasant and eye catching but not overbearing. Easy to take out insert and place in orthotic. Insert is very thick, I'd say it's probably the best shoe on the planet!

Excellent shoe for my foot. I have wide toe area and narrow heel, with very high arches and instep. I pronate badly with my Right foot, causing arch pain. These shoes helped realign my Right foot and now I having no pain with no inserts added to the shoe. It took a little time to adjust as the strap seemed tight, but now my right foot and knee are actually more normally and I am walking different. This is helping my back pain as well Highly recommend for any one with troublesome feet.

I typically wear an 8 in shoes, but in the Alegria I have to wear a 39, which to them is the 9-9.5 range. They are comfy for my medium to wide foot and I love the colors. This is my 5th pair of Alegria shoes.

These shoes are adorable and comfortable to walk in right out of the box...I'm still getting used to the slight "rock" in the sole, but so far I'm happy to have found such fun shoes in an 11.

I love these shoes! They don't squish my toes like some other brands, and the arch support is fantastic. I'm on my feet all day at work and have been searching for cute shoes that are also comfortable; I'm so happy to have finally found these!

This is my second pair of Alegrias. I got lots of compliments on the bold print. These shoes wear well from the first day, but just get better as they break in. I love them!

As a stay-at-home mom of 4 kids under age 7, I love this shoe for long days on my feet, its unusual comfort, and its versatile style. I have the Black Leather. I think this shoe looks best with skinny pants, leggings, or opaque tights and a skirt (I'm 5-10 and I love this look, but I can imagine someone shorter not finding the Paloma/tights/skirt look on shorter legs as appealing). These shoes are not streamlined - they are boxy, bigger shoes than my others - but they fit snugly and give toe room. It's not a sleek modern style - it's more European, bohemian, funky look. Wearing them with skirts, I've been told it looks very European. I find these fit true to the size conversion. The strap stays very snug. Occasionally I've felt a bit tired of the strong strap combined with the heavier shoe, but only after lots of wear in a long day. When I was pregnant with extremely sore and achy feet, these were the perfect salve. They were my go to's. Now back to regular feet, I prefer them on rigorous days. I would travel in these, as they're terrific for lots of walking. I prefer to wear them with a thin black dress sock underneath, for added comfort in the winter. They are warmer and more practical than most somewhat-dressy shoes as their height keeps your toes out of water, snow, and mud. We'll see how I use them in the summer; I'm not sure yet!

I love this shoe! I was looking for a comfy Mary Jane to wear to work with casual skirts, and this was the perfect shoe for me. I bought the Rave on the Nile color, and I love it. Just like other Alegria, the inside is memory foam, and within minutes of putting them on, they feel perfect. That is saying something considering my pronounced bunions, and tendinitis in both ankles. The Paloma is a style I keep coming back to because it gets me through long days teaching on a hard floor. My only complaint is that the soles are a bit slick when walking through snow.

These shoes are very comfortable. They're better for walking than Dansko clogs IMO, but not great for walking-intensive adventures (like Disneyland, for example). These shoes are perfect for a mix of walking and standing. The strap across the top is firm and when I have used the shoes for walking all day, it has become uncomfortable for one of my feet. I love these shoes, and think they are super cute, but keep in mind they are suitable working shoes and not as walking shoes.

This is my first alegria shoe I have the Totally Cellular so cute and the arch support is good I brought size 39 it fit good even with socks with room to spare I'm a happy customer. PS The customer service and delivery is awesome.

These are comfortable. They provide good arch support (instrumental in my battle with plantar fasciitis). They are fun, versatile, and classy. I love the gray shiny color. It goes with lots. I highly recommend them. Thank you, Zappos. I recommend you every time someone inquires about my shoes!

These shoes are amazingly comfortable. I've bought another pair already. They're pricey but worth it.

I loved these shoes out of the box! I have a square foot shape at the toes and these fit perfectly! The footbed felt so very comfortable for walking that I wore them for two days straight. I did end up having to put a heel gel in for standing all day at work - they are not as cushy as sneakers. Much more wiggle room inside them as compared to Danskos. I ordered regular instead of wide and they were plenty wide for me, which is unusual.

I love these shoes! I work in retail and spend around 6 convective hours on my feet five days a week. I was so skeptical about these because the footbed is so firm and unlike any shoe I've ever worn. However, not only have they kept my feet pain free but my back pains have gone away too! I got the "Lovely" and have received many complements on them? I usually wear an 8.5 in most dress shoes and the 38 fits me like it was custom made?

These shoes are the best! Comfortable shoes are a must for someone who spends the majority of their work shift standing and walking. These required zero break in, and I get so many compliments on them. The Velcro strap allows for adjustment. I have tried many other brands made for comfort (Clarks, Dansko etc) and these are superior in every way. Zappos is awesome!

These run true to size with hose or light weight socks. Alegria shoes are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. From the first time I put them on they fit perfectly and required no breaking in. I suggest you go to a local store and determine your Alegria size since they are in Europe sizes. I love Zappos! They offer prompt shipping and easy returns! It is the best place to buy shoes!

These shoes are cute clunkers. I loved them, but sadly, they are too wide in the heel for me. I tried 2 sizes (11 & 10.5) but no luck. If it helps anyone: I wear an 11 W in a Brooks runner, an 11 in a Naot sandal and a 10 in a Taos low-heeled pump.
